In case anyone was not aware, and for those actually planning to buy a local copy, the fourth Transformers movie is now officially released to stores in Australia.

Some stores were selling their copies early, but today is the official release date, so if you are looking for one, stores should now have it in stock.

If you haven't seen it yet, or are having a more in-depth look at home, don't forget the review topic for your comments (http://www.otca.com.au/boards/showthread.php?t=18717).

JBHIFi has the stand alone DVD for $20. Awesome price for a new realease.
Probably a very bare bones version though.

Yeah, JB are usually pretty good with their prices, compared to the majors... or at least, used to be.

JB have an exclusive Bumblebee head 2-disc Blu-Ray for $35

Had a look around and best prices I could find were:.

DVD: Kmart/Target $15

BluRay (with bonus disc and digital copy): Target $24

3D BluRay: Target $37

There doesn't seem to be a BluRay/DVD combo set that I could find locally (which I'd like to get).

The Hoyts Kiosks have it to rent, and not coincidentally they have the first few TF:Prime releases for hiring too.

Anyone know if the 3D Blu-ray they have released here in Australia has the annoying aspect ratio changes that the American version has? I think if the Aussie version doesn't have aspect ratio changes that would increase my enjoyment of the film over the US version I have now.

Kmart had 3D version shelf tags if $29 today but no stock. Just $4 more than regular bluray.

I won't be watching this for a while (maybe after December 25 ;) ) but on the back of the Aussie version of the 3D Bluray it says "3D includes shots expanded to fit the screen". So presumably yes it has those aspect ratio changes you dislike.

I am up to the bit where the Autobots regroup in 3D and there has been no aspect ratio changes so far. Not sure if there should be, but there you go.
