I found a competition on a packet of Doritos today, so had a look at it and it told me to go to a particular website (http://www.doritospromotions.com/) to enter.
The website isn't active yet, as it says that the competition starts on the 23rd of June, but when it does, it will have a major prize and daily prizes.
Major prize - return trip to LA for 2 people, with 5 nights accommodation, 10 laps in a "luxury" super-car, and fly a combat/fighter jet. Worth AU$14,000. Entries must be in before 2nd September for the main draw.
Daily prize - Transformers cooler, worth $115. Drawn from 24th June to 2nd September of the previous day's entries only.
Entry is through the website after purchasing a participating product (perhaps with the barcode), with 1 entry per pack... maximum 3 entries per household per day.
I don't see any unique markings inside or outside the pack, so it may well be possible to enter multiple times from the one pack, within the daily limits.
The competition appears to be open to Australia and New Zealand.
Since we have the jump on this, I would hope to see a number of the early daily draws go to members here before too many of the general public start entering... like we did with that Target DOTM competition that had those toy prize packs.

Hey, I won one of those Target DotM toy prize packs :) unfortunately I'd already bought all but one of the figs previously, rest of the prize pack wasn't great :(.
Anybody want to swap my MISB DotM Leader Ironhide for a Movie 2010 Leader Starscream?

I just entered it right now and didn't have a problem... so maybe there were a few bugs on the day it went live.
The Ts&Cs are now more clearly set out now that the main page is active.
Chances are, you might be able to get away with just buying a single pack of Doritos and enter 3 times per day, every day, with it... but to be on the safe side, I wouldn't recommend it.
Multiple entries are permitted, subject to (a) only one (1) entry permitted per Eligible Product purchased; (b) a maximum of three (3) entries will be accepted per residential address per day; (c) a maximum of one (1) entry will be accepted per pack purchased (d) each entry must be submitted separately and in accordance with entry requirements; and (e) unrecognised Barcode numbers will be deemed invalid. Any entry that is lodged by automatic, repetitive, robotic, programmed or similar entry methods or agents, including but not limited to the use of a competition entry service, will be void..
Entrants must retain their eligible participating pack(s) (photocopy of promotional pack is not acceptable) (“Promotional Materials”) as proof of purchase for all entries. Failure to provide the Promotional Materials when requested may, in the absolute discretion of the Promoter, render all of an entrant’s entries invalid and forfeit their right to any prize.
So... just in case you win the major prize, or even a daily prize, the promoter may ask for proof of all your entries (in their database under your name), and if you have less packs on hand than entries (in other words, if you used a pack for more than one entry), you are likely to be disqualified.
That last competition from Target didn't ask for proof of purchase with the daily prizes, but you never know.
(besides, I wouldn't be setting a good example if I was encouraging ways to cheat at something)
You do NOT have to provide proof of purchase though... so if you are keen but cheap (or don't like Doritos), find discarded packs in the trash. Since the eligible packs only have to be of the sizes listed on the website, it doesn't look like you need packs with the Transformers competition featured on it.
Eligible Products consist of the Promoters’ products in the varying sizes listed below:
Australia:
• 175g – Doritos Cheese Supreme, Doritos Nacho Cheese, Doritos Original, Doritos Mexicana
• 90g – Doritos Cheese Supreme
• 150g – Doritos Jacked Cheesy Enchilada, Doritos Jacked Buffalo Wings
• 80g – Doritos Jacked Cheesy Enchilada
New Zealand:
• 175g – Doritos Cheese Supreme, Doritos Nacho Cheese, Doritos Original
• 150g – Doritos Jacked Cheesy Enchilada, Doritos Jacked Buffalo Wings
It does NOT ask for "specially marked packs", so since the "Promoter" is The Smith’s Snackfood Company Limited, it shouldn't need to be a Transformers-themed pack... as there is no 3rd party promoter that would require their packs be bought.

I only entered this as it's a new competition which a lot of people won't know exists yet so I have a better chance of winning something in the short term.:D
Oh, and 'competition' is spelt wrong in the heading.;)

This week at Woolies, Doritos are less than half price, at $1.50 each... so a good time to buy up a few packs to put away (the current batch don't "expire" until November) and enter the competition.
Just keep it to 3 per day, and one entry per pack... and keep all your packs until the competition ends, in case you win the big prize and they need proof later of all your entries.

Did they email you or call you back?
I take it that no one here has won any of the daily prizes yet?
(not that a cooler is as exiting as a box full of toys like the last time we had a daily prize competition... so it doesn't sound like there are many people here entering)

Yippee I won a Transformers Cooler Box, Ice-Age of Extinction, think I'll call it Icepick... blah, that's enough of that...
I seem to do quite well with the competitions, won the PC Game & a Lenticular Poster for Movie 1, a Bluray copy of RotF (Movie only), and a Lenticular Transformers backpack, Activity Pack, Leader Ironhide and Deluxe Skids, Air Raid, Jolt & Ratchet for DotM.
So I entered five times and I got a call today from someone at Doritos confirming that I won a daily prize. You or a family member have to answer the phone in order to win, otherwise they call the next person. They then send you an email and you have to reply sending a photo of as many packs as you've made entries, in my case five packs, otherwise your entry becomes ineligible.
So if you've only got one to three packs and you've been using it/them to enter every day, be ready to run out to the store to buy as many packs as you've made entries, if you win on day 70, that's 70 packs if you entered each day of the competition, though I suspect they'd let it slide as long as you have more than 15 in shot, no-ones gonna waste their time trying to count seventy.
Guess I'll be having homemade TexMex Chilli-Beef 'n Beans once or twice in the next few weeks...

Still another month left on this competition, and after a couple weeks of full-price Doritos at both major grocery stores, they are on sale this week at both... for anyone still wanting to submit entries for that grand prize (or the daily prize of the cooler).
Coles - half price at $1.60 each.
Woolies - $2.50 (save about a $1).
Your odds might be better for the daily prize at this back end of the competition, if people have lost interest in entering after the hype of the movie ended.
(also, since the wording of the competition doesn't say that you need marked packs, if the stores start stocking regular packs soon, they should be still valid)

I've had an empty pack next to my computer for over 2 weeks now, I still haven't entered. :o

I went to Coles this afternoon to buy a couple more packs, and most had no Transformers on them... so the last couple weeks shouldn't have many people entering for the daily prizes, as the Transformers packs would be out of circulation by then.

My nearest Woolies has also started stocking bags that don't have the competition on it, so after this week of specials, it might be hard to find competition bags at the two major grocery stores.
Even though the T&Cs allow for any Doritos bag of the noted sizes and flavours (because they have the same barcode), they do also note that the Promoter's decision is final... so could be picky and reject anyone who didn't buy their product with the Transformers competition on it. (I didn't want to risk it, so bought up some competition packs this week... and will spend the next few months slowly eating through them... very slowly, because I'm not much of a fan of Doritos)

Well, I got the Cooler today, it has an Autobot logo tampographed on one side/table flap, the 'con one on the other and "Michael Bay's Transformers Age of Extinction on the Cooler's lid and they scrape off at the least pressure, the chairs are too feeble to take an adults weight (I'm not fat!) and the wheels with the short handle mean if you try to roll it it'll scrape the bottom edge on the ground. Other than that, great prize, needed a new cooler and I couldn't have gone to the US and even if I could, I've got no drivers license and where's the fun in being driven in a Super-Car?
I really hope someone from Ozformers gets the grand prize, but unless you need a cooler box, the daily's a not so great substitute.

If anyone else is having trouble accessing the main competition site (the link in the first post... which I can't seem to access today), it would appear that the Smiths Chips site has an alternate entry point (https://secure.smithspromo.com.au/doritos/Default.aspx) which is a mirror of the Doritos link.
Is Ark-Ivor still the only person here to have won a daily prize? There are 70 of them in this competition... and even if it isn't a toy prize (or anything too awesome), us dedicated fans should be winning most of this rare "free" Transformers stuff. :p

Are you still spacing them out over the rest of this month, which "should" have less entries from the public as the hype of the Movie has died off, and less stores have competition packs to remind people.
I still have a couple packs left to enter every so often, in these last two weeks.
(I only realised when I posted on the 6th, that the daily prize is only drawn from entries during a 22 hour period, not 24 hour - this is to avoid confusion or disputes between NZ and EAST timezones/dates in the Conditions... so for us in Eastern Australian states, any entry between 10pm and midnight will only be in the Major draw, not a daily draw. I'm sure some of my earlier entries were during that time too. :( )

If you've been sitting on some empty bags, there's only 5 and a bit days left people, and it is a maximum of 3 entries per day.
I've still been seeing some packs in the stores near me too if anyone was thinking about doing some last minute entries... as I'd like to see someone from here win the major prize.

I bought a few packs a month ago, kept the packets for a few weeks and then the wife threw them out because I never got around to entering the comp :p
I think after entering every TF competition I could find dating back to being a kid and colouring in countless pictures to try and win a Micromasters Countdown, the fact I've never won anything once has dented my enthusiasm.

If anyone here did win the Major prize or the last daily prize, they have to be notified in writing and by phone by tomorrow (within 2 days of the drawing, which was on the second of September). But I'd imagine that they would have done it on the day of the drawing.
I had another look at the competition site, and any unclaimed prizes will be drawn on December 2nd... three months time!
That's a long wait, when they know within two days if they have contacted a winner and given them a couple days to send a photo of their chip packets.
Having a read over the FAQ on the competition site, it says that purchase receipts are also needed, but that isn't in the T&Cs... but I think our only winner here mentioned that he only needed to send photo proof of the packs, not the receipts.
