then after I replaced alot of parts and painted the Dicast and re chromed his bits he ended up as a G2 Prime. Think he looks alot better.

sorry about the quality of the photos. What do you think? Still need to find some real hands for him.

Impressive! The blue looks a tad light, but maybe it's the lighting in the photo. Should be a navy blue though (but quite as "almost purply" as the reissues). I really like how you managed to restore the windows, smokestacks and chrome. Nice! :D Heh... you're a regular Quintesson now. ;)

No it was easy. Over the years I have collected a ton of Prime Junkers for parts. Did all that just yesterday.

Curious about how you restored the chrome. hey if you bought one of those 3rd party sets - it comes with a matrix to fit in the chest plus 2 fists :) which the fingers open close and can hold the Cartoon like gun it comes with and there's also a rocket backpack :). I forgot what the set is called, but it's what I've put in my loose G1 displayed prime- I still keep the original hands in his chest. Good restore there Vert! The figure you started with is veritably what Prime should've looked like after his battle with Megatron in the G1 toons movie, then I might believe that ... yup he's gonna kick the bucket coz that's extensive damage.. and not just a nick to his sides...:D:Dhahaha

That'd be the BTS 03 Matrix of Leadership set ;)
I purchased mine from RK (http://www.robotkingdom.com/tfaop07.html) a while back & have used it on my Classic Reissue OP :)

thanks, had a look at what and how it's used... damn... too much work , I prefer just spray painting direct no preps or primers and all that hahaha, lazy me...

Oh im lazy. I just hit the parts with a can of black gloss then few hours later hit it with the alclad. Bang done in a few minutes. :)

But you need to have a sprayer for this right... I dunno how to use em... ready made Spray cans works best for me hahahah

that's the word I was looking for - airbrush, doh hahahah just came up with sprayer instead :p. I'm not familiar with using an airbrush, though my cousin has been telling me to invest in one and one of those vibrating cutting machine sets - forgot the term again...it comes with different heads you can put on it can be used for sanding as well.. aaaah you know what I mean ....

Oh no, not that Ravagecat. It's something smaller and handheld but not as bulky as that.... it's often used for custom projects. gaaah can't remember it's name. you attach different heads of sanders which look like giant cutips and then there's different cutting heads you put in it as well....
