Transformers Universe Game to launch mid-year

After 3 years of promises, Jagex have announced that the Universe online game will finally be launching in the US Summer (http://www.transformersuniverse.com/en/news/2014/2/state-of-the-factions-050214?utm_source=tu&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=state-of-the-factions&utm_content=cta) (which is our winter).

They keep changing the acronym, but it still looks to be an online gaming community, accessed through web browsers.

They are claiming that their website will be updated fairly regularly now, after such a lengthy absence.

The next we are supposed to see from them is an official trailer.

I got a notice from them in an email about it. All I could think was 'Yeah yeah, I'll believe it when I see it' :rolleyes:;)

Unfortunately it's now a MOBA not an MMO so it will be filled with a**holes just like LoL and Dota.:p

This is kind of amusing, I remember they pushed it really hard when I was at Botcon in 2011. got a free T-shirt. ;)

now this year I'm returning to Botcon and they wil be most likely pushing it hard again. hopefully this time it gets a release and isn't an unfinishe pile of steaming code.

I do like the sound of a browser based game that I can hop in and out of without having to dedicate hundreds of hours to.

I hope it's good, as I can't stand browser based games. Good/bad unity or not. I just hate having to play things in a browser :D

Hopefully it bears more of a resemblance to Team Fortress than DotA.

I looked a those, was pretty disappointing. It's the level of quality I expect out of university students. So I hope they're going for much lower level graphics and the gameplay ends up being phenomenal. Due to the amount of time it's taking.
