I really want these for pure novelty, and they do look pretty cool... but they're not doing a lot to convince me they're worth the price!

I think i prefer the Optimus now, Megatron's silver head is really clashing with the black body. They should have made him a black version!

Plus, there still doesn't seem to be any further confirmation that Megatron has a USB feature as HLJ's listing (http://www.hlj.com/product/tta81673/Act) says.

Judging by the usb looking slot in the cannon, it's possible. But we'll have to wait and see I guess.

I saw the delayed date on HLJ yesterday, I'm glad that gives me one less thing in September.

I don't remember my PSX having RCA jacks on the back. Must be a Japanese version difference.

All first release PS1's had jacks like that, a later revision introduced the single av jack :)

What have you got against the Japanese? If your talking about Takara Tomy they are doing a great job with their selection of JP exclusive figures. If your talking about Nintendo, Satoru Iwata their president is making bad business decisions in the field of video games but thats irrelevant to Transformers. He is however allowing the licensing of Nintendo properties to many different companies making some great toys like the S.H. Figuarts Mario.

Not a very good justification, I know. Actually, my friends mostly had N64s at the time.

We had nothing but Sonic games for the megadrive too, so I'm even more tempted to get both now. :/

Way expensive for its small size. But I'll preorder both. ;) Been getting Optimus & Megatron pairs of late. And these fit my collection pattern nicely.

Megatron's face sculpt bugs me a little. There's not enough menace in his expression.

Not overly impressed to be honest. The instructions are useless as they miss out significant steps. Did you pull the heel out from the toe area?

I only pulled mine out, transformed him, untransformed him and back in the box.....:o

Well, the legs are a bit fiddley, but essentially he's a shell former

That's disappointing to hear. But then again, almost all previous JP crossovers have been really bad shellformers or poor proportions in bot mode.
I want this more for the novelty than for the engineering or playability, but still disappointed to hear about flaws.

Yeah, that's pretty much why I bought him. The Sonic The Hedgehog Cartridge is pretty cool. As a SEGA fanboy, I am glad I got it, but will probably skip Playstation Prime.

Personally I think he is both top heavy in bot mode and the knees on down are poorly designed. I have to wonder how much if any input the Takara Tomy Transformers team had and how much was the ARTS arm of TT.

Theres just not enough friction in that ankle joint to hold up the figure. I think I'll display him as a Mega Drive.

Asshole move to announce that Genesis one days after the regular one releases (for people in the US who would care)

He does feel like he might have a bit of diecast in his chest because it is a bit heavy for plastic. Really no heft at all to the limbs and Fusion cannon, the chest is where all the weight is.

Definitely not worth buying again. Awaiting 3rd party Carts:D
