I think that's why they included Spike w/ transforming Exo-suit to justify the MP car price point on a smaller figure. Still... we all know that TakTOM MPs are overpriced. Discounted pre-orders FTW! :o

Very nice.
And an idea of the transformation as well.

Spike is bigger than I thought, but good for the value of the complete set. He's just going to be too big in scale to the other MP robots though.

Well, if he's like previous MP cars, then he'll be able to attach his weapon on the vehicle mode as an "attack mode", but he won't be able to stow the weapon away. :o

With a Firepower ranking of 1, it wouldn't make much difference where the gun ended up ;) :p

I just love how 'toon accurate' these mps are. It's like they have been ripped out of the tiny tvs from the 80s ;) the fact that they also transform amazes me. They cheated a heck of a lot in the cartoon when it came to robot and alt modes in the cartoon. I'm so happy with how these are all turning out

That pic of optimus and bumblebee nearly made me weep...

Although he's a very small MP, and rightly so to accurately scale with the other characters, the inclusion of the Spike in his transformable exosuit means this is a definite must for the MP shelf.

Given that we have seen TigerTrack/G2 Sideswipe and (maybe/maybe not) Diaclone Bluestreak/Streak there is a really good chance that we could see either one of those above characters we could also even see a red BB.

I never had a problem with repaints/retools same as Seekers. The problem is the movie Bumblebee toys are excessive.

Added the fact that G1 is best lol. But MP Bee mold repaints? I can live with that. Considering a number of us have the various Sideswipe mold releases and Seeker releases, myself included. But the key difference is these are different characters instead of just different versions of the same Bee.

But I still do see the funny side Gok is pointing at :p

Slightly OT, but it has always struck me as curious why HTT hasn't made more use of alternate heads with their 'bee molds, and regularly sold versions of Hubcap/Bumper/Glyph/Bug-Bite etc. They could even market them as 'X disguise Bumblebee' if they really wanted to do the Bumblebee thing - they'd probably still sell at least as well as "Brushing-His-Teeth" Bumblebee repaint #7 with 'new' Colgate Cannon (itself a repaint of the Life Is Pain Pulse Blaster from the "Angsty Emo" black Optimus repaint 2 waves back).

Har! Very nice :D

I don't mind repaints/retools if they're done thoughtfully, as in the case of Seekers, Autobot Nissans etc. -- but as we all know, there have been a lot of redecos which appear to be rather random, and Bumblebee is notorious for being randomly/meaninglessly redecoed. ;)

Odie: I wish this was done for Classicsverse! I really disliked that phase that Hasbro went through when they would repaint Bumblebee red and call it Cliffjumper (which was annoying considering that G1 Bumblebee (and Cliffjumper) were both available in red and yellow; a red Bumblebee was still Bumblebee!). I'm personally glad that Hasbro's moved away from this now -- giving us a retooled head for Animated Cliffjumper, but I was especially impressed that Transformers Prime Cliffjumper was an entirely different design. Yes! :D

As far as MP Bumblebee is concerned, the only redeco potential would be for Bug Bite, Glyph and Volks. Cliffjumper and Hubcap (and Carrera) are Porsche (http://digitaldtour.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/monterey-historics_porsche-_laguna-seca_72c_aug-82.jpg) 924 (http://srv2.betterparts.org/images/porsche-924-15.jpg)s (http://oldcarjunkie.files.wordpress.com/2011/07/porsche-924-2.jpeg), and would require far more extensive retooling than just a variant head. :o Likewise Bumblejumper (and Optimus Sedan & Robocar Sedan) are Mazda (http://www.curbsideclassic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/mazda-GLC-77-glc.jpg) 323 (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/19/Mazda_323_Hatchback_1982.jpg)s (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f3/Mazda_323_Registered_August_1983_1296cc.jpg)

He sure does. He currently does a 14.8 second 1/4 mile, and will be going faster when i rebuild the motor in a few months.

It's fun to pull up next to a P-plater at a set of lights in their tricked up Supra or their dad's BMW, and then watch them try and play catch-up, but there's other beetles out there faster. I haven't done too much to it yet, as it's still running a 50 year old brakes, stock 4 gear transmission and no real safety equipment. When the wife gets a bigger car the plan is to keep her old car for me, and take Bumblebee off the road, strip him out, fit a rollcage, bigger motor, gearbox, etc and use as a drag racer. Can't wait.

How big a motor can you fit in them without modifying the hood? And what time are you aiming for? 12 seconds would be decent.

Sorry to go off topic again, but you can fit a Subaru WRX motor in them, but i'm keeping mine 100% VW. 2442cc is usually the biggest you can go on a Type 1 motor, while Type 4 motors can go as big as 3000cc, but parts are more expensive. 12 seconds would be great in a street bug, but safety is an issue when your travelling that fast in something the size of a kids cubby house. Once i convert to a drag car then i'd aim for 10 seconds.

I hit just under 140km/h by the end of the 1/4 mile and the car was shaking. 140km/h in a Beetle feels very different to 140km/h in a V8. I have a mate who's Beetle went 10 sec 1/4 mile with nitrous, and his new drag car, based on the new style Beetle, goes 8.12 and he still hasn't boosted the turbo all the way. Here' his old car doing 6.7 sec 1/8 mile (for those interested). http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YzjSdolMcbY
