My MP soundwave issues

Hey guys,

Just received my toys r us Soundwave.

I have to say this is the first masterpiece I've got that ive been disappointed with. The decepticon logo on his chest is smudged, his left leg doesn't quite transform flat and the Rumble cassette had 1 leg longer than the other so he can barely stand up.

I'm wondering if what I am seeing is common, or whether this is the quality difference between hasbro and takara pieces or whether I've just had bad luck?

my soundwave had no quality issues, the only thing i can remember is that kup had a broken (or broke) his laserbeak, but that was with the takara version of that.

I have stress marks on one of the hinges on my tape door - I have the TakTOM version, and I've noticed someone else's Hasbro version had the same issue. Oh, and my Rumble came w/ two of the same side piledriver arm, but TakaraTOMY fixed that up for me. :) Other than that, no issues. :cool:

You could always contact their Head Office 9794 8999 & see if they can organise a refund/ partial refund for damaged goods.
You could also ask to see if any store has one floating around, but i don't fancy your chances with that unfortunately

My laserbeak had a broken tailfin bit... I bought another soundwave with lazerbeak off someone on the board as a spare, so now i have a unbroken laserbeak... I did notice some minor wear marks on the eject button off that one i bought... My original soundwave has no issues... i also heard from akky82 that his laserbeak has a broken head... Him and I both had issues with that particular cassette character.. None with soundwave himself

Takara Soundwave, Cassettes and Soundblaster for me. Only have a minor paint issue on SB's purple chest plate.

I bought one of the last of the Hasbro ones locally. No probs at all. BUT my Grimlock has issues with chipped chrome parts and stuff.

I think it's the luck of the draw kinda thing.

I bought the Taktom versions - no issues with Soundwave, it's Frenzy I have an issue with the face silver paintjob - he has a scar so to speak. other than that everything else is ok.

Rumble cassette had 1 leg longer than the other so he can barely stand up.

Mine also has this issue, but I find if I place him on certain angles he's fine :D Soundwave himself though has no issues, nor do the other cassettes.
