Unfortunately, we cannot control when the stores put the item on the shelves. For Example; there may be a catalogue that is being distributed that may include this item. Therefore, the product will not go onto the shelves until the catalogue release.

You may need to contact the stores head office to find out when the product will be in store.

The thread did sidetrack a bit when the TRU listing was later worked out to be the First Edition Optimus, not the YOTH Optimus (which we first thought, because it was listed with Starscream, and we didn't yet know about the Movie one).

Took my yoth box to myer and it is in the system but no price yet. A toy sale is on 23rd March so might be out for that. Another movie toy is in the system but I want to see if the product code is on the hasbro database first, because it is a 2pack listing I haven't heard about yet.

Not a bad price at 129$ u.s.d and shipping is cheap, got it in like 5 days after placing the order, although I am missing the other half of my order, due to it being packed in two boxes... Sighs... One Sunstorm M.P. and one Henkei Decepticon Specialists threee pack, I am sure I'll get it after Easter...

I snagged one from Singapore back in early January - was just curious as, between thread splitting, AOE FE OP, the Takara Gaia Unicron pack @ Myer, etc, it had been a bit of time without any news or discussion and a little confusing overall. Cheers for all the responses today.

Yup, I know that, I was taken aback myself so I went to take a photo of the YOTH Masterpeice Optimus and emailed Hasbro Australia again. And yes they verified that it is with Myers for this piece. I also mentioned the unicron gaia as well and they were aware of it.

I think Griffin has already taken the bar-code to Myers and verified.

It's not Hasbro Australia that is distributing this particular product worldwide. That's a generic blurb found on most items exclusive or otherwise in case Hasbro Australia decides to offer them to retailers here.

I would not buy this as a substitute for a Optimus Prime in a Masterpiece collection. Put that $150 aside to help buy a re-release in proper colours sometime (it will happen). Buy YotH if you are interested in quirky repaints.

I've decided to look into getting the Eva Mode redeco of MP Prime first, as I'm into Eva and repaints, and the deco looks like one of the highest quality I've seen on a TF in a long while. However, if that doesn't pan out then I would get this one - I can do without another Optimus in pure G1 colours.

That could have paid for one of FansToy's upcoming Dinobots or their upcoming Jetfire, or even gone towards the Takara re-issue of MP-10 coming next year.

yup. He's a masterpiece toy that's not overpriced if you consider the takara mp prime and how much himself and other iterations are going for on ebay.

I think I might go for it. I saw the box and it's an impressive looking figure! Never seen an MP-1/4/10 in person. I've got enough vouchers that it will be free basically, Prowl is the only other MP I have so he will at least be useful for playing/display and if there is an official re-release next year of the regular MP-10 then I've got plenty of time to save. Sure the trailer looks a bit funny and it lacks a couple of things compared to the normal one but what the hell!

Saw them at Blacktown Myer today. The colours on the robot mode looks rather nice, especially the darker blues. The choice of burgundy red was interesting, although I prefer a brighter more vermillion red for Optimus Prime. But the burgundy itself doesn't look bad at all. :) The gold chrome... eh... doesn't do anything for me. I wish they'd painted the eyes yellow though, I think that would've gone better w/ the darker colours of this toy (actually, I think yellow eyes on any Optimus toy looks better period; blue eyes always blend too much w/ the blue helmet). The trailer looks silly. Reminds me of Wonder Woman's Invisible Jet. :p I have absolutely zero interest in getting this toy, but that's my impression of it based on staring at it through its packaging window. ;)

I bought it last month but took it back as I managed to get a 'real' MP10 for the same price. I actually like the darker red on it but that's all really.
