View Full Version : Shia LaBeouf in trouble with the law, yet again.

For someone who only recently promised to clean up his behaviour, he's not doing a good job of it. Yesterday (Sunday 3am LA time), he crashed his car while drunk, injuring himself, his passenger and the driver of the other car. The crash occured from an alleged illegal left turn, that hit another car and cause his own car to roll.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,391755,00.html

He was originally arrested for Felony DUI (drunk under the influence), but released on a misdemeanor DUI (a lesser charge).

His past offences (drunken trespassing in a Walgreens store, Smoking and loitering in a non-smoking area) have been dismissed or dropped, but this one is more serious, and should end up being a criminal conviction on his record. Not to mention bring the new TF2 movie in disrepute in the process if this behaviour continues into next year.

I was surprised to read that he is only 22, but already has multiple publicists and attornies on hand.

One news source says that the only reason he didn't get charged as the more serious 'felony DUI' is because the injuries of the other 2 people in the accident were minor, despite him rolling his car in the accident. It looks like his left hand was injured enough to require surgery though, and if he is still has scenes to film in TF2, it could delay the movie.

Nothing positive is being said about Shia at the moment on the global fan forums, to the extent that it wouldn't be a huge loss if he wasn't in TF3.

I think it would be a loss if he wasn't in TF3, regardless of his dubious personal choices he is a charismatic actor, and an asset to the Movies. IMO.

I don't necessarily mind if they replaced LaBeouf with another actor - it all depends on how good the actor is.

But I would fully support Paramount if they replaced LaBeouf with another actor in TF3. I think most employees would consider taking measures against an employee (e.g.: sacking) if they'd repeatedly broke the law in a manner that would:
a) Effect their ability to work
b) Bring the company into disrepute

They could just kill him off in the 2nd movie & have Danny replace him... ;)

Buster was the high-schooler and Spike was the uni-student between the Witwicky brothers. :p (/retention) But yeah, they could do that. :)

Or just change the actor and keep the character. It wouldn't be the first or last time it's happened.

Well yes of course I meant it as a reversal of what Marvel Comics did  but wasn't it the other way around in Dreamwave? :p

I'm surprised no one's wondered if Shia has been taking some Mojo? Isn't that what the kids are doing these days? A little mojo?

Shia's gonna be in more trouble if he's making a move on someone else's girl...

Doesn't say much about her if she hops in a car with a driver who has been drinking all night with her.

Too many. Great player, he would be a loss. But frankly, he's not learning his lesson.

Of course, they won hansomely on the weekend without Tipsy McStagger (Carney), so maybe we don't need him anyway :)

I know why she got in the car, Shia's got a great pickup line:

"50 years from now, when you look back at your life, don't you want to be able to say you had the guts to get in the car?"

And besides, he wasn't going to let her walk all the way home from the lake. :D

Some dude tried to sell the accident's debris on ebay:

This is your chance to own a piece of Hollywood History

Like the moronic driving-challenged Hollywood geniuses of the past... Paris, Nicole, Britney, Brandy, Lindsay, Mischa, Kiefer... now comes the one with the dumbest name of them all... Shia!

Own a piece of his shame

Shia's Truck Debris

from the LA Times: <<Actor Shia LaBeouf, who starred as a motorcycle-riding greaser in the latest "Indiana Jones" film, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving early Sunday in Hollywood after he and two other people were hurt in a crash.

Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies said LaBeouf made a left turn and collided with an oncoming car about 2:30 a.m. at the intersection of La Brea and Fountain avenues. The actor's Ford F-150 pickup truck rolled over in the crash.>>

I just happen to live a few blocks from the crash site and collected some leftover souvenirs... broken glass and some plastic pieces from Shia's truck. (some of the pieces can be from the car he hit but his truck flipped and definitely suffered more damage) The debris was collected afterwards and was in the public domain on the street. a.k.a. it's legal.

The pictures show where the accident happened. You can see the debris scattered on the street in the middle of the road.

Get this piece of history before he spends 2 hours in jail and learns a lesson he will quickly forget.

There is no link to the auction because it was pulled down.

Anyway, for those of you who need your piece of "TF-related memorabilia", there's still time to bid on it... Yeah, plus all the promotion of non-robot characters lies on Shia's shoulders. We may soon hear about script changes/shot changes to limit Shia's time in front of the camera if he does have to go to rehab more or less immediately.

With how much CGI is going to be used in this film, I cant see why adding a pinky in with CGI would be that hard, and the surgery/recovery period from an amputated pinky cannot take that long.
