New printing of the original Generations guidebook

After many years of hoping another print would be done of this book, fans who have struggled to find one... or even one find one for under $100... will rejoice at hearing that more are on the way (http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-news/japanese-transformers-40/transformers-generations-deluxe-book-reprint-by-million-publishing-180784/).

But then again, it may not be enough copies to make it any easier to find one cheap, as it is only being released at the upcoming Japanese Transformers Expo in limited numbers... but after August keep an eye out for it to show up on ebay, as it should be a lot cheaper than $100.

I'm not sure, but them not letting you login is probably as good a sign as any :) It works for US/UK Amazon though.

I can't remember either... but if you try to log in with your US name and password and it doesn't work, then you probably do need different registrations for different Amazon sites.

I had to create a new account.

The pic on the Amazon listing shows the Deluxe edition cover. Do we know if it is the deluxe one being reprinted - as I wouldn't mind getting it if it is - although there's few extra toys in it.

But a backup copy of the first version wouldn't be bad either.

I had the same problem when i tried to use my existing login (which works with US/UK) I ended up creating a Jpn account with the same details and was able to order with that.

I also couldn't remember which version it was exactly, the issue I have from years ago has the same toys/cover ... except doesn't mention the words "deluxe" ... ditto on the don't mind if I have an extra copy too lol

I could't use my US account. I noticed when I made a JP account it ask for things that are not normal like how to pronounce your name. I'd guess Amazon US has no need for that sort of info so they keep the log ins separate. I wish everyone had a field for how to pronounce your name, I hate everyone butchering my family name.

There mustn't have been too many left after the JP Expo, as I didn't get mine shipped... and it was only the spares from the Expo that they were going to be able to sell. Maybe they should have waited until they had the books in hand before listing them, to know how many they would end up with.

They received a second batch (as mine was in it) but I'm wondering if they were advised they would get XXX copies and got shorted on it. Amazon on the whole (not specifically JP as I've only occasionally used it) is pretty good at selling what they are going to get. They don't seem to consistently over sell.

I got an email today to say that my order had shipped, but it has my PO Box address.... so is likely to be rejected like my last order, which will mean losing the book because you can't order it anymore. (and no one thinks to ask for another address, or look at my account to see a street address listed as well)

When I re-ordered the 2014 Generations book I changed my default address... but I didn't think that the existing pre-order would still remain as the POBox address. :(

After all this time, I get so close... :(

You can always change the delivery address on the order.... or could before it sent. Maybe if it rejects you can try that.

I got mine today. I was worried because it was being delivered to a PO Box, but it's got a AusPost eParcel sticker on it and came okay.

The "deluxe" version doesn't really have enough new content in it though to justify going out of the way in getting it if you already have the original version, but I basically bought this as a backup copy.

All those prototype concept drawings was what I really wanted when I first heard about them, and hated having to pay over $100 (back then) to get it after already having the first version... which is now VERY well worn. :)
But since those pages were not released/published anywhere else, it was worth the trouble to have them in my Transformers library.
