hey all,

I just bought something off ebay, and pretty much paid for it instantly, and now the ebay user is no longer registered, and I can't file a dispute because it was won recently. Do i just wait it out til I file a dispute or do i have to go another method?

cheers :)

That happened to me once, in my situation i had access to their email and communicated with the seller directly. They never told me the reason but they were registered again soon after and the sale went on smoothly. Good luck!

Me too. I paid and sweated for a week or two but then the parcel arrived. The seller in my case never became a registered user again though.

I believe eBay still covers you though. Well I hope so!

Sometimes its just either an administrative or technical glitch of ebay's system. I'd say wait for the seller to reply and email ebay after a week if nothing happens...

I think you're facing the same error that I (and probably everyone else) occasionally do. It's just that Firefox isn't as descriptive of the error as Safari is. Just keep refreshing, come back in five, or change to a different ebay domain (i.e. .com.au to .com)

I've encountered that a couple of times in the past as well.

The seller/s & I spoke directly through private email & everything was perfect! :)

Don't sweat it Mate... :)

more than likely he hasn't paid his seller fees

once he does you should be able to contact him

i say try to get his contact information now if you still can via ebay.
then see what you can do...
do you know where he's from?

Yep, it's often just a temporary problem with their Mastercard/PayPal - that's the reason I get most often when this occurs. Don't start sweating 'till a month has passed then start with the PayPal recovery process.

What all the guys said.... sometimes ebay does suspend a sellers account, happened to me once, although the seller contacted me via email back saying he's really frustrated as well that ebay suspended his account for reasons he is not clear off. but as far as memory serves me he/she got her account running again after a week. prolly the reason given by rampage. Just make sure to get in contact with ebay about this immediately so they know that the deregistered seller has something to answer to so that you can make a claim later - keep all email responses saved, printed if possible as they (ebay) will ask for it sometimes as proof. Cheers
