In-hand photos of Whirl (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/generations-classics-44/in-hand-images-of-generations-voyager-whirl-179104/) have just surfaced. Looks good so far.:) But it doesn't look like the knees bend back.:(

Post Dark Cybertron we'll probably see Whirl sporting his new generations look...

Just got my item posted email from RK, can't wait for this mad-boy to arrive! They've really captured the G1 look, and he appears to come with a sticker sheet? I keep hoping that we'll get a Roadbuster that reflects g1 origins as well, but for the moment, very happy!

Ugh. As much as I want him, I wish he and a few others could be delayed. I have $500 worth of stuff on preorder at BBTS that's due this month :o

I'll be curioous to see the actual size comparison once in hand to the recent Generations figs as well as the original G1 Whirl. I'll also be curious to compare the sticker set with the G1 whirl stickers.

Pretty much what I was going to say.

A sticker for the eye? come, on Hasbro!
I'll accept stickers for the rest of the unessential details, but they eye just seems lazy.:(

I highly doubt the eye is a sticker, its just light piping.

Galleries of the Deluxe Scoop (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/generations-classics-44/tfws-generations-autobot-scoop-gallery-now-online-179100/) and Armada Starscream (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/generations-classics-44/tfws-generations-armada-starscream-gallery-now-online-179095/) are up as well, for your viewing pleasure.
This wave of Deluxes (Scoop, Starscream, Minicons, Skywarp) and Voyager Whirl are now seeing release around the world (except here), so jump on them quickly if you want them cheap... as they won't be seen on our shelves. :(

Are we getting any of the Generations line besides Metroplex?

Not expected that we are getting much. I think that stores will be waiting for new movie stock instead of ordering non movie stock. Online seems the best way to go unfortunately.

True, I do buy most of my stuff online. I was just hoping that I might be able to pick up a 2nd Scoop at retail rather than trying to get a 2nd one on eBay

Gallery for Skywarp (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/generations-classics-44/tfws-generations-skywarp-gallery-now-online-179139/), which came out in this wave - a lot more black on it than I was expecting, making it significantly different to the Japanese version (which has a duller purple, and no black at all).

The fifth and final figure of this "release" is the Minicon Assault team, and TFW has a HUGE gallery of photos (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/generations-classics-44/tfws-generations-mini-con-assault-team-centuritron-gallery-now-online-179161/) (and I mean HUGE... with enough photos of each figure to possibly generate a 3D model).
For those wondering (like me), the names for the "Mini-Con Assault Team" are...
Heavytread - tank
Runway - jet
Windsheer - helicopter
Centuritron - combined mode
(and for those who don't have this set, the three vehicles transform to robots, AND combine to form Centuritron - which is pretty cool for such a small figure)

I bet we only see the main line simplified toys like the regular version of the First Edition Movie Prime here and not the collector oriented Generations Movie line.

Even with the AUD the way it is, 4 Deluxes & a Voyager shipped from RK cost me $154. If you were to buy the same amount at Kmart ( if we even see them) it'd cost you $139, Target, $165. I can live with that :)

Ouch, I only paid 113.19 from BBTS adding the same figures to my POL. I thought RK was supposed to be cheap.

That's the beauty of PoL :)
i do shop BbTS, but at the time they still didnt have the Waspinator Deluxe Wave (this was before they sent an email explaining why).
Although i'm happy having the figures & what i paid, i won't be using RK unless necessary :o Comparable figures purchased outright from BBTS with trackable shipping came to $139 US -it shouldnt cost so much from a Hong Kong based seller

Noticed something about the sticker sheet when I was applying mine just now. Seibertron's gallery has a picture (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers-toys/view/generations/whirl/3120/1/47/) that gives the pilots name and rank on a particular sticker. On my sticker sheet however the same sticker says "Restricted Access Only Caution". Must be at least two sticker sheet variants out there in the wild.

Also given lack of distrubution to Aussie retail, it is IMO the better option :D

The sticker sheet that came with mine had that sticker as number 18, but didn't indicate where it should go on the instructions. I figured that William S. Hardy was one of the designers or someone else at Hasbro like what happenned with the tampographs for MP Acid Storm. Love to find out who it is!

According to Whirl's Wiki page, it's Chief Warrant Officer (CW4) Wild Bill of G.I.Joe fame.

That's actually pretty cool :) For me it works on a couple of levels. Back in the early 80s when Hasbro were engineering the reintroduction of GI Joe, Mego were producing a very similar line of toys called Eagle Force (there's even speculation amongst some mego collectors that the GI joe line copied Eagle Force  I've never seen anything to back that up though!). The one character that I had from the Eagle Force line was their character Wild Bill, which I have now got MOSC! That means that Mackyverse Whirl can have a pilot :)

This has been out a little while at online stores, but since it has appeared at US Retail, a gallery has been posted up (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/generations-classics-44/tfws-generations-autobot-whirl-gallery-now-online-179351/)... for anyone yet to get a good look at this figure.
