Looks like they are creating Autobot and Decepticon clones,
based on Cloudraker/Fastlane and Pounce/Wingspan.
Werent the original G1 toys smaller than the 86 Autobot cars? I dont like how it will potentially be the same height as the Masterpiece cars. I imagine they should be the same height as a deluxe classic bumblebee or scout sized Wingcharger

FINALLY the Indy Transforming Robot scene is starting to diversify! :D
These could turn out to be rather cool if executed well, thanks for letting us know Autobreadticon ;) - I look forward to seeing how these Clones turn out. :)

Those exposed hip joints don't look so good.

But... it's not Predaking... or any other combiner...
:p

I wonder if that's an assembly error? It looks like you should be able to switch the thighs around

They are not the type of characters that would be first choice for an MP shelf.

Give 'em time... :p:D

Would have to agree there, I'd prefer the Clones to be slightly more substantive than their G1 counterparts myself. ;)

Why does it feel like 3rd parties are giving their toys growth hormones, Gigapower Snarl is taller than Masterpiece Grimlock and MP-10. there are a number of other examples as well

The problem is MP08 (Grimlock) is undersized when scaled against all Masterpieces from MP10 Optimus Prime to present. In the G1 cartoon, Prime only came up to Grimlock's chin. In the Masterpiece toys it's the other way around with Grimlock only coming up to Prime's chin in robot mode.
The Dinobots should be massive and these 3rd party Masterpiece Dinobots are looking to reflect that.

Those legs do seem a bit bigger than I'd expect, but its hard to judge overall size without a torso. Still even if they were a similar height to MP Sideswipe that would put them on the small Voyager scale.
Seems like 3rd partys are using old Hasbro scale when deluxe's were bigger, while Hasbro deluxe toys are shrinking.

Updated pics of the Gemini prototypes. (http://tf-prototype.com/blog/2014/05/04/x2toys-xt005-project-gemini/)
Looks like those exposed ball joints in the hips are here to stay.
And that really bizarre/interesting inclusion of the Voltron red lion.

BBTS Pre-orders are up - $109.95 for the set (http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=XT10005&mode=retail&utm_source=Marketing&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Marketing&utm_content=).
They look pretty good. I wish we got a better quality pic of the headsculpt. $110 for a pair of third party Deluxe to Voyager sized toys (plus that odd Voltron-like Targetmaster?) seems like pretty good value.
Have not bought any of their previous releases before, so will need better reviews before I bite.

Just received an email for pre-orders from both BBTS and TFSource. There are some updated pics of the duo.
The additional lion bot does looks very Voltron lion hehe

Really not convinced, I like the concept, they need to give us some front/side on views comparing the two. if their silhouette in robot mode is nearly identical I'll be more impressed.
not a fan of the exposed ball joints in the legs. surely they could be turned around?

But then the legs could only bend backwards at the hip.
