I do not like the red chrome on boosters and weapons packs :( but otherwise its awesome :)

I can't wait to get this version of Jetfire.

I like the classics voyager version, but I have always thought that Jetfire deserved a leader class (non-movie) version.

The new Jetfire looks great, and definately a much closer resemblence to his G1 cartoon form. The first thing I noticed was how out of contrast the red chrome is. Like G1Optimal, I don't like it at all. It really would have been better to keep it as non-chromed IMHO.

That version of Jetfire is excellent. I would even do as far as to say i like it better than the original version. *gasp*

I know it is available TRU in the US. Do you think they will have an Australian release?

Will there be a bulk ordering situation like MP Ultra Magnus?
If its the second option, definitely count me in.

Absolutely love him!

I had always wanted the Classics version I just never got around to actually purchasing him :(

I'd love a local release but thats prob not going to happen...

Got Generations Jetfire last Wednesday from robotkingdom..
i can describe the feeling when i got him was like i was a child getting a cool transformer and hes awesome in robot mode :)

I think it is one of the reasons we all are still collecting into adulthood... the sheer joy and warm memories of our childhood.

He looks wonderful! I agree with the red chrome, it does look out of place. I have the original generations Jetfire and I have to say up until the comparison shot I was happy to stick with it, but the Leaderclass is such a beautiful rendition it's hard to pass up. Always liked the gentle giant.

And it's a really intuitive transformation. Complex enough to be fun, easy enough you won't be running for the instructions each time.

I was fortunate enough to open a minty fresh G1 Jetfire a few years ago, and it's very much the same experience. If you missed him the first time around, you have got to get Generations Jetfire

I pre-ordered mine, & received it Tuesday last week... Bit expensive... $55 usd & 24$ u.s.d. delivery.. Haven't played with it. Still MISB. Made in Vietnam though

It looks great. But it also looks very 'plane' (excuse the pun):D. Needs more red or black bits.

Pictures (small ones!) are up of Takara Jetfire..... and I think this might be the first Japanese release with less paint and chrome than a Hasbro one.

I'm more than happy with the one I've got, but did hope for a head remold to look more Skyfireish

If the pictures are true, the Takara version does have more paint apps on the chest and ankles. Meh, not gonna pay more and wait longer for a small difference. Mine will be displayed without any weapons or fast packs anyway.

Normally I love chrome, but the Hasbro version was just wrong.
So glad Takara have confirmed their release

Come on Takara Skids/Scoop and some of the other missing Generations toys. I want my metallic details

They have just released pics of the Henkai version. Usually I prefer the metallic versions as well but just don't like the look of this:

The gallery has the old Japanese version of the 2006 Classics Jetfire for comparison... showing the size and colours, and shiny parts similar to the 2014 Hasbro Jetfire.

Oh really? Whoops :o I guess I should have been able to tell by the english on the packaging

Now I see why people have had an issue with the way the Hasbro version has been done. The takara version does look better, and is only $7 more from hlj, though not sure if I can wait until December for him.

Yeah, that Seibertron gallery was odd at first, throwing in the Japanese name/toy in there, but then it kinda makes sense (comparing chromed versions of classic-verse Jetfire toys).

Well I'm glad you pointed it out Griffin - on the basis of that I just went and cancelled my Hasbro version with BBTS and ordered the Takara version with HLJ - I can afford an extra $7 and 3 months for the far better looking version :D
