Never seen any source material that Lio Convoy was in but I'm sort of into this.

I'd like to see a video review though - transformation does look like it could be a bit simple, which is a turn off.

It looks pretty awesome, though I'm not sure it's for me.

Perfect Effect always make really awesome articulated robots, though a little lacking in their transformations.

I don't really have any attachment to Leo Prime but I'm getting a strong Zoids vibe fro the beast mode.

The transformation looks like it just stands up with the head and ass going to the shoulders. :o

And the hind legs are a bit weird in lion mode, too scrawny for the kind of the beasts.

just googled real lions and the proportions look fine to me, the only thing thats not right to me is the rear heel on the hind legs which lion don't have (ignoring the cannons on the ass)

its certainly a simple transformation, just move the lion's head over to the shoulder and then straighten out all the limbs - done, robot mode achieved.

at least the sculpt is pretty.

So it's safe to say this guys doesn't do a heap of transforming, not that the original does either, but that figure looks like it's had a whole heap of "Zoids" injected into it and I don't know yet if I find that a negative or a positive...

Bot mode looks badass, the Beast mode head feels slightly too big to me though.

a) it barely transforms
b) I've never seen BW2 and have no idea who Lio Convoy is beyond knowing that such a character exists
c) Liger Zero was one of the most boring Zoids

If it were cheaper - Maybe but at this stage, not worth it. Robot mode looks cool but the engineering looks to be simpler than even the original toy. At $150 a good robot mode is not really enough.
