Nice keyboard. What is it?

My 25A arrived today. Which possibly marks the end of the 25 Renewal era, unless they do the YF-25 Prophecy.

There are no Renewal products announced past the new year are there? The YF-29 Isamu is set for release on the 31st of December, and it's sure to have a Super Parts pack later, otherwise I think that's it for now.

it a G19 logitech keyboard :) It a very good keyboard but quiet expensive , but totally worth it if your a gamer .. i love the lcd display .. i customize it to show all the pc vital like temp and usages of CPU and GPU , weather and time

Thank god. This is expensive, and I think I might get the Isamu Yf-29 and call it quits, as I like that colour scheme most.

I don't like the Quarter, I have it for years now and I prefer my SDF-1.
The arms were quite hard to get it in place, I remember the fear of almost breaking it but it was that tight.

i think if the YF29 isamu sell well they going to release the ozma version ..

The scheme for the YF-30 is bound to be the hero Valk from the game. Other schemes are sure to follow.

Yeah those are the 1/72 Bandai kits. Reception to those on MW has been rather poor.

There was also news of a vinyl VF-1J. No price or pics yet.

There was a rumor on the Malaysian Macross forum that the Arcadia M&M are on the way. Nothing I've seen suggests/confirms it yet tho. Might have to investigate it further...

Nope, I have the game no eng sub.

Well if that doesn't come then you should get the tornado armor instead for the alto 25f ... also i seen a cheap alto armored pack as well if you still keen on getting that ...

My one didn't come with instruction and stand adapter :( , had to found the instruction on the net and thanks to drifand for the scan pages ... it was hard to get him back to fighter mode after the transformation ... cause it was hard to follow the instruction backward :p very solid figure ...

A custom VF171 sheryl :eek: you get to see it for a split sec before he get blasted away but the ghost in front of him ... that why i hate reading sub now you might miss things like this ...the last 2 epi are great action @!

yeah it was just a surprise that the decal was animated in a cannon folder which was on for one second and that was it for a series episode as well... Which is a cool surprise .... not like in the movie eg ..the VB6 from before they actually made a big deal /impact with the decal to sell a new version of the figure ..

I display some of the figure as i don't really have the room to display them all ... so i rotate the figure on display for me ...

yeah to didn't take any in battroid as i was mucking around with the stand customizing it to fit the three of them on there cause they balance each other out for stability ,
I got my 25a today...and also Yf19 bird of prey ...
I got to say a was disappointed with the y19 as there are gaps on it from not fitting together tightly ,my left wing keep popping out :( plus it was quiet loose ... i really like the colour scheme and found it for a cheap price brand new , that why i bought it . im a sucker for bargains ...lol

you should have stick with the new vf19. ;)

Honestly check some reviews. Graham from Macross world gives pretty much great reviews and not being bias. This is why I stay clear of Yamato's vf-19 but didn't mind a vf-21 or 22.

I almost actually just wanted the smaller scale vf-19 and vf-21 as display but the vf-22s blue max just has a great tone of blue.

I only bought the max as I only can afford one. For me, it was Max colours that really made it "I want".

The black/grey version is nice but does not light up my display case after all, I have mostly dull whites and grey fighter planes it was time for a blue one.

Is the vf-22 transformation easy? I just don't want to break anything like my vf-0s

it was gone pretty fast the black one.... the vf22 is hard to transform ...especially back into fighter again..the way they make the plane so flat is amazing ... look at the gaps of your bottom piece first to see how they line up so you remember it ok to leave that gap there after transformation back .... cause getting it line up again is a pain... the plastic is good but you still have to be careful like all yamato figures you might get stress marks along the tabs etc...

It looks great, but I suspect it would only really work under diffused lighting conditions - any hard shadows or reflections would make it look strange.

I can't wait to get the YF30...it looking good... ... i been customising a few dx figures lately...super parts for the VF171 ..painted the missile pack red to match the alto scheme as it was dark blue which i reckon didn't match the white and red scheme on the vf171ex at all , And also repainted the super parts for the yf29 from the 30th for my red alto , because i refuse to pay around $160 for the alto super parts !I left yellow strips in , to make it a little different but also link to the other yellow bit of the figure , painted the red strips and highlights on the shield as well .... im also in the process of repainting an old spare RVF25 into a custom YF25 prophecy ... If i know now i wouldn't have done starting with a rvf25 as a base ,i have to re-coat the whole figure in so many coats of white it not funny!

There are a few tornado I believe, if its cheap enough I could consider, but I think I wait and see how my claim goes. Unfortunately for me this isn't the only missing item, I had another toy went missing as well.:(

Nice work there. Interesting choice of Valk for the Prophecy. Would have thought you'd use your VF-25F and get a replacement of that. Wonder if you can put the radome on a VF-171 tho...

i choose the rvf because i had a spare that was lying around and also because of the head as well..i got the vf25f in tornado armor for display and im not going to buy another figure just for my first macross custom.. i was actually looking at doing a rvf171 cause now i got one spare radar dome :D it actually pretty easy to attach, you just need to drill small hole in the body to attach the stand for the dome ... the only problem is the radar antenna in the bottom....you cant use a stand if it down there ....

For cheap, no - just looked and I think eBay (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Macross-7-VF-19-Valkyrie-Parts-Sound-Booster-1-60-Yamato-/141070300647?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item20d871f5e7) is reasonable. $115 + $35 shipping. Retail is about $90, so it isn't extortionate. You'd be struggling to find any desirable Yamato items below retail now.

I got M&M !!! found them for pretty cheap, in 1/48 scale which I really like now as it got little extra detail that the 1/60 don't have like the flap on the wings and the air brake behind the cockpit with the transformation being almost the same .... :D I like how they included the animated hands as the robot ones look fragile and thin !

The Yamato 1/60 ver 1 was a rather horrible mess. Looked nice in fighter mode but gerwalk, and especially battroid, were duds.

The 1/48 prototype is what got me back into collecting premium technical toys. The 1/48 Hikaru with Strike packs from DYRL is probably still my all-time favorite toy... or maybe the Beagle Mospeada.

The 1/60 ver 2 were refined 1/48s to bring them into the 1/60 scale continuity. Bigger hands, no loose wing-flaps, better hip connection (although that evolved), better FAST pack connection, no bulbous canopy...

I also got Macross display stand by Hasegawa kit it for 1/72 kits ....but they fit the 1/60 model good!! so im getting more of them.... it a little bit flimsy but it hold the fighter with the gun pod good in different poses as well...... it basically just clip behind the wing holding it up :)

Just received my vf-27 with Super parts, I was too tired to play with it and left it in plane mode with super parts on. My Gundam Banshee FIX took up a lot of my time yesterday.

I have mix feelings about the super parts for vf-29, as if I am leaving it in robot form then it doesn't really impact much at all.

Also, I have already broke the promise myself that I only wanted Alto and Ozma and the vf-29 Isamu, so I am actually not in a very good position to "please explain" to my wifey. lol

If the super parts are at ridiculous prices like even for the current vf-29, I would skip it. I cannot see how they cost as much as a nice detailed Gundam MG kit.

So far the metal build have way more metal than metal composite Gundam FIX, or at least how I feel about it.

The Destiny Gundam metal built looks to be very well done, and it appears it was sold out within 2 minutes on Hobbysearch, HLJ, and Amiami. I was dumb to order from gginfinte but still better than Ebay pricing.

The Gundam Banshee is also pretty good when in destroy mode. Is kind of pricey I feel. Both of them are scaled 1/100 as you know 1/60 are very huge, and only in PG kits. I have not gotten the time to post a topic on it for Gundams

I think is one of the best made toy by Bandai for that series.
Lots of metal, great joints, I can honestly see my money's worth.
Also note, I am not comparing in terms of whether this guy is a better aircraft than the vf-25 etc....... is basically reviewing from a toy perspective and comparing to the Yamato version.

paid about $220 for it long time ago, you can find this about 19,000 yen to 25,000 yen plus shipping roughly

IMO is worth it.

VB6 monster ....well there actually 3 version of it ...the yamoto one....which is fairly old now , and doesn't look as good.... and there are two version of the Bandai one.... the orig one got the shark mouth with the eye(from the tv series) , and the SP edition got the Sheryl cover , with ranka picture where the eye are (from the movie) .....the one I got ...

Yeha the yf29 Alto super parts prices are crazy....that why I got the 30th anni one and repainted it , for my alto :D I also like the dark brown instead of the blue colour anyways , as the blue look to cartoonish

Did you ems or sal? I choose sal to keep my cost down, as it goes into my parcel locker safely. touch wood, I have no issues from any of these Japanese online stores so far, and some were from your recommendation and they all arrive within the 1 month time frame.

Showed my wife the Isamu (pics) and she said it looked better than any of the Macross toys in my cabinet. :) I think is the nice colour scheme they choose over all the dark dull types.

Woohhhooo :D my Yf-29 came today :)
it an excellent figure , all the joint very tight ... even the wing engine rotation is nice and tight clicking into place .... my figure came out of the box with a miss align shield at the back because the arm wasn't lock in properly , in which I had to transform the figure to fix it , but everything fits in perfectly .
The only other thing was that my cockpit doesn't close properly until I used a lot of force /twist to do it , don't think Im going to open the cockpit anymore as it is closed now. My paint job all good but I don't like the heart shape on the back shield as it just look out of place ... it a beautiful figure in all three modes ...totally recommend him . On with the pics .... enjoy

yeah I got it ...if you actually scratch at it... it'll come off...but that like with all of them not just the yf29 30th ... you just have to be carefully when tucking the nose under the chest not letting the two pieces scratch each other ....

Yeah I hear they're a "nightmare" to transform without something popping out or scratched. Hope you're careful with the transformations. Do you also have the super/armoured parts it?

Really? I've never found the 171 to any trickier to transform than anything else in the Bandai Macross Frontier line. The only tricky bit for me is the same with all of the Frontier Valks, getting the head out and aligning the various torso sections. I find the VF 25 Ozama custom the trickiest due to it's unusual head shape.

I have to say, this is so far my worst valkrie in terms of transformation. I take another VF-25 version 1 any day.

The Isamu isn't bad though I did fine the left legs don't always attach to the upper fuselage properly and it took me a while to fix that. Other than that though it wasn't too bad.

Yeah the vf171 shoulder totally sux and bring down the rest of the figure , which is very good in design .... have you try to fit the armour part on it ?! ...man it so scary cause it a very tight fit so you have to use a lot of force to get it on and you think it going to snap the arms off cause of the shoulder issue

the Yf29 is a great figure...I transformer it lots of time and it still in great shape so you don't have to worry about it :) you might have to adjust it as it come out of the box miss alighted ..the hands weren't in the right place so the legs and the wings were abit off...

Fix of the shoulder was just gluing the bits back which I have to take it apart now for Hobbysearch hoping they can help. Only hope, I won't hold my breath.

Bandai isn't the best for efficient design- if memory serves they painted parts for the YF-29 30th Anniversary stragely- like white on white and painting instead of having plastic over it instead. But all these are small gripes when you consider how cool they are once you transform them. :D

generally I enjoyed the Bandai Macross figures, but I really have to fault the vf-171 shoulder joints as it is a defect imo.

The last time I had such an issue was with my Karmen rider chogokin which the arm broke after a few movements.

Most of the time Bandai does make toys as toys not toys as models which what I felt Yamato mostly has lean towards. As Bandai doesn't make the vf-21 range I was forced to get one from Yamato. Can't say it was a bad figure.

Call it a brag but I opened my Isamu and I transformed it without looking at the instructions. And NO, nothing broke. I didn't understand why my friend was saying vf-29 a harder piece to transform than the nightmare.

Is basically like the vf27 just maybe a ted harder. Love it, and is probably the one piece I would choose if I need to only own one of this series.

Just sent my damaged shoulder piece photo to hobbysearch to see if they would do anything. I wouldn't hold my breath but at least I tried.

Only fault would be paint going off but otherwise pretty much spot on. I just transformed him back to plane.

I think the vf-27 would be regarded as the flawless piece for me, as much as it didn't impress me to begin with but was just amazed at the quality and finish of it.

Well.....overall I say the vf-29 Isamu is well worth the purchase. I have transformed it back and forth without any major issues. the shoulder armour was a bit tricky to pop it back into plane mode but not a major deal.

This would be my favorite of the whole series, my only wish is that it followed the vf-27 triple toes for the feet as it would have helped giving more support. the front fins may be a distraction in robot form for its legs movement and maybe it should have followed the vf-27 style.

As for my vf-171, I have given HS a photo of the damaged part. Cross my fingers I get a replacement otherwise, oh well...it got transformed once and only once.

The thing is, I am actually pretty sure that piece was already broken when I took the plane out for the vf-171, so when I start touching those parts it just fell off. They kind of felt that it would have been a major damage if there was a defect but in my case I took it out and I start noticing a black piece dropped out then as I go further I realised it was the NUNS bit that was broken.

But again, I am actually fine if they help me out for free or ask me to pay for the replacement part if I want it and if its not expensive. I think I am okay with that. If they do nothing, I actually have nothing much I can do except email Bandai Japan if possible. But thats about it actually. pretty much I cannot transform it back to plane mode. And to me, thats is an unplayable toy as all my other pieces transformed with no issues.

its a v1 .... yeah I just love the tornado , it cover all the imperfection of the v1 anyways , and it look badass without over doing like the armoured

mine broke at the screw area so there isn't any thing I can do. In fact is loose but when you try to close the shoulder back it will just break the area I repaired.

If only the 171 armour had a shoulder replacement like the vf-25S armour it would have pushed me to get it. But I decided to leave mine without armour for this piece. Felt only the long riffle looked nice but otherwise it was okay only.

it actually come with two new wings as well , with hard points underneath to attach the missile like the yamato .... that why the wing can pop out so easily

spend the day actually super gluing the nuns piece together! ... was checking it out last night pulling the shoulder out and one of it just crack into pieces :eek: ! so today decide to fix all of them up ... Both of my CF VF171 ,all four NUNS pieces, had cracks in them ...all at different places ..:rolleyes:. also shaved the groove bits on the inside as well.... and now it all good ...:D

Anyway, I gotten a refund of half the price I paid so I actually got a nice display piece for half price which is still good. Not too keen in transforming this sucker anyway. seriously bad design in transforming.

I kind of not a fan of his mecha head for his battroids of his colours but from this pic looks okay.

This is also the reason why I only have one of his planes in my collection.
I don't mind the Ozma ones though.

The box all battered up but the figure is brand-new! It still even got the oil on top of the figure! and also included the sticker set for it as well , cause I know that they send that out after ... so that was good ... I forgot how nice the vf27 is... I just love it feet ! ...but it doesn't look good in robot mode , and it smaller then the vf171 ...look very small standing next to it ... It come with the prototype fold drive and it also include another pilot in blue , the gun is massive and the clip for fighter mode is intergrade into the body . the shield got the blade in it as well.....
