Check them out before they disappear.
(it's the weekend over in America, so if Hasbro demands that these be removed from the American fansites, they might not get to it until Monday)
Some leaked colour-sheets (they are in b&w so are probably from photocopies) of three TF4 toys, that look like they could be Legion or CMDR sized, based on their simplicity and sculpting.
Two of the figures are noted with code-names (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/transformers-movie-toys-products-30/first-look-at-transformers-age-of-extinction-bumblebee-hound-and-strafe-toys-178866/) - and I can't recall where the real robot names are from (I thought that the recent Hasbro website listing had just their code names), but the two have been noted by fansites as Hound (truck) and Swoop or Strafe (winged beast). Since the winged beast has two names, it suggests that the robot names are just guesses at this stage for these toys... so just make note of their code-names for now to know which is which.
(I guess Hasbro were right to give them code-names, as they seemed to have expected this sort of leak happening)

That's the better of the 3. What the hell is going on with Hound having a Santa Claus head with a beard???

None of that inspires me to be very excited about the toys or character designs for the movie.
hopefully the two headed flying thing doesn't appear in the film without some sort of explanation.

Looks more like a cross between Castro and Hagrid to me :p
Yeah, Swoop/Strafe is looking a bit odd there - who knows, it might work

Why do they do that? Like how they made The Wreckers look like hillbillies:mad:
Maybe Swoop/Strafe is called that because he has two heads. Might be a split personality thing:o:p

According to someone on the TFW2005 boards, it's probably something to do with military fashion among the soldiers who use that type of vehicle. Apparently beards like that are popular in that area.

Are beards popular on Cybertron? I don't think so.:)

But isn't Hound one of the Autobot geeks that really likes Earth stuff? Maybe he's just trying to fit in.

Will Hound suffer the same no-leader-class fate as Bonecrusher? Stay tuned..

Interesting thought process. I haven't read that particular thread.
I'll have to watch the live action movie again. I dont recall the American soldiers that were stationed at Qatar having beards, which i would assume that being in the Arabian Peninsula would have been more appropriate? Or are they referring to Afghanistan & it's neighbours?

I don't know how common the full beard rugged look is but in some elite areas the military accepts it as practical.

many of the original G1 character designs looked to me like they employed hair designs in the helmet/head sculpt.
Look at ironhide and others, Mohawk.
anyone with a mouthplate could be likened to a stylised full beard.
many of the early chin lumps could be considered a chinbeard/goatee.
Helmet sides that come around the side of the cheeks are just robotic sideburns, some of which are whopping lamb chops.
There are obviously many that don't, Prowls and Ratchets head spikes come to mind.
Basing head design on facial hair is not really something new in my eyes, it's just unfortunate that the higher details of the movie asthetic make it look more like a robot with a beard than a robot with a cool faceplate.
