Looks exciting.
Always worried that Magnus would be so much larger if it uses the whole trailer but this looks minimal. Barely enough to change the appearance without adding bulk.

OH MY GOD ULTRA MAGNUS IS NOW A PHASE SIXER! RUN!!! :D
I think I see MP10 thighs in that silhouette, and quite a bit a bulk around the arms, legs and shoulders. Has it been confirmed that he will be MP10 with armour pieces or a completely original figure?

Looks like nothing we can really use to get an idea of the toy. It doesn't even look like a toy outline and more of a darken CGI concept image.
The most positive thing here is that without doubt, we now have confirmation an MP Ultra Magnus on it's way that aims to look right. I say that's really cool :)

The calves are a different shape to those on MP10 - armour that wraps around the back of the leg, perhaps?

Haha, I'm sure it does :P
But Hasbro have another 70-odd G1 characters to make before they go anywhere near MP BW figures.
But to be honest, I'm quite against the idea of MP BW figures. If they can continue to produce toys of the quality of Generations Rhinox and Waspinator, then I'll be perfectly happy.

A most interesting Masterpiece. Compared to other recent MP releases, Ultra Magnus with his size and possible play options has many questions that will take quite a few more images to answer.
His rifle looks small enough to fit in MP-10's back.

I had thought that it may have been an updated version of the Titanium version, but looking at the shoulders has changed my opinion -the shoulder struts seem bigger above the shoulders than they do below them, which impede them extending through
I'm thinking that it may now be an armour add on, much like the original; the angled lines around the torso, shape of the legs...

I have thought it has to be an armour add on to mp-10 style. but then wouldn't that restrict its movement? I dunno, have to wait and see I guess.

I'm generally not bothered by exclusive items because they usually end up just sitting in the box anyway. I don't display mine with them so I'm not fussed about getting them. The only exception to this was the Dato bros launchers. I understand why others would want them though.

As I figured, it wasn't a real toy silhouette. Nevertheless, I like what they are going with so I am looking forward to prototype pics.If you were referring to Fatbot's images, they were made FROM the official silhouette and not the other way round. And the Optimus imposed over the silhouette is just a guess at how an unaltered MP-10 frame could support armour. Fatbot's images are just a fans guess about how things will look.
Maybe a second head as an exclusive addition? One with and one without glasses. Or alternate looking missiles?
The coin should be inside a cardboard matrix that does not "pull outwards" or just very difficult in general to open.

Hmm. Wow. That's not like the silhouette at all.
Too much of that trailer is being used. It's just too much bulk. I can see using all of the trailer would increase the play value but this is Masterpiece. I don't care if there are leftovers, I'd rather only have enough armour to change his appearance.

Loose translation:
"MP22 is Ultra Magnus! The G1 toy was famous for being a Convoy with armor, but this Masterpiece will follow the cartoon concept. There's no smaller robot mode, cab and trailer turns into the robot. Same size and shares parts like tires and front grill with MP10."
Also says something about not having to detach the shoulder missiles to transform, but I'm not sure. Out in late December, price is 19440 yen.
The weird face thing is the "G1 toy respect mode" - it's supposed to be a Convoy's face inside Magnus helmet.
So no white MP-10 after all.

So no white MP-10 after all.
http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/takara-transformers-masterpiece-mp22-ultra-magnus-text-translated/29982/
Main paragraph: Masterpiece #22 is confirmed to be Ultra Magnus. G1 toy was a combination of a Convoy same sized robot and a big body part which transforms into a car carrier. However, Masterpiece toy is going to make its transformation as shown in the cartoon series. The cab truck will still have its own robot mode, but it will be able to transform with the car carrier body as one. Its vehicle mode includes a cab truck in the same size as MP-10, tires and front grill will be the same parts. In addition, shoulder missile launcher will be removable, but it does not have to be removed in order to transform.
Pic 1 with Leader's Metrics: MP-10 Metrics can be stored inside its chest.
Pic 2: Truck mode (in the middle) - Carrier mode gimmick will include movable ramp.
Pic 3: This is the size comparison with MP-10. It is made to be very show accurate.
Continued 2nd Paragraph: MP-22 Ultra Magnus will be released around second half of December, selling price will be 19,440 Japanese yen ($190). (Actual available date and price may be changed.)
For the pic on the right: With respect to the G1 Toy, under the helmet, it will have a smaller head of Magnus (same as Optimus Prime).
from the pics, i could tell that the lower legs + feet were different so it wouldn't be a white MP-10. if the new translation is accurate - they've kept the front cab of the vehicle mode the same and retooled everything else. the interesting bit is the transformation being able to incorporate the inner robot without separation!? to make the transformation more like the cartoon.
in regards to the chest proportions being off/bulky - that would be that its armour over an actual MP-10 sized robot. I'm looking at KFC's CS again and that is just armour wrapped over a box. It does a really good job of creating the illusion that its not there by having the front chest be a slim single piece and the cab a passive white. the hips are also smaller without the side skirts as seen in the TT prototype.
after seeing these teasers, my main concern is the back and shoulders.

Yeah from what I can see, the MP-10 'truck' just stays on the back of Magnus as a back pack with the shoulders covering the sides which is more or less what happens with G1 Magnus too.
It seems that we do get an 'white' MP-10 but not really parts former 'armor' like City Commander. The truck is a component that doesn't have to transform.

Looks good.
I was in the camp of wanting a white prime and seeing how they could do it and not look disproportionate, but after some thought the all in one transformation doesn't sound too bad. Also the lower price point compared to an additional cab is a further boon.
Just goes to show Takara's uncompromising vision to focus more on the animation side of things over toy side things.
Especially when you consider repaint potential, especially diaclone powered convoy. They could paint this mould up but would t have the same meaning.
Can't wait for more clearer detailed pics.

Happy to see that it is a uniquely transforming truck to robot like the large Titanium Ultra Magnus, instead of just Optimus inside armour.
I'm surprised though. Despite some possible redeco possibilities (Diaclone, Shining), it must have been hard to convince the bean-counters to allow them to do this instead of the more profitable recycling of the Optimus toy with armour/trailer (which would have appealed to fans anyway if it worked, as it would still retain the homage to the Gen1 toy AND any cult followers of there being a tiny white robot inside).
(for me though, when I think of cartoon Ultra Magnus, my mind always goes to the animations that has the white cab fold down into the trailer while the truck "stands up", instead of the cab transforming into a white optimus with the trailer wrapping around it... which is why I would have been happy with either MP concept for Ultra Magnus - one would remind me of the cartoon, while the other would remind me of the toy)

So no inner robot eh? I can't say I'm surprised though, it's a bit to hard to make a half decently proportioned MP toy with such restrictions.

I think they removed some play value from the toy by not having the cab being able to separate, but I'm not really fussed about it. Magnus has never been a favourite of mine, but ofcourse I will get it regardless. MPs are about all I collect now. :)
I remember it being mentioned somewhere that when Optimus was injured in the movie his toy was going to be replaced by the UM toy, like some sort of life-support power armor. Instead the made it a different character.

So, wait...just to clarify: the cab does NOT transform in to a robot in it's own right?
The translations I've seen said it did, and my Japanese isn't good enough to translate the right part of the original text. That said, I'd be sort of surprised if it did given the price it's supposed to be going for.
Not that I'm really fussed, if it looks good I'll pick it up, if not then I'll pass. City Commander is great and all, but it doesn't quite scratch that nostalgia itch.

According to the translation Kaiden linked to (http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/news/takara-transformers-masterpiece-mp22-ultra-magnus-text-translated/29982/) earlier, it does.
What I got from that translation is that the cab is a modified MP10 that can transform into a white Prime, but it also transforms (combines?) with the trailer.

Most of the uncertainties regarding the cab is made clear in this pic.
Is it me or were the animation Magnus eyes bigger?
Butt flap is a minor issue for me...
All in all May need to get 2 of these..beautiful

thanks for the cleaner pic hurst.
i can definitely see how the leg and arms are formed but i can't see how there's an inner robot - the cab looks like it folds into a backpack so the design is probably going with cartoon accuracy like others have mentioned.
love the facesculpt! its what i want city commander to be. i can now see that the bottom left pic is just the front of his face removed to reveal the underneath head thing.
disappointed about the inner robot though.

Very impressed by the pictures and personally I'm glad there's no white Prime. When you think about it if they were to include an armored Prime the figure would be that much bulkier, taller and less articulate. I don't think the original MP10 mold was designed to be armored in the first place. If you've seen marksproject's Ultra Magnus you can see the difficulty he had in pulling off Magnus's looks because he was going off the MP01 mold notably the very small thighs since it was using MP01's thighs. The amount of retooling required would mean the inner robot would look pretty terrible and is anyone really going to display him as a white prime?
I mean seriously do you guys really want another white prime? I'm sure everyone would scoff if Takara released MP10 in white on his own. Ever since that dreamwave comic I was sick of seeing every Optimus release get a white Ultra Magnus deco that's not Ultra Magnus in my eyes. I admit I own MP02 but that's the only white Prime I'll ever own and that was with the vain hope they would release an armor upgrade. Nowdays I'd rather Magnus to be his own character not albino prime with armor.
The fact that this guy looks superb in vehicle mode and can carry the MP cars is a huge bonus, The only part I'm concerned about is his back. Usually the back is the weakest part of all the MP's thus far. I did notice the tail flap but hopefully the rest of his back is great.

i probably wouldn't ever display him as a white prime but i love the fact that he is a white prime. that he is an inferior version of the Optimus Prime and compensates as a soldier with his armor.
in the end as long as the robot and vehicle mode are good most people won't care or will overlook it.

Or you could display your MP Ultra Magnus in vehicle mode (with four MP cars loaded inside) ;)
I agree with Nevac's sentiments about this toy not having the white Optimus Prime cab robot. I personally like the white Optimus Prime cab robot idea with G1 Ultra Magnus (actually I really love it), but I don't share that same sentiment with post 1986 Ultra Magnus toys. I'd rather see them develop entirely new moulds for Ultra Magnus. Currently my favourite Ultra Magnus toys are Animated and TFPRiD -- while these moulds have their weaknesses, I really appreciate them for just being entirely new/original designs rather than yet-another-redeco of Optimus Prime (I personally see RiD Ultra Magnus as God Magnus - an entirely separate entity </Gokiverse> :p)
Having a completely original mould that incorporates the cab with the trailer is, to me, a much more exciting prospect. While I've never been a fan of Ti Series, I've always appreciated the concept behind Ti Series Ultra Magnus and what they were trying to achieve with that toy. Now we're seeing the same core concept being revisited, but with Masterpiece level engineering. :)
The main downside's going to be the price. I've been on the fence about which version I was going to get, but if Hasbro's MPs are going along this trend of costing even more than TakTOM's already expensive prices, then I might as well just pre-order the TakTOM version. It still won't be cheap, but it'll probably be the cheapest we can get now that Hasbro's losing their price advantage (which is a shame).

O if Hasbro's MPs are going along this trend of costing even more than TakTOM's already expensive prices,
One release is a trend?
I certainly wouldn't pay $100 for prowl or his other car brothers. One would hope that the lack of movement for them after the success of Soundwave and Optimus would make HB reassess their tactics before inflicting that upon customers again. Wouldn't surprise me if it's actually TRU bumping up that price somewhat significantly.

Hasui designed this. The guy has given me zero reason to doubt his choices so far. The way we view MPs now is solely due to this guy. If Magnus has bum kibble, until I have it in my hand to say otherwise I'm gonna say its because there was no other way. And besides, these are the first prototype pics. Remember the negative comments that were made about Wheeljack when his prototype was revealed? With colour shots most of those complaints have melted away.

I don't have a problem with the majority of MP figures, Hasui engineered or otherwise. I don't like Rodimus however, and that Magnus cab flap reminds me of Rodimus' folding transformation. I'll definitely be getting one, but I doubt color images will change my mind about the flap.

I'm not sure what their final preorder discount price will be (MP Wheeljack is discounted at 8% off whereas Bumblebee is 25% off), and shipping from Amazon JP would be cheaper... ah bugger it, preorder from Anime Export! ;) (I can always cancel it and preorder from Amazon if they offer a competitive discount + yummy bonus item... but I can live without the bonus content if it means paying less for the toy :p)
Anime Export will want payment upfront and canceling will be difficult.

Smokescreen was out on time and his release was December 14
Soundwave was December 15? but then got delayed to January and with Ultra Magnus being a new mold might have the same problem.
Whereas Smokescreen is a retool and most likely wouldn't have had the same issues.
Also Wheeljack is in August and Bumblebee November, so yeah I'm skeptical about them keeping UM's date but I preordered from AE just earlier today.

I use Eco many times even for expensive items. Note though, they are not liable if they lost the parcel. I am using parcel locker, so I have no issues. yet.
On the plus, you find that EMS is only 4 days faster at times.

I have preordered through Anime-Export, I'm planning on shipping my BB, Wheeljack and magnus all together, however I can see Magnus being a little delayed so I might not be able to.
I love your digibashing Paulbot, nice work, makes it a lot easier to look at.
I never had a Magnus as a kid, I only ever got the reissue and I was surprised how little the cab was involved in the final robot. In My mind Magnus was only ever a single entity.
When I was reading the Dreamwave comics years ago now, when magnus was gunned down and the "white prime" version of magnus rose from the rubble to finish the job, it blew my mind. I thought it was a brilliant take on the old toy design.
Having said that I don't care that this magnus doesn't appear to have a seperate cab robot mode. Whats more important to me is the overall transformation being interesting and both modes being of a high level of articulation and "representation".
I am stoked at the masterpiece releases due this year, if they manage to get them all out before 2015 they are going to have a big job topping it the following year. I'd go so far as to suggest it's nearly time for some MP Constructicons or something along those lines.

There is for "some" products, for example the madness of ordering a Macross YF-30 was jumped from 19800yen to 20200 yen.
Then again, they could have sale and get it cheaper.
I have NO issues using shipping without insurance. Yes, is all a risk, you weigh up how much you save and how much it cost you if something goes wrong.

with the last few MP figures, some/a lot of pre-orders have sold out with excess stock selling out in a matter of days once they arrive in store.
there are a few Japanese sites now, anime-export, amiami, robot kingdom that have quite competetive pre-order prices. so if you don't have a high interest savings account, or an offset homeloan, spending $130 now instead of $150 -$200 in December might be worth your while. Some places don't ask for money until they get stock (BBTS) but they tend to be more expensive.

I often use Amazon Japan.
Advantages:
+ Free shipping to anywhere in Japan.
+ Often offer discount prices for MPs with discount price guarantee (i.e. if you preorder before the discount price is advertised, they will still sell you the toy at the discounted price)
+ Sometimes include exclusive bonus content
Disadvantages:
+ They do not ship outside of Japan.
+ Discount rates are not consistent. I've experienced discounts as little as 8% to as much as 25%
I personally like using Amazon Japan, but as I said, the biggest discount I've had with an MP was 25% and Anime Export's discount rate is currently 35%. I've preordered with AE, but if Amazon Japan's discount price proves to be competitive, then I might go and preorder from Amazon JP and either attempt to cancel my AE preorder or just buy two toys and sell off the spare to a fellow Aussie collector. :)
P.S.: I just checked Amazon Japan, they have advertised their discount rate now -- 24% (14824JPY; AU$156), whereas Anime Export's price is 12600JPY (AU$133). There doesn't seem to be any exclusive bonus content announced, but IMHO the previous exclusive stuff haven't really been worth paying an extra premium for.

Liampope over on TFW posted this. It is his thinking on how the arm transforms. Pretty damn impressive if true. But we won't know until its in hand.
OK - wife back in UK, nowt to do, MP-22 OCD. I give you... the awesomeness of MP-22's arms! :)
http://i.imgur.com/gDJVgOY.jpg
If anyone hasn't sussed out the transformation yet, I think this is how it goes. On first glance with the blurry photos it looked like it all slides like G1, but in fact its totally different and way more clever - like an MP should be.
First this little flap can fold in - split and pin just visible on hi-res pics. Took me a while to work out why...
http://i.imgur.com/EZ9FSCF.jpg
Folding the big shoulder plate down G1 style reveals lots of hollow. It's all necessary but you cant see any of it in alt mode as it's underneath the deck, and it will all be hidden in bot mode. The end plate rotates out bringing the missile with it...
http://i.imgur.com/H6PVCOj.jpg
The end plate flips 180 then folds down onto the arm. Missile pivots round and mounts into the centre of the plate...
http://i.imgur.com/yrpCRLR.jpg
Now the cool bit. The arm rotates round 180 degrees round and inside itself...
http://i.imgur.com/pxoCrbs.jpg
You can see what that first little panel flipped in for now. With that out the way and both those inner and outer arm boxes hollow, there is tonnes of space for a big fat shoulder joint to live (represented by that big cylinder)! Wouldn't have been possible if this upper arm was a sliding transformation. This is very cool as it means there is hope for a nice shoulder joint that pulls out like MP-10 and has good articulation. Awesome design...
http://i.imgur.com/np8TsX1.jpg
Now the whole arm rotates back round to point the right way...
http://i.imgur.com/bZTytmR.jpg
The shoulder post end cap which was stowed on the side has a double pivot and folds 270 degrees onto the top of the post...
http://i.imgur.com/xJLgUVU.jpg
The forearm looks like it could still have just slid back, but looking at the central split and the pivots you can see up his sleeve in one pic, I think it must split and orbit round like this. This is just Hasui showing off :)...
http://i.imgur.com/1WsfEmw.jpg
I thought that was it till I realised how ridiculously far back the arms were and it didn't look like the pics. The arms must slide forwards!! If you look at some of the alt mode hi res pics carefully you can see the slider. It moves a good inch forwards...
http://i.imgur.com/6NmF250.jpg
Comparing my model arm in the forward position, it matches the pics OK. So I think that slide is a definite. Would have looked awful without it to be honest...
http://i.imgur.com/HVtLbFR.jpg
And one final feature - the missile can mount to the front of the end plate also with no partsforming...
http://i.imgur.com/Fi2ObND.jpg
Quick summary of cool stuff...
- Plenty of space made for a decent strong shoulder joint
- The arm slides forwards!
- The missile is a triple changer without partsforming!
- Hasui is a total genius
Totally awesome design - the guy is riding a wave. Can't wait to have this in my hands. Can't believe how long we have to wait :(

Right now Amazon's price has dropped again 13,334Y, tho my order was placed at 14,824Y and for some reason it's still showing that price, despite the preorder price guarantee i've spoken of in the past. I think i might have just caught it before the change trickles down to my account, but will be keeping an eye on it just in case!
Either way, damn happy with the price... was expecting way more considering how overpriced MP10 was!
Edit: Yup, price for my order has dropped to 13,334Y now (1 day later). Weird that there's a delay between the product page and my order, but hey, at least it works :)

It won't necessarily be lower. While that has been the case in the past it looks to be ending with Hasbro's Prowl release. I'd say $150 is as low as it will get (not including sales).

There is, and is supposed to be at Myers, as according to Hasbro Australia they already distributed them to Myers back in Feb. We have not seen any sightings of it though, nor Myers have bothered replying to emails.

There is, and is supposed to be at Myers, as according to Hasbro Australia they already distributed them to Myers back in Feb. We have not seen any sightings of it though, nor Myers have bothered replying to emails.
But I hate the colors of YOTH MP-10 anyway.
I do prefer the original colours
guess i just dig the clear trailer lol
or otherwise, just have to wait and see if taktom will reissue the mp10
actually just saw this...

That's the one that should be in Myer within the month. They were originally planning to have it out in March, but then pushed it back to May to capitalise on the movie interest.

That's a decent price for YOTH Optimus at Myer, given TRU USA is selling theirs for the same price but in US dollars.
And sorry about continuing on the discussion in this thread. Would appreciate it if a Mod/Admin can move the post to the Myer YOTH Optimus thread.

I pre-ordered Magnus as soon as I could at Anime-Export, and every new pic that's turning up is making that look like a better and better decision.
I'm loving the look of this. Clear windows in the chest is a very interesting element.

The transluscent windows should be dark pinkish as seen in TFTM when he opens up his Matrix Chamber, or a solid red like his torso in the cartoon

This guy is going to be incredibly popular, the teaser images being gradually released just make the collector anticipation that much greater. I really hope that TRU order a decent number of this figure, otherwise I fear we will have another MP Soundwave epidemic on our hands...

The cab is just a shell that folds up onto his back. The whole thing turns into the robot which is simply awesome!
Oh and even better, the cab detaches from the trailer! They've thought of everything!!

They've got 2 or 3 repaints that they could do off the top of my would be the all blue, all yellow, and early movie colours. But they all seem kinda obscure to most, so I'd put my money on another black repaint :p

It really is a great price, I wanted to order Bumblebee too but Anime-Export have sold through on him and I don't want to double up on shipping. Ordered them both with Nippon Yasan which is slightly more expensive but still less than $190 for the pair.

Just read FAQ... looks like upfront. 7 months is a long time to wait for something!!

Try other stores like HLJ etc if you're not comfortable prepaying.
You're forking out a bit extra, but they charge you when it is in stock
They'll pump out a million of these suckers, so finding one in 7 months time shouldn't be an issue anyway. Then there will be the inevitable second production run

Also user Deruji (http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-news-rumors/982723-masterpiece-ultra-magnus-prototype-331.html#post11048732) on TFW has translated an interview from the same book that divulges both Hasui and Kobayashi worked on UM, and their troubles developing it.
Kobayashi: MP-03 Starscream became the preparation for deciding Rodimus' size, but also due to there being Masterpiece King Ex-Kaiser.
We considered his great transformation and that he was smaller than MP1 and thought it was a good balance to have that kind of size. So those after Rodimus should inherit that basic size feeling.
Hasui: Because we planned on including MP10's trailer, we were aware of the question of what kind of car robot size should be able to go in. Because it's Convoy after all, there should exist some car robots with that size.
Q: It was thought that the way to go for the formal license for Lambor should be like Binaltech.
Kobayashi: Binaltech transforms from real cars but the actual way of thinking was different.
Hasui: The differences of their approach came not just from our ideas but also through the differences in our environment and the period of time we were in. Until I made the 2007 movie figures, no real car transformers were being made. (can't read the last part with about Binaltech)
Q: Speaking of that, how was it with Bumble's car mode? Up to that point it was thought that he was a character that didn't get along with that kind of logic.
Hasui: I had wanted to do the deformed version but it might have complicated the negotiations with the licensor. It's a robot that transforms itself into a "Wagen", not having it be a "Volkswagen" was unknown territory. We didn't know if he would be accepted if he were deformed or not. It was a possibillity of losing that long awaited chance. So it became an achievement to make a robot that transforms from a delicate "Wagen".
Q: Because of that, the scale of the car mode was adjusted, right?
Hasui: Because of this next task, the team was really divided into two opinions. There was also the opinion that because it's a real car, it should scale with Lambor and the others. But I thought that because it's Bumble "If he is not small, then it is not Bumble". Because the smaller size wouldn't change the amount of parts, it was decided to keep him small
Q: About the Masterpiece that succeeds those - The hoped for Ultra Magnus
Kobayashi: It came to be that I took over mid-way, because Hasui couldn't make a figure that turned into an internal MP-10. (Note: Not clear if Hasui's ability is meant or the opportunity, you have to read the rest of the interview to understand this part better)
Hasui: Beyond continuing car robots, I thought there was another goal. Magnus and the car robots had a similar relation as Soundwave and the Cassettetrons. That's why I thought that Magnus should be able to hold up to 4 cars. That's why I handed it over.
Kobayashi: Upon taking over, I examined if it should be a transformation like the animation or with an internal MP-10. I thought about the value it would have if it were like the toy version, it would have been enjoyable with an internal toy. But that was only half of it, Magnus had the misfortune of not having a toy with the animation transformation. And there were fans that liked the animation Magnus with an all-in-one transformation. No matter how we thought, there were two versions.
Hasui: For myself, I imagined both. That there would be armor but that the trailer would have a one-piece transformation, that it could change into all. I had that idea, but there were several cost factors and the ease of transformation to consider, so we settled for the current figure.
Kobayashi: The last decisive blow was to keep the costs low. Our idea was to keep the costs low, so that more people could have the figure.
Q: How do you feel about the Masterpieces from now on?
Hasui: From my current standpoint, the Cybertron side has a considerable army and I would like to increase the Destron side.

I'm not a fan either and agree it'd be easily fixable, which makes me think it's been left like that on purpose. Magnus in the cartoon does have a blue butt piece that is taller than his 'belt', so maybe they just thought 'that'll do!'.
If it doesn't fold up some more, i just hope it's not on a loose hinge. It's pretty much a given that he'll be a bit difficult to handle anyway, with his size and thick kibble-esque pieces everywhere.
I'm most worried about the shin pieces (trailer ramp) that leave a gap from his actual leg. If they're unable to be pushed back flush against his leg, it might be at risk of breakage if you pick him up from the legs.

Although the MP cars have been fine, I am still a bit suspicious of the quality of the larger MPs. I am fearing a repeat of MP Rodimus in which we get an unrefined beta like final version with many flaws or odd decisions that they never got around to fixing.
The butt kibble thing, reminds me of that lack of refinement/lazy engineering.

i think the butt flap can be positioned 90̊ up but that's probably not much of an improvement
