RID Drift is so good, a reused concept but done so much more appealingly than AOE. Looking forward to the Warrior class figures.

Those are almost as cool as Lego, almost.

The photoshops make most of the figures look really bad. Luckily we have in-show pictures to show their real colours. I wish they'd have shown Leader Megatron there, I'd like to see what he ACTUALLY looks like.

Now if only the print and build quality matched the concept.

Only Huffer interests me as a concept... but the end result is very underwhelming.

Huffer works if you transform him backwards- swivvel the upper torso and head 180 degrees and you have a predominantly blue chest. Sure, the arm articulation is reduced, and the hands are backwards (you can pop the forearms out from the joint and reposition, it's partforming but eh), but it'd look much better I think.

That Thundercracker actually really works for me. I've always loved the EJ Su inspired not quite F-22 Raptor seekers that we saw around the start of the Transformers Ongoing arc. I really like how the fail fins and the wings layer in bot mode to give the look of the fragmented wings without eating into parts count.

That said the fake chest cockpit really really turns me off, and the null rays look a bit garbage so I may yet plump for one of the iGear ConAir things instead - though there the partsformy wings annoy me.

I am aware I talked myself into and out of buying two figures in the space of one post.
