Yesterday I received first part of my loot from nexusnixx.

MP Tigertracks and eHobby Magnificus.

Like em both, a littled annoyed with Magnificus in that mine came misassembled. His thigh/knee was put on backwards. Easy enough to flip back around if it wasn't for the screwheads being burred. Had to be careful that I didn't make them worse.

Now to wait for the other package from him that was sent at the same time :rolleyes:

Yup, it does, which is why I got it instead for Bluestreak . I purchased the Before and After Launchers instead for Prowl - for variation. Good thing about the launchers as well is that they can be incorporated on the sides of the rear bumpers in car mode.

The Jap Brainstorm was around 26,000yen in Japan, where I bought it.

The price of the 'large format' Jap HMs and TMs are getting very expensive. I'd imagine that online sites will be selling them for upwards of $350 per pop for unused. Jap TMs (eg: Slugslinger / Triggerhappy / Crosshairs) can go for as much as $400-ish. It's getting a little mad.

About a year and a half ago, I sold me Jap Slugslinger unused for $450 to a US collector, just to give a gauge. Sold Jap Crosshairs to the same guy for $350.

However, I imagine that there will not be many people who will be willing to pay that sort of prices for the Jap pieces. So, sellers may ask a high price, but does not mean it will sell.

Nice! Have you thought about what faction stickers you wanna apply on those toys? I personally stuck Blentron logos on my Overcharge, and both Autobot and Decepticon logos on Detritus - the idea being that they're unaligned with either faction and more like mercenary guns for hire. ;)

Yeah, thankfully he is. You can see his arms are splitting softly below the wheels, but I imagine some even came packaged like such. In car mode you can see a few tiny paint nicks. But that's it. None the less, I'm wrapped :D

Nice! Have you thought about what faction stickers you wanna apply on those toys? I personally stuck Blentron logos on my Overcharge, and both Autobot and Decepticon logos on Detritus - the idea being that they're unaligned with either faction and more like mercenary guns for hire. ;)

I was thinking of none on Detraitus and the Quintesson ones for Overcharge. Quite cool to see how many faction stickers Overcharg comes with. Even the Earth Defence Force!!:eek::D

I know that is how the 3rd party Acquisitions (for TF related, but unofficial) thread started. So if you can't find on the search a certain toyline acquisitions thread, you can start one and that may snowball into the ongoing acquisitions thread for that specific toyline

That's a toy that I don't often play with, and if I do it's very careful fiddle play. I'm too scared to engage it in full proper play. It's as if that toy has WPS (White Plastic Syndrome). :p Thank Primus for Classics Jetfire though. :D

I totally understand your WPS. Many, many Jetfires are broken at the arms or shoulders and it took me a while to hunt down a non broken yet affordable Jetfire.

Picked up my MP Smokescreen from nexusnixx, and then went back to snag an MP Tigertrack at today's Nexus Fair.

Having played with Tigertrack for a day, and it being the first of the MP Countach moulds I've owned, I've figured out how I'm going to display the others when I get them (need to get a Red Alert, have both the new run of Sideswipe and the G2 Sideswipe taken care of already). Essentially, I try to display the maximum amount of range between the mouldmates.

As such;
Tigertrack: robot mode - one screwdriver, gun
Red Alert: robot mode - sparks, gun
Sideswipe: robot mode - pile drivers
Sideswipe (G2): robot mode - those kick ass guns
Sideswipe: car mode, no weapons

Guess the Amazon pile drivers for Sideswipe that are in the post will be bagged and in the storage up, but it's a small compromise. I'm looking forward to nabbing the next couple of figures from this mould as I wasn't expecting to enjoy it as much as I am.

Ok on to the extra the flaming sword is made of soft rubber that goes over the sword from grimlock ...and not a separate sword itself , there no coin !! wtf:confused::confused:it just a plastic shell that house the crown and the crown is made of Diecast!! yes diecast!! it heavy and looks good in gold!!

Wow, he looks good but he is small especially in bot mode. You can also really see the differences in the plastic used. The original G1's plastic looks clean/smooth and hard like you could snap it, while the new Whirls looks soft and flexable. I prefer the cleanness of the G1.

Hi guys, i've recently decided to jump into collecting the MP series given the quality of the figures. Long time G1 fan and im impressed that we finally have the sophisticated toys that ive always dreamed of some 30 years since G1 began.

I've bought MP streak and smokescreen for $145aud delivered and mp prowl for $80aud on ebay. I think these are decent deals.
