I know it a little bit early but hey.... it's only a month left to the year now... four quick weeks and it's the new year so as the title says what are your goals, plans,targets and/or aspirations toys and TF related (or 3rd party ;p) items wise. :D But, lets limit this to a maximum of 6 and minimum of 2.

Probably the Maketoys Defensor (I think it's named Guardian) if it comes out in '15, I think it will get pushed back.

Maybe a Generations toy or two. RID and Combiner Wars aren't exactly wowing me with their reveals. I might start hunting down FoC toys, who knows.

In two weeks my wife goes off work until 2016 as we are expecting our next bub in early Feb. So being on one wage and with another mouth to feed I'll have to wind back my spending. So my goals will be pretty modest:


1: Get the Combiner Wars toys
2: Get at least one G1 figure I don't have (only got 2 this year)
3: Have all my back-ordered products with HLJ and BBTS finally come in (MP Magnus, Tak/Tom Jetfire, Chromia, Brainstorm, Arcee, Dark Side Soundwave etc)
4: Keep up with the IDW comics


Anything on top of that will be a bonus :)

2- buy any new MP Autobot car that comes along, I hope there's a couple next year - it os by far my favourite line these days
3- buy some Combiner Wars and give Warrior class RID a chance.

Depending on the theme, set etc I might chase up this years Botcon set and associated toys.

Although I'm limiting myself to 1x each release unless it's a key figure (Magnus, Bee, etc). I have no connection to Exhaust or Starsabre, so much as I'd like to, it's 1x for those.

Beyond the spacebridge, as it were, the DC Collectables Batman The Animated Series/The New Batman Adventures figures, and the Hot Toys Back to the Future Marty McFly. The 1:12 Mezco Dark Knight Returns figures also get a guernsey.

Back to TF (outside of MP that is), Arcee (Hasbro - on its way and Takara), as well as the CW Powerglide and Bombshell. If there's Constructicons, then maybe those but that's about it.

As for 3P: Apollyon, the Fans Toys Dinobots (possibly excluding Grimlock) and maybe, just maybe a KFC Transistor.

I'm trying to cut things down, but unfortunately I've ended up with a love of pricey items!

Star Saber is already on pre-order, not bothering with Exhaust, but who knows what else will be announced for 2015.

Anyone setting themselves a budget ceiling this year? I dont normally keep track or budget purchases (not just toys, games too) but was thinking i probably spend more than i should, just cause i can afford to. Half my purchases last year fell around christmas and looking back i didnt expect most of them so i ended up spending more than i'd have liked. So i thought a limit of $100 or something a month, $1200 a year... Is it something i could stick to?

Maybe we could make it a challenge on here to see who can do it! I think if i end up under budget around December, then a "treat" purchase might have more meaning if i was selective enough to leave some in reserve for a pricier, special or unexpected item! It's less fun knowing i can get anything with only the wife having a problem with it to worry about! :D

I've been thinking about this over the last couple of days because I too probably spend more than I should. I'm definitely cutting back on what I spend, and the buy now decide later approach hasn't worked. I had a thought of buying nothing but that's not likely. Maybe a budget is the way to go. I think my ultimate goal for the year is that the total number of TFs I sell from my collection is greater than the total number of new TFs I buy.

I generally find that trying to stick to my rule of 'RRP or less' tends to keep collecting more affordable. Pre-ordering MPs really helps to make them a lot cheaper.

Well I plan to finish off most of the armada toyline by the end of the year (I need to grab the figures off Sinnertwin if he didn't sell them yet). Unicron seems unlikely but if not this year, then next year I plan to at least get Unicron and Primus. Nevermind looks like I'm gonna get these 2 by the end of the year

Other than that not much, just YOTG Soundwave.

Im right on schedule with my MP collection up to 27 Ironhide on preorder and everything in between including red Bee.

I just wanted to have already an MP11 Starscream but now out of the budget (Both Starscream and Soundwave was around 190aud each only early this year when i only have one choice, i just picked Soundwave and never expected SC to go 250aud and above after a few monthsi just would hope for another reissue)

Ok I've pretty much stuck to my original plan here, including passing on W4 of Combiner Wars, and picking up MP G2 Bee.

Grabbed some missing characters in my Classics-verse lineup, a few TFCC releases for the same reason, and signed up for next year's TFSS 4.0.

Did grab Prime Knockout and TAV Strongarm as the characters are pretty cool, along with a couple more of the various Prime Vehicon releases.

So I'd say I stayed pretty close to on course from my earlier prediction.
