Sharkticon 'Fish Guts' will be shelf warming everywhere at a location near you! I have seen him at BigW, Kmart, and Target. I like him though...looks cool.:)

No worries, I'm so jealous, he looks fantastic. I grew up in country Victoria so I know what it's like not seeing things on shelves (I never knew there were transformers comics until I saw a G2 comic on a shelf by chance once in Sydney), or being hours drive from a proper department store. the owners of the little toyworld in my hometown still greet me by name, and I moved out in '97 to go to uni.

Nah picked him up locally, I too loved the weapon name, though it is not reflected in the instructions. I am not usually into garish colours but on this guy pink, blue and brown look epic!

Hardly worth mentioning, but my copy of the 30th Anniversary HC arrived today from Amazon.

I had pre-ordered it from my LCS, only for it to not show up in the week's order, and a note that the order wouldn't be filled, as Diamond was out of copies. This was on the day of release, and I had pre-ordered with my LCS the second it was on the system.

Oh well. Amazon had copies, of course, so I had to wait two weeks, but saved $20.

Also got my first Gen 1 character figures. These guys are totally sweet looking, I am really impressed by the packaging and figures in general.

the backpacks actually can be used as stands - eg. Depthcharge's - bend the remaining tail piece to stabilize him standing straight... same goes for Rampage - cool haul there Zand.

Yeah, I turn Rampage's claws down so that they can act as back supports. He actually stands better than Depth Charge though who's very much reliant on that third back supporting leg.

I've half filled them. Got my MP and animated collection in. Still got my alternators, CHUG and combiners to go.

the backpacks actually can be used as stands - eg. Depthcharge's - bend the remaining tail piece to stabilize him standing straight... same goes for Rampage - cool haul there Zand.



Yeah, I turn Rampage's claws down so that they can act as back supports. He actually stands better than Depth Charge though who's very much reliant on that third back supporting leg.

Yeah, I pretty quickly found that using the tail as a stand was just about the only way to do it. I've found Rampage to actually be pretty decent at balancing on his own though. Pretty tempted to display him in tank/crap mode because I think they both look pretty sweet. One of the few transmetal vehicle 'modes' I actually like.

Apparently? No apparently, he is brittle. Xman, if you're not sure what Liege means, Megs brown plastic is brittle, and is prone to breaking/shattering, much like gold plastics from G2 era figures. Takaras version of Transmetal Megs is alot sturdier.

Yeah, overall I'm not a huge fan of the Transmetal vehicle modes; but I agree that Rampage's is really nice. I saw Rampage on the show before I found the toy in stores (I was importing taped off TV VHS eps from the US at the time cos I was too impatient to wait for Channel 7 to air them - all those ads for The Nanny still haunt me :p) ... I remember when I first saw him appear and he transformed into the tank mode with the treads coming out, I thought that it was so cool but there's no way the toy would be able to do it. I assumed that the toy just had wheels and it was creative licensing from the animators to give it treads. You can imagine how pleasantly shocked I was when I did get the toy and it did have those treads! :D

TF Prime Voyager Shockwave tries to do the same thing but just doesn't pull it off nearly as well as Rampage did. :)

As fans, we're often dreaming about G1 toys getting the Classicsverse treatment so we can have G1 toys with modern day engineering, but there isn't quite the same call from BW fans because IMO BW toys haven't become as 'dated' as G1 has. We are having new BW toys coming out in Generations for next year, but for the most parts the improvements are relatively minor; mostly cosmetic changes to make them look more like the show models. But the BW toys are still, for the most part, inherently just as good today as they were then. :)

I still love all the Beast Wars stuff, I really need to get my hands back on it all. They really are an amazing line.

As for today though, added some more vehicons to my collection and weaponizer prime has a couple of new buddies. I'm spewing the giant prime beast hunter thing, has such a crappy fluro red color to him. Would of looked so much better if they kept the red color from his non-beast hunter prime voyager.

[EDIT]: I absolutely love Weaponizer Bee. His posture, design, stance, face, all look amazing. He just has some weird hands, but facing them on his hips makes him so clean and tv show looking. Love him, first Bee toy I've liked from Prime.

RG1 #94 was another REALLY good issue, I reckon you'll enjoy it (and the GIG missiles!! Coolest easter egg EVER).

Classics Astrotrain - great figure, and I think it's a bit under-rated.

Octane - Bloody terrible. Can't believe it's getting the release in the new Decepticons 3-pack. I can't stand that toy.

Nice score though, and you can't exactly skip Octane either. Got to have him.

Animated Ratchet's expression instantly makes me think of the story of him losing a chevron. It's depressing. It's like the TF:A version of Fry's Dog from Futurama.

I love the 30th Deluxes and Sandstorm rocks. I'n happy with the Show accurate head on GO! Smokescreen but unpainted fake chest headlights!? WTF Takara?

It's a repaint of Robots In Disguise Megatron (Hasbro's version of Car Robot Gigatron) w/ a new head based on Deathsaurus (Deathzaras), who was the Decepticon leader in 1989's Transformers Victory series. It's an overseas convention exclusive toy, so it's not easy to find. :)

Hoist looks cool, but on closer inspection both bubbles are really scuffed up, lots of little scratches and some sort of wear, you can see a bit of it in the pic over Hoist's headlight. Can't recommend Amazon to MISB collectors.

Thanks.:D They had plenty in this hobby store in Sham Shui Po. They had a life-size mark 42 iron man with lights and stuff as well, as well as Encore Fort Max, Encore Ironhide and Ratchet (about $24 AUD each) and Takara Generations Skywarp, Blaster and the Autobot Cassettes.

Happy to pay that much for Hot Spot anyway, about RRP here in Australia anyway and he is a good toy. :)

In fact, the whole area/suburb thing was filled to the rim with hobby stores. Plenty of Encore and newer stuff to go around as well. :D

They're about the same, actually. Maybe just a tad cheaper, but not significantly. The real trick is finding legit Transformers in a freakin' ocean of KOs! :eek: But the place I'm at has a collectable toy store (the couple that runs it recognised me instantly when I walked through the door even though they haven't seen me in 2 years!). Hot Spot and Powerdive were both loose; Hot Spot is missing his missile and Powerdive missing his gatling guns. The missing missile doesn't really bother me that much, but it gave me leverage to haggle. :p So I ended up paying 450RMB for the pair of them, so each figure cost me about AU$22, which I think is okay for loose Voyagers. The missing missile doesn't bother me that much (it's only fifth version of this mould I've gotten! :rolleyes:); the gatling guns would be nice to have, but considering the price I paid (plus the benefit of owning it immediately) I'm not going to loose sleep over it.

I really wanted to get a hold of a Crasher figure and thought I'd have to look abroad to do so, but a week or so ago she popped up locally along with Loco (A childhood favourite of my own + Steam Locomotive! :cool:) & Tux (A transforming Rolls Royce who's Bot mode dons a top hat? - Professional :p), couldn't believe my luck when I actually won the trio! :eek:

Gobots may of been the lesser of the 2 competing 80s franchises, but there is definitely some cool aspects to it & these 3 are shining examples in my opinion. :cool:

Great pickup with Tux Hursti, he's the machine man I always wanted! I think he was based on Baron Samedi, the voodoo lao of the dead, hence the top hat and eyes that look like glasses, and I think he was also supposed to be a hearse, at least initially. I couldn't find anything online re Baron Samedi being the inspiration so naturally I stand to be corrected, but it lines up with his use as a hearse!

Strangely, one is still missing. My BBTS order was sent in two boxes. One arrived today, one didn't.

I'll post the full list later, and I also got some new original artwork, plus something that's a surprise even to me, so I don't know what it is.

So for those who were getting something from me from the US, odds are it arrived today, or should be delivered tomorrow I'd assume.

I saw 1 go into customs, then the second. Then the first came out of customs. The second didn't come out until the next day. They were delivered over 2 days.
