View Full Version : Voting for the 2013 Ozformer Awards

Paulbot
30th December 2013, 01:55 PM
Has started!

https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/otca2013

Voting will remain open until end of Weds 23 January 2014 with winners to be announced on Australia Day 2014.

The survey form shouldn't take too long to complete and nothing is is compulsory (except your OTCA username). If you've got no opinion or interest in any particular category feel free to skip it. Only vote once, duplicate votes will not be counted.

You should be able to return to the survey (from the same computer) and edit your responses if you wish up until the end of the voting period.

As an Australian fan vote, there is an Australian-bias to this survey so usually most toys listed and eligible for votes are those that were released in Australia during 2013. Given the lack of releases here this year I've had to stretch that a bit. There's also categories about TF comics, the TF:Prime cartoon, all time favourites, and 3rd party toys.

If I've left an option out you can use the comments on each page to add your write-in nominations in case I've left something out you want to see acknowledged.

If you'd like to go into the draw for my giveaway items (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=17532), it's on the last page.

Done... as much as I could - it's like trying to pick a favourite child. :p
A lot of work once again. Well done.
(I hope he ends up winning the "member of the year" ;) )

Just curious - Acid Storm is listed as a JP Masterpiece. Was it released to JP TRU as a "US version"?

I think that's just my mistake :o

Not entirely :) He was released as MP11A to TRU Japan. Not a new release with the traditional black box, but his designation follows their numbering system
From memory there was no change to his deco

Voted. Thanks again Paul :)

This year was more difficult for me than most as I completely skipped Kreo's / Construct-bots / Beast Hunters / Bot Shots. On the plus side, I managed to save some money last year :p

That's interesting, and I'll have to keep investigating it.
I was trying to look up something on it, but could only see the announcements of it coming to Japan, but had trouble finding anything to say that it did end up getting released.
If it did get released, and the packaging actually makes a note of MP11A, it might count as something different, at least for people who buy packaging variants.
But if it just had a JP TRU exclusive sticker on it, it'd just be like other Hasbro imports they've had over the years.

Wow - a lot of effort and thanks for putting that together! And wow again - it's only in doing these that I realise how limited my collecting is :o ! For the categories I could respond to, I generally only have one figure to consider...

I'll be voting one night this week when I have time to sit down and do it properly.

I have a couple plumbing issues in the second bathroom this week. bit of a pain, but has to be dealt with ASAP.

Just voted. Is it just me or are there less questions compared to last year?

Paulbot
14th January 2014, 12:03 PM
There were a few less toys this year which means there's fewer options in parts, but it's about the same number of questions overall. (I modify the same form each time and didn't have to delete a lot of questions).

Number of voters? Hmm, that would need a little bit of research.

Just finished the survey. I had to leave some questions blank, as my collecting habits does not involve smaller class figures and I don't really follow the comics.

Paulbot
22nd January 2014, 08:02 AM
No problem, I'd say 95% or more have left some questions blank and I expect that :)

If you've got no opinion or interest in any particular category feel free to skip it
