i don't know if this goes here but it is a question so...

i remember a long time ago (well ok not that long ago for some of you, but it is for me) maybe 10 years ago or so, there used to be this show on cheese TV, where humans would bond with a mech or something, and then when they got out they were hurt or damaged i guess. yes this is extremely vague, and poorly worded but that's what i remember, which i think is good considering its over half my lifetime ago :P

so, if anyone can remember what that show was, could ya let me know. i remember enjoying watching it and want to again, now improved with the marvels of the internet :)

thanks guys

Nick

The first show that comes to my mind from your description is "Neon Genesis Evangelion (http://http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EgATlhZFAfs)" but that was on SBS not Cheeze TV.

It's pretty hard to forget a show where one of the main characters was named "Ball-sack"

You should be able to find the eps somewhere, however Teknoman was a re-cut, censored and dubbed version of a japanese anime called Tekkaman Blade. You might be able to find eps of that easier (though it won't really be the same show)

i found a really good boxset in Malaysia, it has the dub we got in Australaia and every ep.

In certain computer and DVD shops, they have single discs with a few eps on them

Technoman is one of my fave cartoons after transformers.

there was a website somewhere years ago that had a few eps online.

Should this thread be moved to the non-TF section?

pity your not in Sydney, i copied my original disk that had the first 4 eps.

In the complete box set, the dub footage is still orignal, so you see blades sister transform naked and how it was intended!!!:D

The best ep in my opinion was when Saber and the other evils show up at the Space Knights base and blast it to bits!!! woooooooooooo Pegaus!

wooooooooooooooo Cmdr. Jameson!!!

techno powerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

although i like the music in the original jap

i prefer the dub intro, its more dramatic and gives me the whole 'Ahhhh! the worlds being invaded by half plant aliens!'

The dub intro is not in the complete dvd boxset and in the american intro they call blade, Slade:eek:

I've retitled this thread and moved it to the Non-TF section. If others have questions about other robot/mech cartoons ask them here (someone else has likely seen it too).

I like Madman's Super Dimensional Fortress Macross box set. Check out the special features too, esp. the audio commentary. :)

I remember that. I only ever saw one or two eps but I really dug that stuff.

I can't seem to find a clip of it, but the closing credits for my version of tekkaman uses the music of prime's death from the original movie. So I guess it's a little tf related :)

Samurai Pizza cats was like ADD on speed!:D That show was hilarious! Mainly because the dub actors had no idea what the script was meant to be about.

The narrator was funny too

"We hope you like the show its the best we can do, SAMURAI PIZZA CATS!!!!"

Samurai Pizza cats is pretty damn cool. Roller, ill will try and find that version for you soon. There is quite a few versions of tekkaman and I just cant seem to keep up :p
It was pretty sweet that we got the best version (compared to america) and the full series, thanks to cheeze tv.

thats true King Atlas, we got the unedited version, i think the only edit we got was when all the girl technomens transformed-we didnt get to see their boobs.

I remember not liking samurai pizza cats because of the animation style, but the story lines made up for that. I remember it was shown on Agros cartoon connection, before it got rubbish.

It's its own contained universe (Cosmic Era) so no prior viewing of other Gundam series is required.

First series is Gundam Seed which follows up with the sequel Gundam Seed Destiny. Both are about 50 odd episodes long, can't remember the exact number, it's been a while since I watched them.
