Toyfair season will officially announce the new Lego lines and licenses for 2015, but a few tidbits have already been leaked online and noted in the recent issue of Toy & Hobby Retailer magazine.
Jurassic World has been leaked (http://www.toyhobbyretailer.com.au/news/jurrasic-world-lego-dinos-leaked-online) as a license for Lego, with some Dinosaurs already showing up on a Chinese website. (the movie comes out in June 2015)
Batman will also be featured as a license, since it will be in a spin-off movie from the Lego Movie.
Ninjago will also have a movie that sounds like it could be in theatres instead of straight to DVD like previous ones (probably because of the surprise success of the Lego movie), so is likelyt to have an expanded Lego range for it.
Bionicles will be returning to stores in January 2015.
And for something just before 2015, if you are in Sydney before December 26th, make sure you check out the worlds largest Lego Christmas tree at 10 meters tall, and a record largest Lego construction in Australia of half a million bricks. It can be found in the Pitt Street Mall (http://www.toyhobbyretailer.com.au/news/world-s-largest-lego-christmas-tree-lights-up-sydney), with a light show five times a night until Christmas.

I went and saw it, but somehow it feels less than 10 metres tall. I wonder how they've measured it...
Still, it was pretty cool, and my daughter loved the music and lights (which happens from 8pm onwards).

I don't Lego. I got a few of the microfighters this year but if I got anything bigger I'd be all President Business.
I'll definitely take a look at the Pitt St Mall tree though.

I am hoping the the Star Wars UCS for the second half of next year is a new Millennium Falcon. I have the last UCS X-Wing and it is awesome.

Bionicle's making a comeback. Aw yis. I'm not really into the newer Ninjago, it feels a bit out of hand to me. But if they can make a good movie, I'm all for it.

Slave 1 is the next with a Jan release, with the rumor being second half will have a new TIE fighter

Has anyone seen any of the 2015 sets anywhere yet?
And does anyone know if the last Hobbit sets are a TRU exclusive? I've seen them at a couple of TRU stores since November but nowhere else.

Anyone know when I should be expecting the 2015 Marvel sets to show up locally? I have no idea what type of lag time we have on Lego releases in Australia.
Looks like an expensive year with the Helicarrier as well as regular Marvel sets.

Just released some of the Marvel Ultron sets on amazon, but no shipping outside USA. I saw some of the 2015 bionicle, agents and DC sets in London in early Jan but none of those have made it here yet, so there is at least a months delay.

Great they must be close if Kmart's allocating space.

Agreed, Lego does not like having empty shelves in stores for long.
Maybe a Valentines day on shelves is the aim...;)

The Kmart I visit has also reorganised its Lego section over the past week. Huge wall, currently only half full (or half empty).

But a perfect way to spend Valentines Day, building new Lego!

Scalpers will be going mad for it, like the Amiibo's for the Nintendo games.

So... Doctor Who and Wall-E being the next two licenses for Lego (http://www.toyhobbyretailer.com.au/news/lego-announces-doctor-who-and-wall-e-sets?utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Newsletter+17+February+2015&utm_content=Newsletter+17+February+2015+CID_2be8e8 ac99ce6cc94dd5b1d05b7c511b&utm_source=Email%20marketing%20software&utm_term=Lego%20announces%20Doctor%20Who%20and%20W all-E%20sets).
Interesting.
I guess no more unusual than other cult favourites like the Back To The Future... and they had the minimum support from fans to be approved.

I really want the Agents of SHIELD "Bus" set that's up for a vote right now on Ideas. Where's my Lego Agent Coulson?
I see at work we just got boxes of Lego sets that say do not sell before 2014. Sigh :(

How much of a price difference is there between shop.lego.com and retailers on new items? Given how I can't find any of this years sets except Star Wars locally I'm thinking of ordering all the Avengers sets including the Helicarrier from Lego.

Myer, David Jones, and Target usually have their prices as the same. Big W and Kmart are usually a little bit cheaper.

It really depends on what you are after and how much of a hurry you are to get it. Some stuff (like the Hellicarrier) may only be exclusive to Lego shop. But their prices are generally in line with Myer, David Jones etc.

If you're gonna be buying to completion http://www.shopforme.com.au will probably do an Avengers Bundle comprised of all the 'regular' sets. They've done this for the first Avengers film, the Hobbit etc. And since your order will be over $150 you get this all shipped to your door for free.
They'll probably do a decent price on the helicarrier too once they get it

The prices on the LEGO online shop are Australian RRP, same as the major department stores such as DJs, Myer, Target. LEGO items at Mr Toys (QLD) are also all RRP. Big W and Kmart are normally a dollar or two cheaper for the smaller sets. At Kmart, larger sets around $40 can be around $5 cheaper. The Cargo Train 60052 at Big W is around $25 cheaper than the $299.99 RRP, a little under 10% off.
In some rare cases sets at sets at Kmart can be unusually cheap. For example the Galaxy Squad Vermin Vaporizer 70704 (2013) was RRP $69.99 but at Kmart it was permanently $54, more than 20% off.

Before I could order any sets from Lego.com the Big W I work at got the 2015 Lego Movie sets. I was just after the Double Decker Couch, but an impulse buy meant I bought all 3 of them. The car from the chase set reminds me of a certain Decepticon bad cop. Still going to place an order for the Marvel sets tho cause I'd also like the Exo Suit before it's gone forever and don't want to pay $30 postage.

I just went to put together the Hydra Showdown set from Marvel The Avengers line.
Is the gun on top or the Hydra buggy really meant to be loose and not actually connected? I feel like I did something wrong.

You are supposed to use that silly spring hero jumper thing to fling them at the buggy and knock it off. A sort of "action feature"

I received my new Lego Catalogue with my Lego club mail today, the Star Wars Force Awakens Lego will be in stores on September the 4th, there are no pictures in the catalogue but there is one page devoted to this news. It has a picture of the ball droid (sorry don't know it's name) and a pile of mostly brown, grey and black pieces in sand. Also a number designator of 75099 which I just Googled and it's Rey's speeder bike, makes sense going from the pile of Lego in the picture and the teaser trailer actually.
Very exciting :)
