View Full Version : How many trailers would you want on a Generations Motormaster

So, the theme for Transformers Generations in 2015 is combiners. With the popular opinion that we should have voyagers as the torso, the issue of creating Motormaster has gone through my mind. In his original cartoon appearance and the G1 toy, Motormaster has had two trailers, one of which becomes his legs and the other his torso. This was easier said than done, as some may not like the off proportions of the toy. The cartoon made this a lot easier, with most of his trailer just shrinking down to fit his robot body.

Considering the idea that we may get a voyager Motormaster next year, it is safe to assume it will try and emulate the look of the G1 cartoon. This may cause issues.

From this, would you prefer Motormaster have 1 trailer to make it easier, or have the two trailers for full GEEWUN accuracy?

Sorry about the above, didn't notice until I looked closely. Motormaster, in both his G1 cartoon look and G1 toy, was depicted with a (long) trailer. Subsequent motormaster toys for different lines have used a trailer-less Optimus Prime repaint.

If a Generations Motormaster was to be made, would you want it to have a trailer, or would just the cab be acceptable?

EDIT: For the poll, ignore the first option, just the last three will do. (cab w/ trailer, just cab or don't care)

He only has one trailer. The join marks are there for robot mode. The front three sets of wheels are for the cab; the last two are for the trailer. There is no trailer in between.

So it does. There was one cartoon image that showed one trailer tipped over, but it was probably an animation error...

I shall instead raise the question: "Do you want a Generations Motormaster to have a trailer or would just the cab be acceptable?"

I'd like enough bulk to avoid FoC Bruticus' problems.

As long as it IS a voyager and not a deluxe, I don't care if it has a trailer or not. I'm sure some 3rd party would make a trailer.;)

i think the error you're referring to may be from the episode'Masquerade' after Motormaster's head-on collision with Optimus.

It should be. Love that episode.

+1

A voyager Onslaught would have made the FOC Bruticus a much better figure rather than the lacklustre figure we have now.

Motormaster needs his trailer. It's part and parcel of the character imo and a trailer-less MM would look not right (http://tfwiki.net/wiki/The_Motor_Master)

Just one, that's his body, the feet is the cab part. well that's how it was in G1 and if they wanna emulate that in generations then he needs 1 trailer which basically everything (he's entire body almost) and the cab are his feet.

He's gotta have his trailer in some form or fashion, I think FunPub handled this really rather well with their Botcon exclusive - You'll see very few compliments ever come out of my mouth regarding FunPub, but credit where it's due - "The Stunticon Job" has been their best efforts to-date.
