The difference between the chain on the box and the chain on the toy bugged me too when I opened my Oil Slick. The instructions show both ends of the barrel detaching too and the whole thing become this complicated snare, but the chain is not long enough to do it. :rolleyes:

I too was really dissapointed when the chain was not what was pictured. I don't have a problem with the plastic chain but it's length was only about 1/4 of the pictured length.
