How did people find it last time? When do you put in the code? Are there any restrictions? Got my eye on something this time overseas.

Put the code in when you pay with PayPal.
Ensure that the payment is made prior to the offer's end time.
I made a mistake the last time and won all the auctions during the right time but paid for them a couple of minutes past the offer's end time.
Had to pay full price for that... thankfully it wasn't a lot.

That's up to AU$1500 spend... I think that will cover most people.

Someone from ebay sent an email through to us about the special... I guess we've had so much coverage of their past specials, we've hit their radar.

The main thing to look for is US items using the Global Shipping Program - which will block the discount.

Can't you search using ebay.com, watch list go to ebay.com.au, bring up the item purchase apply code?

I used it this way the last time but of course item was available internationally

drifand; when you buy using the Global Shipping Program, Paypal pays the shipping company (Pitney Bowes) separately from the seller.

And last time eBay ran a similar special, a few members here found the code wasn't valid for _that_ transaction. Something eBay doesn't really tell us. So yeah, the discounts just wont work since you're forced to pay for shipping during checkout.

Can't seem to combine the invoices as well to redeem the discount.
The site keeps hanging on me and making me sign-in repeatedly...
Ebay better honour its promo if it's the site's problem that buyers can't make payment within the stipulated period

Still have until midnight tonight, which is another 14 hours.

I spent about two hours yesterday in the early afternoon looking for stuff to buy, but didn't find much that I "needed". I ended up saving about AU$120.
(I searched ebay US, put them on my watch list, and then logged into ebay AUS to purchase anything that transferred across to that watch list to be sure to get the discount.)

I thought at first that the $100 limit was across the three transactions (maximum purchase would be AU$666), but when it accepted my third purchase that took me over that amount, looking at the fine print, it was $100 per transaction (making the maximum purchase being AU$2000).

I couldn't find anything else more expensive that I was comfortable paying for at 15% off... so am happy with what I got. (MP Sunstorm, JP Sixturbo reissue, 3 Gen1 combiners to have in combined mode next to the separate team members)

Sinnertwin

I had a good look around, but apart from United Stepper, there wasn't much that i really wanted. There were plenty of 'that'd be nice' listings, but nothing else that i could really justify dropping the extra $$$ on

RE invoice combining: are the items in different currencies? I tried paying for multiple items that I had in my shopping cart yesterday, but the system separated out one item that was in GBP (all the others were in AUD), and that one item was less than AUD50, so no discount.

I'm guessing that paying for multiple items at once only works if they're all in the same currency.

That's all true, but when ChlorHex was trying to check out, eBay was having a sitewide international freakout for a few hours (which would have sucked for sellers whose auctions ended during that period, since they didn't get the last-second inflation of snipers.) The crash is no doubt why the sale time has been extended, to ameliorate complaints.
