Electroluminescent topcoat developed

This just popped up in my FB feed. At the moment it requires professional application, although the 1st video states it is available through approved paint laboratories for after market sales.

It seems this stuff can be applied to plastic, concrete, wood and metal. Personally I'd like to see it as a new type of light up feature to tf's. Imagine hasbro releases a generations punch/ counter punch with this little gimmick or updated technobots or terrorcons.

These are all hypothetical and I really don't know how much power is required to light this stuff up.

That's the beauty of it, you only need to find a discreet spot to attach the wiring. Not too sure if it requires recoating but the 2nd video mentions that you can put chrome over the top of it and it will still light up.

look out LED's your days are numbered. Imagine strips of this on internal surfaces of a display cabinet lighting up your entire collection (displayed anyway)

How awesome would this look on a model with windows, thinking USS Enterprise or a Metrotitan.

I would be really interested to know what it runs on, AC or DC and what voltages and Wattages it requires per lit surface area?

This is fantastic. Wish I knew about this stuff when I was modding my Mustang.
The applications for this stuff are endless.

I hope it comes to the market where we can do it at home. I would really like to see what ppl and thier imaginations can to with this stuff.
