Platinum Edition Optimus & Grimlock

A 2-pack of voyagers with chromed bits is coming (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/transformers-movie-toys-products-30/transformers-4-age-of-extinction-platinum-edition-voyager-optimus-prime-and-grimlock-official-images-179640/), with Optimus and Grimlock from the first wave of regular release Voyagers.

It is boxed similar to the First Edition Optimus, and is labelled as "Platinum Edition"... which is likely to be the set that I found in the Myer computer.

It looks like the TF4 toys are going to be numbered as well, with Optimus noted as be M4 001 and Grimlock has either 002 or 032 (I can't make it out clearly).

I am actually hating the chrome parts on prime. Grimlock feels to be the hero toy here.

Not bad. I can see what they were trying to do with the chrome on Prime.
Seeing as their numbers are MVXXX, is this set also #15/30 of the Thrilling 30?

I was hoping this meant there was going to be less brown in the Grimlock figure :(

I want to sit down with the person who decides the paint scheme, point at each chrome area one by one and ask "Why here?"

What considerations go into the choosing? Should i like how it looks?

Yeah I carried it around target while getting other things and in the end I put it back, I couldn't justify paying $79 for it, then saw it at tru for $129 and laughed my arse off
