This is a Poll to figure out just how many Soundwaves we can account for here of the "600 that Toys R Us Australia had in stock.

The Poll allows multiple selections to account for yourself and include any you may have purchased on behalf of a friend who isn't on the board.

While this probably won't be a definitive account please try to vote representing your self and anyone you know who is NOT a member of the board.

If you ordered online and are still waiting for your Soundwave to arrive, please feel free to vote now or when you recieve it.

I'll be interested to see how this poll turns out.

For the record I didn't get a MP-02 Soundwave, I got a MP-13 and all cassettes.

obtained two (on hand one), the other is with my relative from NSW.

Saw some students buying one (Morley TRU), (I don't know how to assume if he was in this forum honestly):o

There where three on reserve so no idea.

You could just nicely approach them and talk to them. I often strike up conversations with other people at Transformers aisles. I've accidentally met other board members for the first time doing this (like Suspectimus Prime and Starscream77 :D).

From the polling thus far, there has been 48 MP SW units from TRU accounted for out of the 600 units, based on the 30-odd responses.

To be honest I was hoping for a slightly higher response rate... maybe a few more weeks will see a few more responses.

Could One of the Mods please modify the title of the thread so it's not so dated.

I think we did pretty well; 54 at the time of this post, making up 9% of TRU's 600 - and this is just the people who bothered voting :p

I consider myself to be quite fortunate because not only was a fellow forum member, M-bot, able to secure an MP Soundwave for myself through the TRU website recently, but the box itself is in pretty much perfect condition, and hence perfect for my MISB collection.

So I would like to extend my gratitude to M-bot, for not only helping me to acquire this much loved and very cool MP, but also for managing to get one that is in great MISB condition and then having it posted to me and finally arriving in that same great condition.

Another thank you goes out to UltraMarginal, who initially offered to help us out as well.

It's because of members like you guys that I continue to stick around. Cheers.

Edit: Not sure if my vote counts in the final tally as M-bot already voted.

No worries, just trying to help. In the end I only picked up one extra for a mate who was out of the country.

Well it does now :)

I selected 'sourced one from overseas' as I got a friend in the US to grab one for me back in winter.

I also selected '2 friends from outside ozformers got ones from TRU' but that is not strictly accurate. What it is is that the one mate had a friend that worked at TRU and he had her redirect a box to his house straight from the TRU warehouse. Apparently they came in boxes of two so he got two that had never even seen the store shelves or been unpacked by staff! And he got them wholesale so including shipping he paid $280 for two! The bugger is very proud! :D

To be fair he is playing with one and keeping the other MISB so he's not being a sod and flogging it on ebay for triple the cost. Doesn't stop me being green with envy though :p

Voted for the one i got, but have to note it was only because of the recommendation and assist from Sinnertwin that I was able to get it.
