Club Magazine Issue 53

The next issue of the Club magazine is about to be released, and an image of the cover has been released (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/conventions-15/transformers-collectors-club-issue-53-cover-preview-178542/), promoting the second subscription series.
(it will probably have a full page or two inside to also promote the subscription series... which will be too late for people outside of America to see before subscription closes on the 17th)

It is however being noted, that the cover art is possibly confirming that the mystery figure is using the Rewind mould, as the detailing appears to match the torso.

This is the first issue I have gotten since rejoining that I didn't mind too much. Covered the FSS 2.0 series (which I've given in and bought so was actually interested in the article ;)), had a page about Animated Ratchet which was nice and a brief look at the G1 Terrorcons who are enjoying a brief revival via two other toylines. The comic was as meh as ever, and there was no real news about upcoming cartoons, movies or toylines and no interviews with anyone of interest so still sub par compared to what they were 3 years ago :rolleyes:.

Oh, and they covered every iteration of the classics seeker mold which was cool (turns out I only have 7 of the 29 so far :()

I spent over an hour on this yesterday.... and it all disappeared when I hit send. :(
Since it is a Funpub magazine, it makes me annoyed to redo it, almost as much as it would make me annoyed to waste all that effort by not redoing it. :mad:
Fortunately most of it is still fresh in my head to redo it.


I picked up my copy from the post office on the weekend, and these are the contents of issue 53...

P1 - cover artwork of the second Subscription series characters (the image in the first posting)
P2 - info page, telling us to pre-order the Subscription figures by October 17th... if we got the magazine by then.
It also tells us that they will be announcing the dates and location of BotCon during the Fall (our Spring), so only have one month left for them to reveal it.
P3 - photos of the 29 different Classic-verse Seeker toys so far produced, with a suggestion that there could be a 30th during the 30th Anniversary. (I only recently posted up photos myself in the Comparison section)
P4 & 5 - a two page advertisement for the second Subscription series, which would only be of use to those who aren't online, or got the magazine before the 17th. :rolleyes:
P6 - comments/review of the Animated episode "The Thrill of the Hunt" and the character of Ratchet. No credit to who wrote the article though.
P7-12 - Comic story, part 5 of 6 "Beast Wars Shattered Glass".
P13 - Review of the Generation One Terrorcons subgroup, by "Autobot Perceptor". Also no noting of who wrote the article.
P14 - Magnaboss bio.
P15 - Autolauncher bio.

I always wait for the answers the next issue. I'm good on modern era, but wouldn't have a clue about the Japanese cartoons/manga. The description in the next issue explains additional information about it, which I always like.

5 - d) Cybertron (this was actually my own question from one of the trivia bits in the magazine - as such, I didn't get to word it too well for a multiple choice question... but I was hoping that the Beast Wars theme would give a hint that three of them are the same planet, at one time or another - BW2 and TFPrime)
