Hi peeps, I came across some interesting tf stuff on amazon and I was wondering if anyone's had experience with the website. I've never used amazon myself - always been an eBay fan, so please bear with my newb-ishness

Q1. There is no amazon Australia, are we allowed to use it?
Q2. It's credit cards only, meaning no PayPal. What sort of protection as a buyer do I get?
Q3. Anything I should look out for in particular?

Cheers

1. Amazon Australia doesn't exist.
2. Credit cards only, Buyer protection is actually remarkably good and Amazon are very good to deal with. Watch out for slow postage though. Some things don't take long on the lowest available postage, but I did have some DVDs go missing once. But then Amazon were really helpful about it, sent out another lot which arrived, and then the originals arrived too! I asked if they wanted them sent back and they said give them to charity. SO I auctioned them and gave the money to charity!
3. Things to look out for.

Making sure things are Amazon Global Eligible, which is an option in the side bar, otherwise what you want can't be sent out. Sadly not everything can be posted outside of the US.
Postage. While buying from Amazon direct is great with cheap shipping, buying from the 'Marketplace' sellers is like buying from ebay with stupidly expensiv shipping. You'll know if your dealing with a marketplace seller as it'll say something like "fulfilled by ~" next to the buy button somewhere.

That's about it really. Amazon are pretty good to deal with. I say go for it!

I started using Amazon last year and I've found their service to be excellent. They have a 24/7 online customer service chat feature if you have any issues. But yeah, as far as credit card payments are concerned, you need to take that up w/ your bank if there's a dispute.

Bom-bom, people. There is an Amazon Australia, but it's limited to eBooks and Kindles. Which is just terrible, but there is one.

I just got off an online chat w/ an Amazon rep about how to report sales of KOs, and was advised to use this online report form (http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/reports). The order number field can be left blank.
