Is it just me or does it feel like there are less movie figures out for AOE than the previous films? I feel like on release date for movies 1-3 we had at least heard about way more moulds being released from Hasbro. Maybe I'm remembering wrong...
Or it could be that the additional figures have been replaced by the Flip-changers, smash-changers, power-punch, sparkers, etc. All of the same few bots.

Yeah it seems like the movie line will be over soon. Really we just seem to be waiting on a handful of figures. I guess Hasbro learnt from their having to cancel half the line for DOTM.

Disappointed that we're not seeing more of the large Human Alliance figures. They were basically the only ones worth anything from the DotM line and I'd more or less kill at this point to see Lockdown at that scale and quality.

Collecting all of the current AoE Generations Decepticons was easy. :p

Forget Human Alliance, i want a Masterpiece Lockdown! All those glorious cars deserve MP treatment. Honestly I'm surprised they haven't done at least Bumblebee (the leader repaint doesn't count!)

I know. Seems almost counter intuitive from a sales perspective. Although I did read somewhere that kids prefer toys of heroes over villains, so maybe Hasbro isn't even bothering this time around.
I'm sure it's all based on past sales figures and such...

I reckon that's it. Though on the whole there does seem to be less. But take Grimlock for example - you can get him in legends, voyager, leader, flip changer, Constructbot etc - in previous movies there were only (with the exception of Prime and Bee) only 2 to 3 versions of most characters. Even Drift has a half dozen in this one! Give us a Brains! Or even a Ratchet and ******** even though all they did was snuff it.
Once I get Stinger (I presume he's gettin a toy) and Lockdown I'll already have every character from the flick that has a toy. Then when I get a Snarl and Slog I'm done with AOE. With ROTF I was drowning in figures

Revenge of the Fallen, was the peak of the movieverse toys (IMO). I couldn't get enough of those toys.
Stinger will just be another Bumblebee repaint, hopefully I am wrong.

The peak of the entire last three decades of the franchise for my money.
I doubt we'll see anything near the quality of releases from that time again.

(I assume it's ok to do spoilers here since a character death has already been discussed) I don't have a problem with that since in the film he was essentially a clone of 'Bee. Would be nice if he came with that claw gun that looks like it came from ROTF Megatron.

"Hey Optimus, remember this?" [while prodding Optimus in the chest with claw gun]

I hope we don't get a repaint of Bumblebee. The Pagani Huayra looks nothing like a Camero and the Huayra deserve it's own Deluxe Class toy.

Look at the hood panel lines in car mode and how the 99% of the car shell forms Bee's kibbley back pack.. http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?p=423662#post423662
Thats my guess anyway

Seems that way - wasn't there an announcement from Hasbro stating they wanted the toys to be more 'accessible' to younger kids or something? So this time, instead of a lot of 'non-screen' characters, we get the same characters in different iterations and at different price points.

Lockdown with Attinger makes great sense as a HA figure. Each of the three Autobot cars with one of the human protagonists would also have been good.
