Groups
Protectobots: Hot Spot, First Aid, Blades, Streetsmart
Terrorcons: Hun-Grrr, Sinnertwin, Rippersnapper, Windrazor
Seacons: Snaptrap, Nautilator, Overbite, Tentakil

Individual Robots:
*Robot Mode: All pretty same-ish for the most part. Stand-outs are Overbite and Windrazor. Snaptrap comes with a bitchin sword! The best thing about this wave is it isn’t suffering from what the last wave did, and that is having their great chest decals covered with pieces that obscure them.

*Alt Mode: The stand-outs for me are Hot Spot, Blades & Overbite. Tentakil looks quite good as well, in fact his alt mode looks more bad-ass than his G1 counterpart! The poor ones – Rippersnapper is shite! Bad colour scheme and alt-mode is pretty much the same as Blot’s from wave 2 of the Micro-changers. Hun-Grrr and Sinnertwin both look fairly poor, but they have done a good job of having two 2-headed dragons but with one bigger than the other.

Combined mode:
Piranacon and Defensor look great, Abominus is a bit average but not too bad. Like the last wave, I will be keeping these guys in their combined mode rather than individual robots. Perhaps what this wave suffers from the most is that their combiner forms are simply not as iconic as the likes of Devestator, Bruticus, Predaking and Superion so you don’t get that little squirm of excitement when you put them together to see just how much they look like their G1 counterparts.

*G1 Homage:
Not as good as the last wave in my opinion. Hun-Grrr is coloured like his Beast Hunters counterpart even though he turns into a quadruped dragon like his G1 counterpart. Abominus out of the three looks the least like any of his other incarnations as well. Hot Spot and Streeetsmart do well but First Aid’s helmet is way too big, making him look like a negative of Soundwave. However for the most part they are ok and good to see as some of these characters have not had an homage toy since their first G1 figure came out.

Overall:
For the relatively low price they cost, I think these sets are a good buy for anyone who is a big fan of G1 homage toys or Kre-O or both. Not as cool as the first wave, but still worth grabbing. Now, just to wait another couple of months for the announced Menasaur and Computron to get released! :D
