I skipped the original release due to fears of the translucent plastic used for joints (although there doesn't seem to be many actual reports of the translucent plastic failing over time). Keen to see what they've done with this.

Rumours going around that the black Hegemon was a miscommunication and was, in fact, a prototype for a revised Hegemon to address the problems with the old mold. But it seems the new one doesn't come with the sword or the extended barrel.

That is much better news than a new black version. So they've got a new updated/revised mace weapon. Also, apparently there's going to be a new headsculpt. Perhaps with this second edition they're going for more cartoon accuracy.

Is this confirmed? :confused: I don't want to purchase the two thinking they are different colour decos and end up with two of the same. :rolleyes:

Who/Where are you preordering from? I thought most online vendors had already removed/corrected details of the Black Hegemon preorder.
