To be fair, I don't "get" the whole sushi appeal, but they're kind of cute, especially the sushi roll. And maybe this thread should be moved out of third party, as it's a TakaraTomy product. I'm thinking more of an Autobot vibe though than Decepticon

They remind me of the McDonalds transformers back in the 90's and at 850yen a pop I'd be all over them :D

yeah i was surprised to see this here.
they're not related to Transformers other than a simple transforming gimmick but thats not unique to Transformers, plenty of other robots transform.

The description says it features a "rochambeau play system".
I thought that word meant a nut-kicking contest (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=rochambeau) to settle a dispute. Am I missing something in translation, or does sushi come with fish testicles and junk?

Scissors, paper, rock is also known as rochambeau
I'd say there's some randomness to a pop-out feature that may be a part of it's gimmick
