As history goes for Transformers, in the week leading up to Thanksgiving in America (4th Thursday of November) in 1983, Legend and Hall of Fame inductee Bob Budiansky created the foundation of Transformers Lore.... in a rather rushed manner (of just a week for the first 28 characters of Gen1).
More of the story can be found here (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/generation-1-1/this-week-in-transformers-history-1983-178834/), but in the lead up to the 30th Anniversary of the release of Transformers to the world, this week is the 30th Anniversary of when most of the iconic characters were first brought to life in the mind of their creator. (Budiansky, not Primus :p )

I would of been around minus five years old when this happened. None the less I got on the train very quickly after I was born.

And to think that he punched it all out in a week & here we are 30 years later...
One of my favourite moments would have to be when Bob first suggested the name Megatron. Apparently some Hasbro executives thought the name was too frightening, until Bob pointed out that as the leader of a race of evil robots, that was the point.
