Included are many AOE toys (both simple and Generations) as well as Generations IDW G1 toys. Construct Bots and Kre-o both make a return. Also a MP Grimlock in Hasbro packaging is shown with Japanese writing and labeled as MP-03.

Those Aoe deluxe toys look terrible, Generations Voyagers are amazing the deluxes are okay but the real prize for me is MP Grimlock.

Evasion mode AoE Optimus Prime has a G1 truck mode which is interesting but for me the real winner is Roadbuster :D !
And just saw MP Grimlock! This will be great for anyone still wanting one of these.

73 "Collector" figures for 2014 ... products that are fan focused. and
7 more "classified" figures coming down the pipes later.
One more BW toy, come on! And a Pred, to even it up!
I can remember soaking in the joy-filled pictures from last year's event, with the first glimpses of Generations Rhinox. No joy for me personally in this year's pics, but nice to see Tailgate getting a toy.

Um... excitement for Masterpiece Grimlock... did I accidentally click on a link to Toy Fair 2008?
For me, the best news is that Reflector and Gears might actually be released, as they're HasTakTom's two most neglected GeeWun Transformers. Roadbuster is a great homage to the original toy, and is perfectly in tune with Voyager Whirl. Sky-Byte is unfortunately a failure. Of the movie toys, only the dinosaurs from Deluxe-size up look good, and I love that they look like knights in robot mode. Slug and the spinosaurus look awesome. Kreon Punch is cute.

Masterpiece Grimlock looks nice, especially the box. :) Roadbuster and Sky-Byte look nicely done, especially Roadbuster, but I have yet to see them in any fiction I've read or seen, so pass for me for now. Rattrap has really taken my interest, as has Jetfire, who is beautiful. The others are okay, not really in my interest but good looking toys nonetheless. Gears looks nice, but like some of the other toys there, I'd like to see them with a properly done paintjob, as they look pretty unfinished. Good to see Swerve, Cosmos, Tailgate (with packaging ;)) and Skrapnel. Will get Gears and maybe Acid Storm.
AOE stuff, can't say much, with not all that much Generations stuff being revealed yet for it. The simplified stuff is meh for me, as it should be.
Overall, pretty good, but not as enticing as last year. (Blitzwing, Springer, Metroplex, IDW Deluxes- can't beat all that) ;)

I'm still salivating over those Generations figures.
Quite disappointed in the AoE figures this year, only a handful that look mildly appealing. I expected a lot more of Leader Grimlock but it really doesn't do anything for me.
I would say that my wallet is happier for it, however the other reveals have offset that. Now to build another shelf.......

So many pics and details - after all the secrecy so far, and at the European Toyfairs, I was expecting a closed exhibit like in 2007.
It might be worth going to our Toyfair after all.

Woke up full of excitement to look through the pics from Toy Fair, saw a AOE bumblebee and my hope instantly dropped
looking through all the pics very VERY few AOE generations figures appeal to me at all, but I may still try and get a few (assuming they get released over here) Evasion mode Optimus is a little weird but kinda nice, most other seem a little skinny and kibbly, and I'm kinda sad crosshairs can't flip down his goggles, also what is up with Hound's accordion arms?
The main line AOE stuff doesn't appeal to me at all.
The Kre-O/Kreon stuff is as nice as always, but who are these new combiners meant to be?
Construct-bots don't really interest me, but I've gotta say, their dinobots look better than the main line ones haha
Looking at the non-AOE generations stuff, it all looks really nice, I LOOOOVE that rattrap, looks way better than what we saw from the Collectors Club magazine reveal, Tankor still looks a little weird, but nice, Jihaxus looks nice, strange that Nightbeat isn't shown even though they confirmed he is a goldfire repaint instead of a Jazz repaint. Wingblade looks a little weird (and mistransformed) but kinda nice, wasn't expecting her jet mode to be quite so black. Skybyte's head seems a little large and his chest looks mistranformed but he still seems cool, Jetfrie is HUGE and looks great in robot mode, but I worry about his transformation. Roadbuster's robot mode doesn't appeal to me all that much but I absolutely LOVE his vehicle mode.
and it's good to see that Tailgate and Skrapnel still seem to be coming too.
doesn't beat last years reveals but there were a few nice things and surprises here.

Nightbeat is better than expected and a retool of the the Bumblebee/Goldfire mould rather than Jazz (which was Photoshopped a few weeks back):

TFW2005 have started posting official Hasbro pics of the Generations figures, including Nightbeat (Bumblebee/Goldbug redo) (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/generations-classics-44/toy-fair-2014-generations-deluxe-nightbeat-windblade-and-jhiaxus-official-images-179302/).
Roadbuster looks great (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/generations-classics-44/toy-fair-2014-generations-voyagers-sky-byte-and-roadbuster-official-images-179303/).

Jetfire looks absolutely stunning. I was worried for a moment, because I thought he wouldn't have a second, more cartoony face/head, but wow.
Nightbeat looks AMAZING as well, better than I expected. :) Gears looks nice (was hoping he'd be his own mould, but this one suits fine) and Acid Storm I'm on the fence about, not sure if I honestly care about him that much.

I like the AoE Dinobots in the larger sizes, colours are awesome, hope they are those lovely blues and purples in the actual movie.
Generations looks mostly great, Jhiaxus is not as different colourwise as I was expecting and Roadbuster is brilliant. Skybyte is better than I expected, but the curved shark mode will be a pain to display in shark mode. Nightbeat is much better as a Bumblebee repaint, from the early pics, it'll easily be my favourite of the mold. The better pics of Windblade do not impress me, that is alot of wings hanging off her arms and some too noticeably large gaps in her jet mode where the legs fold up. Feels like by going for a different style transformation, which is good to see them attempt, they botched everything about the toy design.
Minifig Kreons are awesome, but the playsets look sparse and the combiners lack something without having toys/characters that we care about in them.
If all of these lines actually get released here, or abroad I will be surprised, hopefully the Dinobots are all part of wave 1, a they look chunky and less movie styled enough to get as opposed to yet another Prime and Bumblebee.

The Kre-O/Kreon stuff is as nice as always, but who are these new combiners meant to be?
The white one looks like a repaint of Piranicon that was released for Beast Wars Neo called God Neptune, and the other is based off the PCC combiner Grimstone.

After two hours of note-taking, that's a lot of product for this year.
And now the official product images are being posted up too, to save.
Heaps of kids stuff this time, which we knew about... so it might make it better for us older fans, in that "our" figures shouldn't be ruined by gimmicks, and that there will be less for us to choose between to buy if they just do one or two "premium" cast character toys as "Generations Movie" toys.
The gimmick stuff though will leave parents with more to have to work out which one to choose for their youngen. One-step, Stomp & Chomp, Flip & Change, Quickdraw, Spin Attack, Race & Spark, and non-convertible figures.... in addition to the "Generations", Construct Bots and Kreo Movie product.
Too bad for those trying to avoid movie spoilers, as the non-movie stuff is so interwoven with the movie displays and photos... it's almost impossible to go to a link without seeing some Movie characters.
Nice to see another wave of Microchangers (but only 6 are named, and I could only work out 1 of the others), and another 4 Combiners (which are all unique characters now... after all nine of the early Gen1 combiners were done).
Good to see the Generations Legends on display - it means they are still available to all Retailers... and I hope they are at our Toyfair as well, so I can harass the local retailers to get them.
Roadbuster and Sky Byte look okay, but have their flaws. I'm not liking the random shiny parts on Jetfire, and would have preferred a Skyfire design to be honest. This mutated form of the two doesn't look right in either toy or cartoon sense.... but is likely to be Hasbro's way of giving the finger to Harmony Gold by maintaining the toy aesthetics instead of the comic/cartoon look of the character.
(which actually goes against my usual policy of going with toy versions if there is conflict between toy and story - like Rumble & Frenzy)
The 3rd size of Construct-Bots (Dinobot Warriors class - not the ones found in Adelaide yesterday), have the smaller Dinobot beast be pulled apart and become the armour of the larger figure in the box... a bit like Optimus & Jetfire in the 2nd Movie. And it looked like a single 4th size class on display as well... which could be very expensive here based on the prices of the smaller classes.
At least the Movie toys in "Generations" is just a sticker on the window... so that Generations fans can still ignore them as not being part of the "real" Generations line. (provided that the real Generations toys aren't just the same packaging)
Not surprised by this year's theme, but I'm not happy that MP Grimlock is being reissued, in what looks to be identical to the previous Hasbro release. I might just see if I can buy the box from someone who gets the toy... as it will go with the set of MP boxes, without having to buy an identical toy.
Between the movie Dinos, MP Grimlock, the Kreo Grimstone combiner and the Rescue Bots Dinos, I'm really feeling hopeful that TakaraTomy pulls out some Dinobot Reissues this year.
At least we now know who the white cab-truck and black/grey cab-truck are that we saw on the film shoots... but those name details are for the Movie section. ;)

Finally(?) an official Deaths Head toy (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/toy-fair-2014-coverage-marvel-infinite-series-deaths-head-gallery/29431/) that looks much like the version in the original Transformers (UK) comic.

Kreo Microchangers wave 5.
Looking between the two major sites, neither one took pics of the sides of the box, which would have had all 12 names (only 6 are on the front of the box).
Seibertron noted names from the presentation, and since some are really weird, or written down wrong, I was seeing if we could pair up the other six.
(or, if you know of a site that took pics of the box sides, let us know)
The names on the front of the box - Fangwolf, Nightbeat, Trypticon, Mindwipe, Torosaur, Jetwash.
Names from the presentation - Jarugar, Skarpnel, Hawk, Wingspan, Highbrow, Misfire.
From this photo at TFW (http://cdn.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attach/4/1/4/0/8/TF-2014---Transformers-281_1392495429.jpg), we have at the back, left to right...
Jetwash (new character?)
Fangwolf (Weirdwolf? - chest detail makes me think of SkyByte though)
Trypticon (Gen1... with a robot mode)
? Jarugar (JP Gen1 - Liokaiser)
Torosaur (??? a fuzor?)
Mindwipe (Gen1)
And at the front, left to right...
Nightbeat (Gen1 - looks more like Punch)
? Wingspan (Gen1 Clone) or Hawk (JP Gen1 Guyhawk - Liokaiser)
? Skarpnel (Shrapnel?)
Highbrow (Gen1)
? Misfire (Gen1 - looks like an Autobot symbol on the chest though)
?
If two of those are indeed from Liokaiser, it could mean a future combiner being based on that set, as other combiners had "missing members" released as bagged figures.
If some of those are actually new characters, they should be doing the various iconic characters that were Kreons in the buildsets, that didn't have alt-modes. That would fill up a couple waves.

the dinosaurs from Deluxe-size up look good, and I love that they look like knights in robot mode.
The best thing is that because of their 'helmets' they don't suffer from movie-face and actually look like they could be from one of the aesthetically-pleasing Bayless Transformers franchises.

Roadbuster looks much better than I was expecting - I was going to pass on him before but now if I find one for a reasonable price I'll nab it.
Sky-byte is...disappointing. I'll stick to the CR version I already have.
Quite liking the look of Nightbeat.
Windblade seems like she needs a little more red colour-wise, and I'm not totally sure about the wings in robot mode. Hoping the toy looks better in person than the pics show so far.
Really want to see pics of the rumoured Voyager Brainstorm.
The AoE stuff looks better than I thought it would. I'm not a Movieverse fan so a lot of it is still a pass for me, but going by the images they've toned down the fiddly/overly-complicated transformation style in favour of a more 'solid' aesthetic.
Would love to see some Decepticon repaints/remolds of the Dinobots.

Interesting pics overall and it's always exciting to see new TF product. However nothing really of interest for me but that's ok.
I'm a collector in his late 30's. Those aren't really 'my' Dinobots. Great for the kids and I could imagine this will garner a ton of interest from the 8 year olds. That's a positive thing for the brand as a whole. We still get some great generations stuff; jetfire alone is a wonderful surprise.
Seeing these hasbro reveals really reinforces my stance at the moment. I will continue to focus squarely on MP, whatever chug pops up, and third party. Plenty of stuff to keep me very interested there ;) kind of nice in a way not having to overextend and worry over all this other product

Wow! The classic generations line is just getting better and better. Josh Lamb wasn't kidding about 2014 being a big year for Generations after all:) I agree that Windblade could use more red in jet mode though.
Those AOE generations figures don't look half bad IMHO and are definitely better than I expected! Especially liking Drift and Strafe. G1 truck Optimus is a real decent mold but severely lacks paint apps.

A couple other things I noticed.
The Mini Mr Potato Heads have "Rescue Bots" logos at the bottom of the packaging... but I think it is just to promote their other line (as both are done by Playskool).
The BattleMasters weren't explained, and I haven't found names for the other figures on display yet.
And where are the Angry Birds Transformers? If they are there, the major fansites musta missed them (or I missed them :o ).

The Movie toys that are for the older collectors - even though us older collectors would probably prioritise the robot modes in their toys, they should be packed in vehicle mode... if they are using million dollar sports cars, why not show them off in the bubble packaging.
The likely reason is that the robot modes are bigger, so will look like better value on the shelf.... but it seems like such a waste having a set of sports car Autobots, if they aren't even used to sell the product in the stores.

Each figure in that line has a "power" move, like striking or spinning..... so I can see fans giving Scorn some creative power moves.

Repainting Waspinator as Bugly is pretty great idea, and I'd now like to see the Deluxe Waspinator get released as Bugly too.
Okay, next Kreo Question... anyone wanna guess at what the different alt-modes are of the four new combiner teams?
Grimstone (http://tformers.com/ig.php?mode=view&album=22554&pic=KRE-O+TRANSFORMERS+MOVIE+MICRO+CHANGER+COMBINERS+GRIMS TONE+A7827.jpg&dispsize=800&start=0&sl=toy-fair-2014-hasbro-transformers-kre-o-age-of-extinction-and-more-new-figures)

- Farside
- Power Surge
- Liftoff
- Lugmutt
There are some weird beasts in with all those.
Grimstone is likely to be an Autobot, but it's hard to tell if any of the others are Autobots, as their combiner faces look kinda evil.
Good to see those names; I was trying to make them out from the lower res photos but couldn't. I did wonder if like Grimstone they'd be based off PCC but there weren't enough animals. I guess they are all Dino-related for AOE year. I think Lazerbolt could be an Autobot, it's the less Decepticon looking of the three. I'm tempting to create bios for these guys as I doubt they'll get them otherwise.

Looking at the official pictures I'm disappointed that Roadbuster, Jhiaxus and Jetfire clearly have stickers. Come on Hasbro, give us some Tampos.

Argh! This will kill me... I've got to stop collecting multiple toy lines!

Ooo... Bugly's pretender shell, now that would be a homage if intentional.
But why call it Venin - I wonder if they were aiming for Venom with the name, but couldn't due to legal reasons... but then if that was true, why not colour it green and orange, because it would have been great to go with Chopshop. (and Venom is at least a transformable bot - Bugly's shell isn't)

Marvel Comics might be a bit touchy about other companies using Venom as a character name

Have any release dates been announced for the non-movie toys, or are they being released simultaneously under the Generations banner in May?
If the BBTS release date for Arcee and Chromia is March it seems odd we didn't see toys for them...

The box for Masterpiece Grimlock looks good but the figure paint is quite different. The face is partially painted and the entire body looks to be plain "Hasbro grey" plastic.
Im glad Nightbeat is the Goldbug mold and not the Jazz mold after all, though i swear in the pics using Jazz, the speakers had been remoulded into spotlights?
Rescuebot Evac as the jet would also be cool customised into the G1 Jetfire toy.
Roadbuster is cool but would be best driven sideways alot if you wanted to see what was down the road.
I like the movie deluxes we have seen.
I dislike the green army truck with "Lost in Space" arms. Although his boxart sports a helmet-like head with "A-3" on it - an famous abbrev.d name.
The 1-step giant Grimlock is cool enough for me. Watch a video of the transformation and rider electronic gimmick. Young kids would be blown away by this.
Disappointed in the voyager black truck transformation. But the customisers are going to be outputting some fantasic work, all these serious AoE molds have great amounts of unpainted detail.
I see the toyfair runs 16 - 19th Feb, that gives us another few days to see something new. I hope we will see the epic G1 tank Megatron.

Can anyone make out from the pics what bot is partnered with Reflector?
Can't make out the words in the background package behind him, or what he looks like in robot mode.

According to TFW (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/kre-o-42/toy-fair-2014-age-of-extinction-kre-o-official-images-179321/), they have the names confirmed...
The names have been confirmed as (left to right (http://cdn.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/attach/4/0/5/9/7/KRE-O-TRANSFORMERS-MOVIE-MICRO-CHANGERS-A6947_1392635956.jpg)) Wingspan, Fangwolf (based on Cybertron Snarl), Jetwash (based on Generation 1 Jetfire), Silversnout, Misfire, Mindwipe, Nightbeat, Trypticon, Jarugar (from Transformers Victory), Highbrow, Torosaur and Skrapnel.
So Siebertron got one of the names wrong, and the others seem to pair up to the ones people here were guessing.
I'm disappointed with Skrapnel being a new, red version of what is clearly a Shrapnel insect... because we have Kickback and Bombshell waiting for their third member.
Torosaur and Silversnout.... those names are as bad as the names for the individual members of the four new combiners. Of all the beasts we've had over the 30 years, could they not give these two a "near enough" classic name?
And Jetwash? What are they thinking? They have the name Jetfire... it is coming out as a toy this year as well... why do Kreo keep doing this.

And Mindwipe is actually Mindswipe.
