This has been suggested a few times, and I personally like the idea for a few reasons:

1. Lego is clearly a popular side-topic at this board
2. Otherwise, I find the signal to noise ratio very low in the general non-TF thread

So, I'm going to give it a try.

http://lindalane.com/temporary/tf/DSC03874.jpg

I have all the original Indiana Jones stuff and had no intention of getting the Crystal Skull stuff because of how abyssmal I felt the movie was, but after I've seen a few grab the Mutt Williams action figure, I thought I'd grab the Mutt Williams minifig, so I got him in the cheapest set I could.

I also did a bit of hunting with STL for older Exo-Force stuff as it's seemingly being phased out and on special in a few local locations. We're both aligned in the opinion that it's good supplies for building Lego TFs in the future (non-Duplo of course ;)). I happily grabbed my first three sets.

Is Exo-Force coming to a close? Or is it just the last wave is coming to a close?

Side note: I love the combo idea. Unfortunately the only place I can find the instructions to build the combos is online. Any other place I can get them/order them?

Do they charge for the instructions?

Exo Force is FINISHED!!!

As far as I know.

Damn it!! I was going to start this thread with my new acquisitions!!! But not till later tonight after I've finished building them...... :p
Yes, Exo-Force is finished after this year according to the Lego forums. There is no charge to d/l the instructions, but if you want to access the special features, you need to sign up (free). And, you need the Exo-Force special bricks that come with some of the sets to get stuff as well (screensavers, wallpapers etc...).

It's a pity Exo-Force finished as they were starting to have hints at transformable mechs. It was a great run, especailly the build on the last few mechs, which is a shame. I managed to get the lot of Exo's bar the Golden Tower, Devastator, and that flying drone vehicle from wave 1.

Anyway, my recent acquisitions thanks to the sales:
- 7036 Castle: Dwarves Mine
- 4995 Creator: Cargo Copter
- 4998 Creator: Stegosaurus

The cargo copter was a huge dissapointment. Besides the pull back motor winch, its a pretty bare and sparse looking helicopter. The Dwarves Mine is full of features and play value - lots of moving objects. The mine carts build was particularly surprising. The Stegosaurus is a must for Creator fans. It's BIG, a lot bigger thaa I expected. Heavy too.

I'm waiting for the new Mars Mission sets and the huge Agents truck/base. Blardy expensive hobbies we have.

What've you got coming Fungal? That Legoshop order? ;)

I found the instructions online, it just bugs me that there aren't paper versions I don't have to print out in at least one of the set. No matter. I'll just have to build at the computer.

If Exo-Force is finishing, I have better get the last 2 sets I'm missing from this wave!

I'm w/ Thanatos. I like my computer but when I'm building Lego I don't precisely like reading instructions off the net. It's not that sorta time.

Oh, and yes, I read that last night on one of the Lego forums and was bitterly disappointed. Apparently a lot was to do with Lego failing to promote this latest wave effectively. Me? I just think the new designs hardly come even close to matching the 2006 and 2007 sets. Of the new stuff I only really like the Hybrid Rescue Tank and Storm Lasher and Dark Panther. The latter two only make the cut courtesy of hte combo form. But aside from that they definitely are a step down on the originals.e

My acquisition for today (from the Legoshop.com):

http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q305/Redboost77/Acquisitions/acquisitions81.jpg

Haven't built the Devastator yet but will post pics of all built models when I complete the Devastator. What did surprise me about this order was that it was shipped to Australia from Denmark, then shipped from the Aust. NSW warehouse to me. The boxed was marked with Lego Denmark stickers and had postage paid for in Denmark but had a sticker stuck on additionally that said Postage Paid Australia from Lego Australia. Talk about doing things the expensive way!

Well I really, really wanted to get the Sandcrawler as I've wanted it for a while but something I wanted even more was the original Rep Gunship and AT-TE Walker as I have piloted and driven them many a time on SWBF2. Didn't have enough disposable income for them all so got the ones pictured.
Secondary market prices for these have generally been ludicrous to say the least so I am very happy with these new 're-issues'. Just had to get them as soon as I saw them.:)

Oh yeah...X-wing for someone special to my heart.;)

My first Lego acquisitions in the lego acquisition thread:

In love with Exo-Force at the moment.

The 7721 looks very awkward online but in RL it looks quite lovely and menacing. I might be able to use it to make a Black Zarak at some point! And likely it'd be the closest I'd ever come to owning a Black Zarak.

Oh, and the 7721 will be a very fond memory for me (beyond the fact that my gf got it for me so I didn't have to pay a cent!). Lots of craziness. When I bought the 7721 for Jaydisc and Fungal, there were a couple in the line in front of me. They were running some poor girl ragged by basically using an old receipt and then asking if they could change the items they'd previously bought with the ones they now wanted. The girl was really not sure about this but the two clowns in their suits pressured her and pressured her. The first item I thought "okay, maybe a once off" but then the second item was a DVD. The girl told them it wasn't the same barcode as the original receipt and the woman started imposing themselves saying they're the same price and she doesn't want to pay for a DVD she no longer wants. At this point I the checkout chick was going red with a massive line forming behind her and then said she'd do it. Pissed off, I intervened and told her that she shouldn't feel pressured b/c it's not really her job. There's a good reason why there's a returns desk and she has every right to ask them to do returns/exchanges at the proper location. The couple then stared at me with a look that could melt the north pole. The guy told me this was none of my business and I should shut up. I told him I was just being courteous b/c I felt they were unfairly pressuring the girl. The guy told me to butt out of it and again to shut up. I told him he lacked the intelligence to properly communicate with other human beings in non-derogatory words of more than one syllable which I found rather saddening. He told me I was a smart ass and I told him I just possessed the requisite vocabulary without having to drop down to his level. He told me to repeatedly shut up. At that point, I told the checkout chick that she should ask the manager. But by this time, the manager had noticed the commotion and come over. I explained that I was just trying to explain to the couple there's a reason why there's a returns desk and furthermore it's way too easy to walk into a store grab two items (one on the receipt and the one they want) and then walk to the checkout asking to exchange the items without ever bringing in the original item. It's a check and balance. Otherwise, hell I'd walk out with 10 Lego sets for every just having bought the one. The couple stared at me with a look that could kill and I just smiled blankly at him while the manager told them they'd done the wrong thing and asked them to come to the exchange counter with her. They were not happy. After they marched behind the store manager, I apologised to the checkout chick for making a scene and But it annoyed me that there were poeple like this. This was Camberwell... one of my favourite areas to shop. :(

On top of that, the box I grabbed for Fungal ended up not having instructions and I ran around like a headless chook on crutches trying to grab a second one. In the end I just replaced the missing instruction booklet w/ one of my own so all that worrying for nothing.

how many in the exo force set altogether??

About 31 sets all up but in my opinion only about 24 of them are worth chasing down.

Jaydisc and I have sourced out the missing 8100 one we really want which is 8103 and I'm now turning my attention to 7709 and 7712 but it looks like eBay may be the only way to go for the latter. I really really want 7709, especially since Fungal confirmed what I expected which was that the blue bot in 7709 is one of the best in the line.

And Fungal's helping us out too to get 7714 Golden Guardian (the best of the line from everything I've seen/read) as well as 7713.

The other great thing about Exo-Force is that it's finite... which makes me sad... but at least I know it won't be a long running addiction like say TFs. :D

How much were the Clone Wars sets?

$189.99 for the Gunship
$149.99 for AT-TE

And sorry GC they had no Force FX sabres there As far as I know coz the sweet young thing I asked about them didn't even know what I was talking about.
Such untrained, uninformed staff at TRU. She was cute though.

That's alright. Jay picked me up 2 the other day. He said Obi-wan's and Mace's I think.
It is a shame about the pricing for the 2 Lego sets. I would have liked to grab at least one, but I am not going to drop $189.99 for the gunship

I spotted a handful of 7707 (Striking Venom) at David Jones at Chadstone. Only place I've seen them since the original release way back in late 2006/early 2007.

Any other sets any of you after? I can have a looka t this side of town.

Only old 7700 sets really. A Supernova would be a godsend but I'm not holding my breath. I am looking at one on eBay though. The same seller also has a Sentai Base which I'm very keen on too.

I found Striking Venoms at a Target too and picked one up for Fungal. Personally, I wasn't sure if I liked that set that much so I stayed clear of it. I might pick it up at next sale if it's still there but I'm focusing on what I really want from the line first. Not to mention that RK order I keep putting off.

I'm a fan of walkers/spiders so I really love the Striking Venom. It's pretty huge but the Combat Crawler probably is the better legged mech. I'm kinda spewing I didn't pick up the Mobile Devastator from Target at the sale price of $72 to complete my collection. Well not really complete as I'm not interested at the Golden Tower and Sonic Phantom.

Good Luck with the hunt. If I spot a Supernova (or any 7700+ sets) I'll pick it up and arrange something. The Supernova and the blue mech in the Sentai Headquarters set are exactly the same bar the colour of course and different weapons and fins. Hah! A repaint with slight modifications! Although they are (along with Golden Guardian and Aero Booster) the best mechs in the series.

I might get my sets out and do group pictures. Am also on the verge on making some Transformers Lego with my spares.

Not really fond of the Combat Crawler X2 but love the Striking Venom. In terms of space it takes up the most room thus far of all my mechs due to its long, large arachnid legs. The Combat Crawler X2 just doesn't seem to fit in as well with all the other mechs and machines - I dunno what it is but atleast the smaller yellow mech is decent - its just the large walker that irks me.

I couldn't help myself last night. As soon as I picked this up from Jaydisc, I had to build it. I started at about 2:00. An hour later this was the result:

http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/7717/dscf3869gt3.jpg (http://img139.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dscf3869gt3.jpg)

It's a beautiful thing. My only one complaint is that there is no waist articulation. But that's easily remedied. I'll do it later tonight. I like it so much I even applied the stickers which are really good. They do enhance the appearance of the toy by a mile. I've so far avoided stickers on the vast majority of them except for the really stand out ones of which Golden Guardian and Aero Booster definitely are. I have doubles of both too. :D

And went shopping w/ my missus this evening. I felt left out since she got so much so I bought this:

Nice acquisitions guys. DD I preordered the giant chess set while they had the free shipping promotion, so the total was the price of the set itself: $299.99. It's a lot for a chess set :o but there are many useful castle parts I just couldn't resist... :p

LOL very cool Jd. Now you just need about 2000 standard 2x4 white bricks to build around that door.

Just got home with this baby; 7676: Republic Attack Gunship.

It was a tad awkward carrying it through Melbourne Central and on the train ride home, gets a bit tiring carrying a big long box under your arm whilst you have a bag full of textbooks in the other. Got quite a few looks from passerbys as my friend said, well it does stand out quite a bit.

Currently it's sitting on my bedroom floor, I have no classes or lectures tomorrow so I'll be devoting the whole day building this. So (hopefully) expect pictures of the finished build tomorrow. I seriously can't wait to get stuck into this.

I'm so tempted to get some of the Star Wars sets to hold me over until the new Mars Mission and Missions sets arrive down under but then my completist attitude would dictate I track down all the SW sets so I'm holding back. So I'm just biding my time acquiring older space sets from the Blacktron era through to UFO.

A couple of things about Exo Force I really love are 1) the articulated hands/fingers on some and 2) the big, beefy, mean-ass weapons.
Lego Space originally never did come with decent weapons (except IMO Galaxy Commander) so it was always a case of having to make custom guns to feel adequate.

Looks good as is, has a weathered/rusted look to it. You might turn it too boring if you make it clean.

So am I the only one not liking the new starwars lego? Seems too overwealming to me, and I don't like any of the 1/2/3 series vehicles at all.

Also, does anyone else feel that lego is selling out too much? I mean, just look at it, starwars lego, batman lego, speed racer lego, indy lego, etc.

I'm really liking their own created series much better these days. I still hope that the new space ones are good as I still havn't seen them yet...

I am seeing your points there...

...nonetheless here's my latest. Still haven't taken myself to see Clone Wars yet so I feel sorta wrong buying The Twilight when I have no firsthand experience flying it.
Also another Mars Mission just coz I thought this was a pretty cool fighter.

I recently read that in the USA, Star Wars is the most successful Lego line, but globally, Lego City (Town, Police, Fire, etc.) is king.

Great lot Fungal. Very nice. I like the older sets compared to the new ones in the sense that there's a lot more obvious conventional Lego pieces being used. Not that I don't like the smooth surfaces a lot of today's legos have, it's a nice classic feel.

The alternate models for 7700 and 7701 are excellent. Build them if you can. There's some official "instructions" for 7701 here (http://exoforce.lego.com/en-US/buildinginstructions/7701/alternative1.aspx#1) and 7700 here (http://exoforce.lego.com/en-US/buildinginstructions/7700/Alternative1.aspx#1) but they are pretty sparse and a lot of guess work required as it skips a lot of steps. Rest assured they are both great alternate models and I actually prefer them over the originals.

7703 is the least interesting of the lot and 7702 is my favorite in that line. Most likely due to the fact that it's got a more fully formed body than the flat backed others. Enjoy them, they are great! I'm still mourning the end of the line. :(

Piratescratch, u missed the sale! :( I wanted to grab that same Agents set too yesterday but figured it won't be disappearing from the shelves any time soon and I have a few other priorites atm. That Agent sets has that nice looking "crystal case" I want. I'm not sure about the build on the set though.

Oh! Another question I have is why do the Agents sets seem so pricey. For instance, Mission 4 have 340 pieces but clocks in at $55 and Mission 5 is at $85 for 498 pieces? That's pretty steep compared to the Exo-Force, Racers and Creator lines.

Awesome haul there Fungal. Practically all of my M-Tron, Ice Planet, Space Police, UFO, Blacktron I & II, Exploriens, Spyrius and Unitron I scored from my brother who's eight years younger than me and grew out of toys like most normal people do in their adolescence. Vintage is much more nostalgic and represents by far the jewels of my collection although the Unitron Monorail Support Base (http://www.brickset.com/detail.aspx?Set=6991-1)is pretty special to me. Just wish I had some room to build it.

Oh! Another question I have is why do the Agents sets seem so pricey.
I think Lego themes are priced according to relative (or perceived) demand.

Got this on Wednesday and its the funnest Lego Truck I've ever constructed:

http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/StompBrother/Lego/Lego-8635-box.jpg

First. Meet the cast:

http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/StompBrother/Lego/Lego-Minifigs-Agents.jpg
Agents: Charge, Chase, Trace & Fuse

http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/StompBrother/Lego/Lego-MinifigsAgentsVillains.jpg
Villians: Saw-Fist, Spy-Clops, Gold Tooth & Dr Inferno

At first I thought it was pricey but the finished product took me about 5 hours to build. I like to take my time and savour the moment :D. With the length of construction meant the truck was a LOT bigger than I thought.

http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/StompBrother/Lego/Lego-8635-Truckmode.jpg

To pronounce the size of this truck here it is next to MP04:

http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/StompBrother/Lego/Lego-8635-MP04comparison.jpg

It's the same height and MP04 just beats it's length by a centimeter. Here it is open with all the fun goodies inside in base mode:

http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/StompBrother/Lego/Lego-8635-basemode.jpg

http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/StompBrother/Lego/Lego-8635-projector.jpg

The truck cab is great. Lovely curves and sturdy. The roof is on a hinge to get your minifigs into one of two seats. Also the grille on the front folds down to reveal four non-launching missiles.

The curved front of the trailer folds out into a launching bay for the jet (with folding tail and wings) with two seats and computers for the take-off (The heli-jetpack is from the small set but looked cool with it). The Roof of the truck opens via hinges and features 2 radar dishes and 4 missiles. The Jetski gets stored in a sliding dock at the back of the truck, the Buggy and Speedboat is stored on the underside of the trailer. The quad-bike is stored inside the trailer and is hoisted on and off by the rotating crane. There are small cabinets, drawers and compartments for plenty (about 20) tools and weapons and two laptops (new?). The projector works a treat and has a nice retro sepia tone with grain when projected. There's a small prison for captured baddies with a breakeable escape wall at the back of the truck which I made a little diorama of below:

http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/StompBrother/Lego/Lego-8635-breakout.jpg

Please note the snow-mobile is not part of this set, just looked good together.

I noticed that Target had 8636: Agents Deep Sea Quest set. I guess they will have the exclusive on that one?

Also found the new Creators and Mars Mission sets. Was so tempted to get them all but my wallet was screaming at me to be merciful:

http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/StompBrother/Lego/Lego-76454993-box.jpg

It is a lot of money. Especially since I balance it out spending on TF, Lego, videogames, cd's and DVD's. No significant other until recently ;). But it's all about common sense and balance. They are there to let you know when you are going a little overboard though. In the end, people will always be on top of material or monetary issues/things. Budget and restraint.

Plus where do you display all of your lego?

TF have more display room than my Lego's. Purely as I actually play (transform) my TF figs and Lego's end up being display pieces. So, a lot of my Lego is in storage with a select few impressive sets out on display.

Pics?

Not gonna bother with posting pics of my collection of either TF as it's not overly impressive (especially seeing some of the more gigantic collections people have posted). Lego is all over the place. I'd rather take pics of specific sets than storage pics.

The Creator Plane is pretty damn awesome. With the right colours, it'd make a very mean fiighter jet. One of my favourite non Exo-Force sets to date.

The large boat I picked up last week from a Melbourne seller for $50! Great value but as my lil sister and I begun to play I was very disappointed. Basically, it's a whole lot of large chunks with very little construction. :( My sister absolutely loves it and all the mini figs too.

And I found your surfboard in that set, lcz128!

The Bionicles came from my aunty who's been keeping an eye out for me on her trips to the Sunday market. He's very cool in terms of articulation. Absolutely amazing. And he's also got lots of great pieces for robot parts. That said, his construction is pretty dull.

The sharks are brand new and BIG. You can actually fit a minifig inside it (with their arms raised up). The floating island and the speedboat are pretty good. The speedboat in particular is HUGE. A lot of these sets are bigger than what they look on the box. Set is $60.

Here's a pic of the set. Note the size of the speedboat compared to the Agents Trailer. Also you can see Agent Chase being eaten by the shark up front. You can push a figure right in and shut the mouth. Also note the grappling hook attached to the light tower on the floating island with a zipline that you can put a figure on holding a little winch. Not pictured is the small jetboat hidden within the island which bursts thru the front wall of it by pushing a lever at the back.

Usually yes. Jealousy along with other inherent human weaknesses like shame and guilt I've all but eradicated from my psyche.

Just seeing Fungal get those beautiful big Space Police and Mtron sets and one of my grails in Deep Freeze Defender is enough to stir up that unfamiliar feeling though.

Just finished building my 8633: Mission 4: Speedboat Rescue. Fantastic set, really pleased with it, not going to bother with a picture seeing as Stompy has already posted one. Now I just need to pick up 8635: Mission 6: Mobile Command Center which is the only other Agents set I want. I'm really looking forward to what other new Agents sets Lego decide to bring out if they do.

Are the sharks bigger than the usual lego sharks? Im thinking of getting the agents sets as well. Fungal I told you which Kmart has it in my PM although itll be very far from you I suppose, just leave your car in nearest train stn from you and go by train, Kmart in that area is near train station. Kmart is at the back of Westpoint which is next to the train station itself. about 10-15 minutes walk thru Westpoint.

Thanks Leige, but low and behold, Agents appeared at my local K-mart today (had a look during lunchbreak). Kinda pricey I thought so I'm gonna wait for a sale. Still looking for Mars Mission though. And DD, wait till you see my classic space lego purchases next week....... ;)

Got bored. Decided to take pics of my Mars Mission sets. Only missing the Alien Mothership, the Rocket Base and a couple of the impulse size sets. Not too interested in the Alien Mothership especially since it doesn't have a proper human vehicle included. Waiting for the Rocket Base to drop in price in some of the overstocked stores.

Human Cast (whom I believe are evil as they are harvesting the Martians):

Martian Defense Army:

Human Vehicles:
http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/StompBrother/Lego/Lego-MarsMission-Humans.jpg
Note the Hypersonic Aircraft (Top Middle) is large with a wingspan of 50cm. So these are BIG sets.

Human Vehicles Split-up:

Martians Vehicles - Stealth Mode:
http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/StompBrother/Lego/Lego-MarsMission-MartiansStealth.jpg

Martians Vehicles - Attack Mode:

Humans Evil Experiments to Power their vehicles:
http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/StompBrother/Lego/Lego-7645-EvilExperiments.jpg
Yep, the humans are invading Mars to gather power crystals that these martians possess. This is the engine room of set 7645.

My favorite Mars Mission set - 7699 Armored Mobile Drilling Unit:
http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/StompBrother/Lego/Lego-7699-Mobile.jpg
http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/StompBrother/Lego/Lego-7699-ExploreMode.jpg
Houses an aircraft that houses a small bike-like vehicle. At 40cmx20cm, this sucker is big.

7649 Ultra Drill Walker:
http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/StompBrother/Lego/Lego-7649-UltraDrillWalker.jpg
http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/StompBrother/Lego/Lego-7649-DrillMode.jpg
Main unit turns into a heavy duty laser drilling unit. Cockpit detaches as a carrier craft (note boxes on roof) which houses a small transport craft inside.

7644 Hypersonic Operations Aircraft:
http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/StompBrother/Lego/Lego-7644-ShipMode.jpg
http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/kk269/StompBrother/Lego/Lego-7644-ExploreMode.jpg
This thing is BIG. The two cockpits up front detaches, one forming as a light scout craft, the other a heavily armed attack craft. Main unit turns into a tower which swivels down from the back and houses a small drill tank. There is a small alien extraction lab in the center with a nicely detailed engine core.

Ah Mel, show a little willpower hehehehe. For us who have already fallen tis hard as I have now a whole TF room and a Whole Lego room to maintain ( Cleaning is a B@$#h). The Lego town is ever growing and evolving even if so subtly and slowly. And that Tumbler is much nicer than the retail product jaydisc. I was gonna get the tumbler but upon closer inspection I wasn't very impressed at all.

Mel. If you want to start Lego I suggest:

- Creator: if you want just pure Lego building using mostly standard bricks and plates
- Technic: if you like moving parts and complicated builds
- City: for the figs, although a lot of build shortcuts using premade peices.

I'd reccomend Mars Mission or Agents as they have interesting builds and a lot of play value. They are a bit costly but sales should lighten that load.

Try David Jones @ Chadstone Mel. I got a second set of that when Big W had them for $30 as the 3 headed Hydra is just as awesome as the dragon. Try out local Big W's and see if it still scans at that price. It's a set from 2007 so availability isn't as immediate. I'll keep a lookout on my local Big W's if they still have any and let you know.

No, not the dark side, the light side! :)

In my view the large sets are almost always worth getting compared with the smaller sets. For example, Agents Mission 6 cost around 100 dollars due to the Target sale. But if you got two Agents sets that added up to 100 dollars or so in value, they are not as weighty as the single Mission 6 set. It seems this is the case with Mars Mission sets too, except some large Mars Mission sets also feel a bit "empty".

I have to admit though that the thing w/ Lego I find is that it really amasses if u do not open them up and start buiilding. Those air-filled boxes take up massive amounts of space. Nice haul STL. The little white mech with Gate Assault is one of my favorites. It was the first to have the hands with fingers out of all the exo's. the little "fly" mech with set 8117 is amazing as well.

You should get building!!! I can't possibly leave sets in boxes if its within my vicinity. If you still can't find the time to make them. Just get the bags out of the box and bag them separately and store/throw the boxes away. Have fun though. Exo-force were fun to build. That Orange Tank is fantastic.

My recent acquisitions (thanks to the sales):

- Creator, Ferry, Steggo, White Convertible
- Agents Mission 1-7 (will get mission 8 at TRU this Thursday, was hinted at a possible sale so I shall wait)

Can I suggest you add Creator set 4996 Beach House (http://www.brickset.com/detail.aspx?Set=4996-1) to your city? It's mini-fig scale except for the chairs outside but its a wonderful house you can add to your city. There's a few other Creator houses you can add as well such as 4954 Model Townhouse (http://www.brickset.com/detail.aspx?Set=4954-1).

The Orc horde, theres those three and also the Dwarven mine and Orc Ship. That Battle Wheel is exclusive to TRU so that's the only place you can get that.

Yeah that is Voyager Animated Grimlock and Deluxe Animated Jazz. The Creator sets are generally huge. The convertible has an opening bonnet with engine, opening doors and of course the converting roof. The Ferry in the middle has the tip of the ship split open and the drawbridge goes down on both front and back via a little knob.

The Creator sets are generally heavy as there's usually more parts in them than regular sets as it mostly uses standard bricks and plates. But mainly because it contains about 6 pretty thick booklets that gives instructions for each of the 3 featured models on the box. So don't be too fooled by the weight.

That's some prime real estate in the background:D

8158: Speed Racer & Snake Oiler
8159: Racer X & Taejo Togokhan

http://img516.imageshack.us/img516/1237/75542605tq2.jpg

Both the Speed Racer sets are very neat, the cars are sleek and well designed. Only gripes is the interior of the cars are a bit bare, some weapons would of been nice and the sticker sheet oh god the sticker sheet (I'm looking at Taejo and Snake Oiler here). Other than that they look fantastic all lined up side by side. I really hope Lego do more of these minifig scale Racer sets in the future.

I really like the Deep Sea Quest set from the Agents line. That submarine is long, longer than what I had expected. It's about as long as my Lego Star Wars Republic Attack Gunship. I really like black trawler, Lego was nice enough to give you a spring loaded missile shooter instead of the flick ones that you usually get. But my favourite part of the set is the Slimeface minifig, he just looks absolutely fantastic!

Awesome Leige. Looks like you need some blue baseplates for water and an airport. That beachhouse Stompy suggested is good too. I bought two of them for my daughter who loved making them.

I love that city. I only noticed a few more things today too;The kitty on the house roof
And the animal head in the back of the transport semi. :D

That's awesome, Liege.

Thanks guys, took me three hours to figure out a more presentable arrangement for the roadplates seeing as I dont have a lot of choices to arrange it. Which is why Im hoping to get more. Sorry if the pics came out blurry, hard to focus with trembly hands. MV75 did you spot the pet monkey cleaning in the Fire station :D. there are a lot of nooks I didnt take a shot of (e.g. the crime scene, the runaway criminal, skinny dipper trio:D).

Stompy I saw those beach houses and am indeed going to get em, thank goodness for layby. TDD I actually saw blue baseplates but only on ebay, and Ive tried to bid on some ( some have islands design as well) but always end up outbid or back off due to it reaching such exorbitant price range. It would be great to have a lot of those though

Darn I really like those orc sets... guess Ill add that to the layby... darn TRU exclusive:(

But you see, the BF sort of snatched it away from me instead:

I think the Ultra Drill Walker is exclusive to Myer as I haven't spotted it in any other places. Same deal with the Volcano Base which I reckon is a TRU exclusive.

Each of the majors appear to have received the new Lego stock (outside Lego Star Wars) except for Big W. So we shall wait and see what they get.

Oh wow. I had almost completely forgotten about that line. I used to have the Robo Master (http://www.brickset.com/detail.aspx?Set=2154-1) set as a kid. It wasn't a very good set. Kept falling apart. Ending up gluing it together so it would hold. Very bad idea.

Anyway. I picked up Brutaka (http://www.brickset.com/detail.aspx?Set=8734-1) today from the Forest Hill toy kingdom. only $25, pretty good. Also hasn't been made since 2006 so I thought it was a nice find

Yeah once you're, in, it's hard to stop! I'm talking about the latest one at the stores, the bat mobile with the joker (ice-cream like) truck. :) It's the tumbler I think, 7888. Price after discount still a bit too steep for me though, so I didn't get it.

Yeah. I have a lot of the sets. I have the original Toa version and his matoran form Takua. I was just pointing out how they have changed him, since a light draining attack, from a good pure hero to more of a anti-hero in both his character and looks.

I must say I'm really liking the Castle series more and more, the Skeleton Tower I built last week really got me tempted and I picked up the other 2 at the Kmart sale on friday. Didn't really fancy the Troll Warship, but I'll probably get it later too. :)

The siege castle is so hard to find. I've been unable to locate one personally. I knew I should have bought it when Kmart had it for $100.

Btw, make sure you get set 7092 (http://www.brickset.com/detail.aspx?Set=7092-1) as it is one classy set. Lots of neat skele-horses and skellies.

Enjoy the building!

Arrghh Kmart has it for $100?! Wow that's cheap, the only ones I can find on ebay now are at least $149 and even the Lego site is that price. :( Ah well have to keep looking and yeah stompy, I'm looking for the skeleton horses set too! Basically the whole of Castle series! :D

Anyway more Lego acquis over the weekend:

I bought the PS2 Lego Batman game today. Does that count as a Lego Acquistion?

LOL! do you get a bonus lego set with it? if not, no! :P

actually.. I'm going to sit on the fence for this one. Just like if there is ever a "Transformers" lego, which side would you put it!

The Lego Batman game is alright, that is until you get to play as the villains, then it is freaking awesomesauce!

Really need a 2nd human player though paulbot, the AI is worse than it was in any previous Lego game.

I found on first impressions that Lego Batman is the most refined of the 3 Lego games out. Star Wars Complete saga was great and benefitted from the re-release tweaks and fixes to the "broken" parts of the game. Especially the Pod Racing bit.

Lego Indy was released before it was cooked. It had balancing issues with the difficulty especially how you pretty much die instantly with one projectile shot from an enemy. Don't even ge tme started on levels with a lot of shooting bad guys. Ugh.

Lego Batman is just plain fun. The melee battling is well refined with damage properly scaled and putting projectile attacks in the backseat to let the melee madness shine. Projectiles are slower and more obvious, which makes them easy to spot and dodge. The level design so far is great and the suit pads give the game variety while keeping the easy to pick up and play theme without losing variety. Hopefully this stays true to the end of the game. Can't wait to play as Catwoman.

It's dissapointing though that there's no online co-op for the 360 version of Batman or Indiana Jones. Lego Star Wars Complete Saga had it, so I don't understand why they couldn't implement it on the other two.

No, it's a game, not lego.

Now for a real lego aquisition. My power functions arrived today, so a shot along with the excavator:

I'm about to finally get cracking into my NXT and am looking at what Technic sets I can use for supplementary pieces for the robots I'll soon be making.

I think it counts. The same way the Transformers games count as Transformer Acquisition.

I picked up the Wii version of the game. And I got the Batman Keyring that you get with it from Toys'R'us

I suppose it could. There is the line, but yea, it is lego, even if it's digital lego. :)

Was the keyring a minifig?

Yeah. I was given the choice between these two. The girl who was serving me asked me which one I wanted.

Is the keyring a Toys 'R' Us exclusive? I've been wanting to pick up Lego Batman for the Wii.
