For those that live in Sydney or are planning on visiting around the Easter holidays, the Sydney Royal Easter Show has 2 x Transformer Showbags on offer this year -
Transformers (generic) (http://eastershow.com.au/showbags/TRANSFORMERS.aspx?src=search1.aspx)
Transformers 4 (http://eastershow.com.au/showbags/TRANSFORMERS%204%20BAG.aspx?src=search1.aspx)
While these are cool and a bit different from previous years, what we are still lacking is a Transformers showbag with an actual Transformer included. Even something 'legends' size would have been acceptable.
The Easter Show runs from the 10th of April until the 23rd of April.

Too bad if you're a decepticon fan.

Adding just a legends class figure would make the bag another $8 more expensive, and when both bags are already over $20, it makes them much less value for money.
I fully expect to see an inordinate amount of those Autobot shirts over the next few months around town.

The dates of the Show (early April) could mean that it is the first official TF4 merchandise released in the world, as Retailers probably won't have anything released until May, when the Toys start coming out.
If any of the official character art of the new characters is on the stickers, poster, etc, you could be the first in the world to have it in-hand. (there would be some demand in the global fandom for hi-res copies of new-character artwork, if it is of decent quality)

I wonder how many of them end up being KOs in the bag.

The generic one doesn't look too bad, a little plain though.

Farmer Truck Transformer sounds more interesting than what I can see in that picture. I was hoping for something like Gears from The Autobot Smasher carrying sacks of potatoes into town. ;)

It's always been dollar store KO's in previous years.

I can't believe that a Newspaper website would be promoting that showbag as if it were legit Transformers... even calling one "Bumblebee".

I agree with the Thom quoted in the article, I've never seen a lot of these transformers before

They don't appear to be KOs of actual Transformers toys, but are using a lot of Transformers artwork, which requires licensing, so should be illegal in our "Hasbro" market.
Not our problem I guess, if Hasbro Australia doesn't care.

Aside from hugely obvious problem of NO TRANSFORMERS FIGURES in the official bags, they are actually pretty chock full of cool stuff. Not great for Decepticon fans, but they will sell out pretty quickly I reckon. The knock-off bag is cool for randomness factor, but how much of an opportunity for a random Legends Grimlock, Bumblebee or Prime to promote TF4 do they have that they are missing!
