The design is apparently in the final stages, although the head sculpt is not yet complete, and there will be some kind of options to alter the accuracy of the homage to cartoon, toy, or comic.

I wonder if Hasbro's Lambo licence is still current? If they could match the finish quality of the current MP toys then, this could be good.

Sunstreaker is the sort of MP character I CAN actually imagine Hasbro/ TakTom releasing, but if this company succeeds with this toy then perhaps they will make Trailbreaker and some of the truck Autobots, who are characters I see as being less likely to get official MP toys, given that their re-issues seemed to sell poorly in Japan.

I agree, but on the whole sports car Transformers seem to sell much better in Japan than their ute, and truck counterparts, so I'm not overly hopeful that TakTom will ever make Trailbreaker, Hoist, Skids, Brawn, Gears and Huffer in MP form.

I don't like it. Too boxy for classics, not cartoon-accurate enough for MP. Colour mockups make it look a bit better, but proportions and the headsculpt are off.

I'm not pleased by their choice of head sculpt, but it still looks pretty good to me. I doubt we will be seeing a Takara MP Sunstreaker any time soon. :(

Nah, not to that extent. Admittedly I miss spoke. What I meant was they look like the same car, but they transform into different robots, which I personally think is pretty baller to be able to engineer a completely new mold that does that.

I think they are including 4 faces and 4 heads so you can make your preferred mix.Check the first post on TFW. I'm on a phone.

Yeah the crotch and thighs being black would make it less noticeable (and better imo, but anyway). Holding off as long as i can for this, especially wanting to see coloured test shot or w/e... but I'll probably cave at release.

(At least its not as busy lookin as chigurh).

May I ask how much the shipping was roughly, since I don't purchase from the USA. Want to know if it's better than purchasing from RK or Chimungmung, since it's only 30-40 for a decent sized item.

Really, I didn't know that, I thought there may be some type of requirement that needed to met, since the setup looks almost the same as TFW2005. I just assumed that was the case.

The main mod was the shoulder mod. This allows for full extension.
I know that Omni is gonna make some shapeways part to bring back this lost atriculation among other things.
Other than that, I drilled holes in the rims, to give it that "realistic" look, and it does so much more for the look of the car mode than the generic filled holes.
theres also an easy mod for getting extra thigh rotation, by cutting the rear of the upper leg slightly, i haven't done it yet, since I'm quite happy with him how he is atm.

Yeah the wheel mod i will definitely do if i have the right bit for my pin vise, and now that I know how the piece they connect to on the feet/front can be popped on and off i can actually reattach them.
