I had hiccups with Amiami but got one at Anime Export.
I am happy to support this line and range, but I think Bandai will never complete the line like Arcadia or Yamato did.

What did surprises me was the price was affordable for its size.
When you compare this to bw Megatron, I feel a lot contented buying this.

1/48. I’m breaking my rule of “1/60 scale stuff only” as this will be a stand alone piece.

The ability to buy them rrp is so hard. I pray Bandai knows which one to release next to keep them going as a wrong choice will result in poorer demand.

This is such an easy milking cart for them as they are mostly repaints.
Fingers crossed they are good quality.

I posted my message between 4pm to 5pm JST, just as the AmiAmi and HLJ pre-orders went live. At the time, I entered 'VF-1D' into the search bar on the Nippon Yasan (NY) site but no results were found. The search results appeared to be blank. I could have mistyped it.

Wasn't doubting your reports on how long the pre-order was available at NY.

I've only ever used them once, usually I buy from HLJ. Haven't read much about NY to be honest, besides that they sometimes release orders in batches, with each one getting more $$$

Will check various retailers closer to the release date, not desperate for a VF-1S Roy but happy to get one at RRP to go with my VF-1J

I dont think I will understand Bandai Business model. Being Sold out means high demand, means you should open a second run. But it looks like is too hard basket and they think this current style of selling out at all retail stores is good for their look.
