I already had a can of Tamiya plastic primer so I invested in a can of Tamiya metallic silver spray paint and went ahead and finished Hasbro's job for them. Looks way better compared to the brown I think...

I'd be more than happy to paint anyone else's if they can cover costs of postage for the discs + chip in little to help me recoup costs of the paint.

You should paint the inner circle green like its supposed to.
Think I will be doing this myself. Did you top coat it as well?
Great job though.

Yeah I was playing around with the idea of adding some green paint but decided against it because:
1) The disc design is not a direct translation of what he had on the show so there is a bit of ambiguity about which bit should be green.
2) It would require some tricky tape-masking to use spray paints or I would have to buy a good brush to do it.
3) I didn't want to buy *another* paint. ;)
I didn't do a top coat because apparently they advise against putting a top coat on the metallic silver paint.

Ahh I see. Fair enough.
I would recommend hand painting it, making it would be such a pain!
Really? I thought a gloss top coat would be ok? Id have to look that up. thanks for letting me know.
Just to show you what I would do, id paint this inner circle.

That's the inner circle I was thinking of putting the green on as well VGM! :) Can't wait to get a hold of my Rhinox figure and do this little paint job :D
What paint brand did you use and exact green color name if I may ask? Or did you have to do a mix to get the green hue just right to match?

I havent done this yet. I dont even have the figure yet.. still wiating to get it.
I did a photobash of one of llamatron's photos to show him how I would go about it.
As for paint, I would use MR.Hobby or Tamiya's paint. Once I go about it, Ill let you all know what color or what mix that I used.

The green's not a perfect match but I think it's close enough.
