The voice of Bluestreak, Cliffjumper, Dr. Arkeville and Teletraan I in G1 has passed away.

From Daughter Announces Casey Kasem’s Death: ‘We Are Heartbroken’ (http://fox17online.com/2014/06/15/daughter-announces-casey-kasems-death-we-are-heartbroken/#axzz34iguDMEE)

"Top 40 legend Casey Kasem died Sunday morning at age 82.

Kasem’s daughter Kerri posted a statement on her Facebook page announcing her father’s passing.

“Early this Father’s Day morning, our dad Casey Kasem passed away surrounded by family and friends,” the statement reads. “Even though we know he is in a better place and no longer suffering, we are heartbroken.”

Kasem was battling advanced Parkinson’s disease at the time of his death."

I remember him as the voice of America's Top 40 countdown show. His voice acting career was secondary to me.

That's a little more Gen1 lost (Bluestreak, Cliffjumper, Dr Archeville, Teletran 1).

It's been a bitter few months for him, with his family fighting over him - his children wanting to adhere to his wishes of not being kept on life-support, and his second wife wanting him kept alive by hiding him in another part of the country... ending up with a judge needing to rule in favour of his wishes, leading to the removal of the feeding tube 3 days ago.
Now the fighting over his estate begins... at least he wont see any of that.

Sad indeed. I only recently found out he was the voice of several TF characters when I joined this board.

I remember him at the host of America's Top 40 radio show.

:( R.I.P

For some reason I always remember when he is on the radio in Ghostbusters talking about how they caught a ghost in a night club.

How very sad :( As others have said, I remember him more for American Top 40 and the voice of Shaggy on Scooby Doo.

A big part of my childhood has been lost but his memory will forever live on. RIP.

Same here, B. I was only watching Ghostbusters last week or so.
Rest in peace, Casey.

Five months later, and the family feud continues... at the expense of Casey Kasem. :(

He's been dead for five months now, and he still hasn't been buried yet (http://www.forbes.com/sites/trialandheirs/2014/10/06/why-is-casey-kasem-still-not-buried-conflict-shows-importance-of-preplanning/). His current wife snuck his body out of the country a day before the restraining order was finally granted, and he is apparently sitting in a morgue in Norway, without being embalmed/preserved, so that the body can't be autopsied before it rots away, to prove that she caused his death from negligence.
(since it wasn't embalmed, his body has been rotting away for the last 5 months in a box somewhere in Norway)

Meanwhile, all his blood relatives are still fighting in America to have him brought back to be buried, to put to rest the whole tragic loss.

It is such a shame that his body is now being used as a pawn by his last wife like this, just to avoid being being held to account for her erratic behaviour that could have hastened his death.
Seeing some photos of the pair (http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/sites/default/files/custom/Embeds/zumaamericassix023617_html.jpg) when they were first married, really gives the "gold digger" impression, like the busty young blond that we often see hanging off some older rich men.

Hey, it takes two people spouting the words "I do"... Just sayin'... Tragic for his kids though, and a sad end to an incredible life.

Absolutely... I didn't mean to say it is all her fault, and we don't know who approached who first. She could be the one chasing money, or he could be the one chasing booty.
Either way, it doesn't seem to end well.

If her booty's as saggy as the rest of her, it wouldn't need much chasing!

Aaaarrggh.... cannot.... be.... unseen. Are we sure she didn't consume him and this whole Norway thing is just a ruse?
