Important! Please read the rules carefully before voting!

Rules

1. All participants must count their Transformers toys according to the Universal Counting Method (http://otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=217). Round your collection count and vote according to the poll options.
Online number rounder (http://www.webmath.com/k8round.html) <---set to place value to "hundreds."

2. Do not post any negative criticisms or complaints about this survey project or the counting methodology. The purpose of this thread is for people to count their TF collections according to the UCM, and not to debate/discuss the merits of the UCM unless you are seeking clarification on how to correctly count your toys according to the UCM.
If you do not wish to participate in this project, then hit the Back button of your web browser now.

3. This poll will "close" on 23/09/2014 11:00 EST. Although people will still be able to vote after that time, no further data will be collected.

The Polls
There are three polls. These are:
+ The Primary Poll (that's this one here) looking at collections from 100 or less to 1000 or more.
+ The "100 or Less" Secondary Poll (http://otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=19436). Only participants with 100 or less (UCM) Transformers in their collection are eligible to participate in this poll.
+ The "1000 or More" Secondary Poll (http://otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=19437). Only participants with 1000 or more (UCM) Transformers in their collection are eligible to participate in this poll.

Thank you for your ongoing cooperation and support!

Mine is just under 100 at the moment, though my POL, which is yet to ship, should bring it up at or maybe beyond 100.

Gok, where is the UCM from? Is it something you made up or did another person come up with it?

Anyway, mine is closest to 400 this time around. I'm not sure what I voted last time, hope it didn't go up too dramatically.

Click here (http://otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=217) and read post #1. It's all explained.
Short version: the UCM was created via a democratic process based on majority consensus. e.g. a people were asked if they think that doubles should count or not. I personally voted "No," but the majority of participants voted "Yes," and thus doubles count under the UCM. I personally don't agree with that rule, but it's what the majority elected. Once the rules were set, they were locked so that future results could be comparable. We cannot compare data if the rules around how the data was collated changes between years, thus in order for the survey project to work, the rules had to be locked. I was kinda like the AEC; I organised and ran the polls, but it was ultimately the voters who determined their results. Asking me why a certain rule in the UCM exists is like asking the AEC why Tony Abbott is Prime Minister - the answer is ultimately, "Because that's what the majority of voters chose." ;) Believe me, there are quite a few rules in the UCM that even I don't personally agree with... but it's what the majority elected for, and thus I abide by it regardless of my personal opinions.

IMPORTANT NOTE

1) This year's survey will CLOSE in 12 hours from now (i.e. 11:00 EST). After that, all poll data will be collected and no further votes will be included.

2) This year's survey will also be the LAST. I actually wanted to stop doing this after 2012, but I decided to run this one last time for the 30th anniversary. If anyone would like to participate in this survey but haven't already, you have 12 hours to make your vote count.

My heartfelt thanks to everyone who's supported and participated in this project from 2006 to now.

Anyway, that's a good 7-8 years** worth of work there, representing 6 years' worth of collected data. As I mentioned in my last post, this is the last time that I will be doing this, and again I would like to thank everyone who participated and supported this project. :)

*excluding 2013 where no polls were conducted
**although the polls were only conducted in 2007, 08, 09, 10, 11, 12 & 14, we did start start having the polls to determine the UCM in 2006, and discussion about this project began in 2005.
