Re-release of MP-02

From various Asian forums/newsgroups, MP-02 will be released again by TakaraTomy in November. Let's hope the QC will be better than the MP-04 we're getting at the moment... :o

If they are constantly going to re-release things like the MP's then I hope they have some small difference so you can tell if they are first second or third release products.

i like this re-release I love the paintjob on Magnus far more than Prime even though Prime is a significantly more important toy.

MP07 is Thundercracker dude. :) But yeah, I non-nekkid version would make a re-release more meaningful. I'd maaaaaaybe get it? (depends on price/value) I skipped the first two releases of MP02 (Takara's and Hasbro's Target exclusive) because I felt the straight nekkid repaint wasn't good value - even though the prices we had here were decent.

It wasn't that hard. MP Ultra Magnus were sold at Targets in plentiful supply and I remember seeing them on shelves for quite a while.

Me too! $80 from Penrith, it was the only one that hadn't been trashed during the 12-14 months it had been on the shelves!

It is a bit odd that MP-02 is getting re-released, seeing as the market has had a number of MP-01 and 20th Prime re-releases over the past few years.

Yeah so now it's Mp-02's turn. :D Well I supposed it kinda works for people who haven't got it. I got my MP-04 from RK and felt cheated when Target is having it for $179, if only I had waited. So now I'm not gonna pay over $200 for MP-02, I'll just wait for it to be re-released some day.

I don't think you're gonna make it big after the news. Ebay's prices has plummeted to around AUD130 which is almost the same for a shipped MP02 in November.

Just look at the mp04 problems thread. I'm keeping my mp02 and not taking any chances.

I think it would be highly unlikely that they would actually be producing more of these when they could be making new optimus primes instead. They're probably going to be referbished returns.
