Pretty simple... just add a mouthplate to Scoop and repaint. I did try some other heads but they wouldn't fit in the cabin.
And no, there are no plans for Devastator.

A simple, yet pleasing custom. Nice job. I wish they'd have redecoed Scoop into Scrapper, though with the possibility of a combiner wars figure I'm not as dissapointed. ;)

Nice! Hasbro must be doing this officially too sometime.. although with year of the combines coming up maybe they will have another mold for him?

Also, is it me or is Scrapper looking shinier than your usual customs.. either way it's  as.

Scoop has a Leg mode. What's your Scrapper look like in this configuration? https://twitter.com/paulformer/status/478018552394285056

Good eye: I hadn't put on the dullcote when I took these pics.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Wow he looks fantastic! And you've got the perfect green for him too! I love how your use of Hasbro molds seem to make better other characters than what they were originally designed for.

nice one snakey! I'd consider filling in the chest vents and painting over purple to milk some extra G1 likeness

I noticed the shine too. Looks good - have you thought of doing a gloss protective coat on your customs or is your usual matte finish a deliberate choice? I've noticed some customisers go for gloss, others for matte, I'm curious as what your thinking on the subject was?

Regardless, brilliant custom!:)

I use a matte finish, mainly because I think it helps my customs blend in next to official releases. To my eyes gloss paints/finishes stand out too much. But each to their own.

Do you put your customs on the shelf with regular Classics figures? It would be nice to see them all together and blending in.
