Rumoured as a remold of Perceptor, but I haven't seen anyone actually make one. Most of the customs using this mold are of turning Perceptor into Soundwave.
Normally this would be a straight repaint, but I had used the shoulders for my custom Camshaft, so I had to rig some up using the leftovers from a classics 2-pack Optimus. I had to replace both the shoulders and the shoulder ball joints.
If I find more cheap Perceptors I may start troop-building.
(and yes I know Reflector is usually the name for the camera mode... call this the All Hail Megatron/G1 cartoon Reflector)

As you can see I still haven't mastered properly transforming this mold.

Ever since that announcement of a Perceptor redeco being Reflector (that never happened), it amazes me that Funpub never did that with their BotCon 3-packs... having them all the same colour like the cartoon (with one having a camera lens sticker on the chest).

Nicely executed Snakey! Maybe you could fashion some kind of camera accessory to put on the roof the alt mode so you can claim he's a 'Recon' or 'Google maps' truck.

Nice work, good colour selection and head rework.

might the difficulty transforming be related to the different shoulder parts you've used?

Thanks for the comments everyone - especially you Tets.

I'm pretty sure it isn't - they seemed to fit in fine where the normal shoulders would go. I think it's just me.

I'd love the heck out of that, even if they did it for the current Generations line. It's a good mould. :)

I also made what I like to think looks like a camera from Perceptor's weapon.

Very nice.
What paints do you use?
They're very effective in masking the base plastic.

Thanks.. for this one I used Humbrol enamel for the green and Aqueous Hobby Colour for the purples - and a spray of dullcote

Made the third and final member, and added a lens from some Gundam builder parts pack to one of them.

Why is there three of them when they don't combine into a camera? Uhhhh... look over there! (slams door, runs away)

I kinda like the smaller shoulders on the centre one there - makes his arms a little less long - I've found my perceptors' arms to be a little too long in some poses, but maybe I'm just weird.

Anyway, great trio!

No doubt about it Snaketes - you're an ideas man!:D

Great execution, as usual. So what if they don't become a camera? They will look great on a classics shelf.
