Maketoys like FP produce one of the best 3P Transformers interpretations...
their attention to detail differentiates their products from the other 3P.
I'm looking forward to this... although in saying that, my wallet won't! :p

Hehe! - You're not wrong! :p

Well, I'll be doing my best to grab this mob when they occur :D - Love Defensor and MakeToys & FansProject execute my preferred aesthetic of design and engineering; Computron, Scorponok, Defensor... Bring 'em on lads!

Not so much that YOU did something wrong, dude, it's just that in order for someone to view what you linked to one has to be logged-in to Facebook - As someone who doesn't use Facebook, I'd never of been able to see what you linked to. ;):D

So, no harm - no foul.

anyway, I hope the limbs are made interchangeable and I'd be interested in seeing if they'll attempt Gaia+God Guardian.

Cool news, I was getting kinda tempted by TFC's Groove, but I'd rather go with Maketoys based on the strength of Giant (still currently my favourite 3rd party combiner). However I do wish someone would try their hand at Abominus or Piranhacon.

Yes please!

The bad thing about Guardia is he probably won't be here to next August given we saw initial pics of Computron last July and aren't getting him to this August :(

And that's optimistic at best, given Computron was announced yonks ago before that. :)

While TFC may not make the best 3P combiners on the market I have to admire their ability to churn them out quickly, also Unique Toys in that regard.

The eventual Seacons, Terrorcons & Monstructor will be worth the wait I reckon, if MakeToys and FansProject's previous efforts are any indicator ;) - That wait IS painful however. :o

Awesome. I agree Maketoys and FP make the best combiners.
I will be getting this Defensor as I would only get the TFC one if there was no other alternative. Makes me wonder whether I should get Uranos or will Maketoys or FP make a version? We need another Bruticus as well I reckon.

With Bruticus, I really hope the masterpiece line beats any more 3rd parties to the punch. There are enough 3rd party combiners out now, to really push an official release. They, the designers of the masterpiece line have mentioned in an interview of a desire to do more decepticons. So I'll be happy to wait.

I'd very much like to see TakaraTomy offer a "Masterpiece" Bruticus although I wonder if people would prefer it to be scaled to Classics figure or the Masterpiece figures? - This is derailing the topic of this thread, but an MP-scaled Bruticus would be incredibly large to say the least.

It would be slightly bigger than MMC and TFC combiners. I held up MP Red Alert as that would be my preferred alt mode for him and its a bit longer than Tantrum/Headstrong.

More Guardia pics from TFCon I found on NTF-Archive.de (http://www.ntf-archive.de/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=12183) It's mostly Quantron pics but I found the Guardia stuff quite interesting.

If they ever figure out how to produce the ir own official version of the conehead seekers using the old mould of MP 11 then they'd have more seekers already - 3 of em. in fact with just a small retool for each. Which I'll be all over POing...:D:D

Not really feeling it but can't quite pinpoint why. Changing Streetwise's alt mode into a muscle car (while the rest still seem faithful) bothers me but it can't be just that.

I felt that too with Streetwise. Saw First Aid and was a lot happier.

Streetwise seems to look a lot like TFC's version and that really makes it less appealing. The foot mode also looks awkward.

If you're talking about the car hood flopping out I think its a G1 tribute thing. I actually wouldn't have minded if they turned it upside down, but once again the muscle car grille just wouldn't look right as the 'toes'.

I have to say though, the CG mockup of Groove as a leg looks sweet. I find Groove's bot and alt modes reminding me more of Cybertron Lugnutz though (whom I think was roughly inspired off Groove anyway). Colours may change all this :)

I just don't like him being bent in half for foot mode.

i don't mind it for groove as i feel he's supposed to be that way. but i prefer streetwise and in cases where first aid is also a leg, unbent. much like breakdown and wildrider for menasor.

First 2 are up for preorder. These are coming as individual robots this time. I guess Maketoys realised people don't have $500 to drop all at once.
I'm pumped!
